    Sid's explanation changed my perspective for doctors being arrogant about their knowledge, what a great guy. This reminds me of a quote from Einstein :" if you can't explain it to a five year old you didn't understand it well enough". Sid explained things beautifully.Thank you

      @preet7449 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@hanitsudan2433 Hi Hanit. Time, self analysis and a lot of change of habits help with the treatment of it, but if theres other underlying health factors (like hormonal changes, thyroid, etc) then its essential to get that treated by a professional too. That helps a ton. Unfortunately it is not something that can be done instantaneously but I made a lot of changes in my life over a period of time, that gradually aided the recovery of it. For example, removing myself from toxic relationships; addressing my long term internal turmoil; physical exercise; meditation (doesnt have to be to anything or anyone, just the ability to control the thoughts); financial stability (savings a little bit here and there to control my anxieties) etc

      @@preet7449 I really want to see a psychiatrist but I've so many questions, I don't want to take medications because I've read so much that they can be addictive plus the fact that they have so many side-effects and they do make you numb. I've personally read countless self-help books, books on human psychology and everything out there that can be of help but it seems like everything only works going through that content, I really want a long term solution now but I'm just clueless at this point.😪

    • @preet7449
      @preet7449 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mernik5599 Hi Mernik. I can understand and relate to that feeling. I had a brief time on anti depressants and thought the same thing but the fact is that there are many different drugs available out there now that the doctor can prescribe for us. The first step is the professional. If they prescribe something then try and give it a fair chance first and if you feel it is not of any use and you want to come off them, then you have done so whilst atleast giving it a chance. Secondly, I understand that after being depressed for a long period of time can feel endless and overwhelming, but my only promise to you is, that day by day, is the only way we get over this. Little by little. Keep putting in the efforts that you have been doing. There are many free resources now on the internet that help you figure out step one of the journey

    • @preet7449
      @preet7449 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also guys, I am in no way an expert. I can only voice my own experiences, so I really do urge you to talk to professionals, friends and most importantly your self, as well. Process your feelings in writing. Speak to yourself as you would a loved one that was experiencing the same. It can feel like we have so much that needs "fixed" and we are "broken", however this is not the case. If we suffered trauma, then we need to find, address and treat those old wounds. You are so much more capable, strong and resilient than you think. ❤

It's one's ignorance that holds him back from being the best version of himself. Oftentimes we are ignorant about ignorance of ourselves. Omg this is relatable AF. As we speak. I just woke up this morning feeling like this. Infact I'm living with this for quite some time. Now I need to trick my brain into feeling good. I've done that before also. So glad I came across this.

    Don't know if this is true, but I feel like Kaneez also went through depression and seems relieved that she got a complete insight into what happens in the brain while attending this session. I feel she has a sense of relief!

    This is just insane...I didn't know that we can actually explain the science of Depression! I think I know many people who are not depressed but are affected in some way due to this in-sync of motivation-action-emotion including me and somehow it has just given me hope and made me more sensitive in these matters. Thanks a lot!

    I just wanted to make a point....
    Many students who kind of stay alone for education etc go through Depression...or in other words stay away from Parents or maybe feel parents will not understand what they r feeling....and they wanna go to a Doctor for help but end up having financial troubles to even go to a doctor....what do v/they do then ?! I hope all this makes sense !

    Guyss....as someone who had to go through a very bad experience once.....
    Sharing your problems with someone is important for sure. But something as important as that is not sharing it with someone who underestimate your condition. The point is.....only share your problem if the person is genuinely concerned about your wellbeing.

    It's been over 2 years where my father constantly compain about diffrent type of pain , headaches , chest pain , sleep deprived etc , he had taken an MRI gone to best doctors in the town for the particular cardiac problems as well as headache but nothing came out.
    Whenever we tell him maybe try going to a physiologist , papa is like i am not mad ( his exact word meh pagal nahi hu , mujhe janna ke jarurat nahi hai) now we don't know what to do ? We do know that he has like changed a lot from being extremely hard to a soft hearten person.
    He is unable to drive properly , he can't see the road the way a person see , we have kept a personal chauffeur for him to drive him to places , though that's a relief we still need to figure out what is happening..
