In all the time I've spent in jets in BT3 and 4 i wolud recommend that, if you can destroy another aircraft with your main gun, you should use something to get rid of ground artillery as your secondary gun because that way you have covered both air and ground from your jet. (sorry for the bad english, i'm from south america)

the active radar can do ground damage too , doesn't require a lock on and shots fairly accurate if your aiming down

As much as I agree with you with most things, I would like to point out that the J-Dam bomb is actually the best secondary weapon you can equip with the Attack jet, since the 30mm is so fast and powerful you won't need that backup to finish the job on air targets, if you get a bad run, come back around on the air target or just keep taking wider turns on your target jet and then finish them off, for AA, just go up as high as you can, and drop the first bomb as far away as you can onto the target, there is no warning for a J-Dam so once their vehicle is immobilized from the direct hit, just carefully swoop down slowly until you get the reload for the J-Dam and fire the second bomb, then evac immediately regardless if you hit the target or not, as you get more experienced you will be able to gun run a tank then swoop and quick fire the J-Dam, come around and repeat and that usually takes care of that tank.
Thanks for the video. Switching controls to veteran is the best tip ever. I switched then went to test range for a little bit to get used to it. Joined an air superiority match and got 11 kills first time. My previous record was 1. Finally unlocked the ucav.
Rocket pods were my favorite on battlefield 3. Wish they had rocket pods or even hydra rockets for the stealth jet. Use to be pretty good with the f-18 on conquest. Now I feel like stealth jets are just so underpowered, and I don't play air superiority much. Attack jets only ones worth flying. Been messing around with the jdam trying to figure how to use that effectively.

Ike the 30 mm because it can get a lot of damage and has great accuracy and I like to boost or slow down on the turns great video stone!

This helped a lot
When it comes to gyro stabiliser I personally don't bother because it's easy to control the jet during a mobility hit once you know how. When you take a hit the jet will pull hard into a roll, either left or right, just continue rolling in that direction over and over and you will be able to fly straight. You can then pitch more severely at different points in the roll in order to change direction and avoid the terrain. Personally I like the stealth coating because it gives me enough time to dive low in amongst buildings or hills to break the lock.

That was more for the beginning of bf4 after mobility hits on aircraft flipped them over no matter how good you are, even xfactor and levelcap couldn't hold it steady.

The ECM jammer is the way to go IMO. If you flare and a enemy is using something that requires a target to be locked, they can just aim away from the flares and lock again, but the ECM can prevent ANY lock on, and allows you to quickly escape.
Passive missiles can be used to surprise attack. They can be fired before locking,so you just shoot randomly,and lock on kicks in and the missile just sharp turns and disables the jet. Did that with a RCB while being chased by a buncha helicopters
Also, Tip number 3 with jets this time: keep your speed between 300, and 310 when in a dogfight, if your opponent is absolutely dog water then you have garunteed kills every time, if they are a great pilot it will take a lot of work to keep getting on that tail so do not let the stress get to you, keep on that tail, keep making them panic, and keep them busy.
Hey SM64, prior to your video I was using the almost exact same controller pattern on my PS4 so it does translate almost exactly. There may be some subtlety that I didn't realize but the settings are similars and obtain similar results. !

Broo go to settings and gameplay then advanced settings and change the color of your jets hud you can have it any color i prefer dark green it sticks out in the sky but you cant see nuthing with it colored white and you can change crosshairs and everything.

Good, but in the stealth jet use the stealth coating and ECM countermeasure. Also the JDAMS are the best for the attack jet
For stealth jets, the 25 and the 30 mm do the exact same damage, only thing is, the 25mm has a slightly lower fire rate than the 20mm and takes 7 seconds to overheat and does more damage per shot, the 30mm can fuckin wreck jets and heli's if you're accurate, but it takes 5 seconds to overheat and it shoot 650 per minute (it does the exact same damage as the 30mm in the warthog, Fantan and Frogfoot, but they crippled the fire rate). Active radar missiles are the best secondary weapon for air to air combat only, while guided missiles can be used to hit infantry and armor on the ground. The hydra rockets do an insane amount of damage to infantry and armor if you can use the crosshairs, TV missiles sucks for killind soldiers (I've tested this and the best I've gotten was a fucking 40 kill assist for hitting a guy in the fucking leg as he was prone), but they are amazing for hitting boats, heli's and armor, you won't need guided missiles in the attack jets because you have the 30mm and 3other weapons, and the JDAMs are fucking powerful (the most powerful of all of the secondary weapons) for ground targets. It's literally a 2 hit kill for all armor targets, and kills infantry in 1 hit with splash damage to follow. The trick is, it's all about positioning and timing (like a mortar).

Attack jets are my fav, easy to get kills fast, I have both jets maxed out, and I prefer the attack jet when it's available

The other difference between flares and ECM is that the ECM also blocks laser target missiles, the flares don't. Good vid.

Guys a good tip,Many people say shooting your both air to air missiles out early on a aircraft with countermeasures ready is nooby,but use that when you are close there,when you reach knock your measures and shoot both missile's, If you think it will deploy the measures before you shoot,spam your rockets, Miniguns ect. to see if not deployed quickly drop the missiles

20mm is the way to go for jets. Use guided missile for vehicles.
You should Be running 25s, And the Laser Guided. Assisting your teams engineers against boats and tanks, The role of the jets in battlefield 4 are way way more important than you think, Its not a taxi for snipers, Jets are selfless, sure you will get kills but you shouldnt need anything other than your chaingun, to take aircraft out, 20s or 25s and Laser Guided all the way not to mention youre faster in a stealth jet, meaning faster strafing runs. use those LGMs
J-DAMS FTW.Great tip on ranking up attack jets.Get in a server where there is a commander and attack jet e.g map rogue transmission.The map has to have the AC-130.Let the enemy cap that point that controls the ac-130 nd wait for it to spawn in.Then just shoot it down.Plus J-DAMS do 50 damage to a tank.If you land both you can take it out in one pass.

Also, IMHO on the stealth jet machine gun, I'd recommend just going with what you prefer, I've been OWNED madly by people with each type of MG 30 is slow but it inflicts massive damage, 25 is inbetween both and personally don't like it much because of that, it doesn't feel like it has the crushing power of the 30 and lacks the speed of the 20. 20mm if you manage to stay on target, it shoots so fast it kills the guy almost as brutally as the 30mm so I've seen it being used very efficiently.
ya the shots from the 30 are very powerful, but have to be very accurate with the slow rpm, the 25 is balanced for me and my sometimes bad accuracy but I will step it to the 30 sometimes as well :)
Really seems to be one of those things that you pick depending on the feeling you get from using it instead of it being better than the other.

the best way to defend yourself is controlling your speed using rudders for left and right drifting loops and to start scissoring.
when scissoring just cut the enemy in your backsight until he overshoots at one point and needs to headon you aggain.
once he lost you you ecm and theres a good chance to hook him (see him before he sees you).
its just all about cutting and beeing smarter than the enemy derp.
since the 20mm buff a while ago you need about 1.2 seconds to kill a jet with 20mm (83 DPS) and 1.5 seconds with the others (68 DPS). also the 30mm velocity is awful. 20mm maximum spread is capped lower than 25mm which leads to a clear winner

i use the bombs and there really inaccurate and splash damage isnt great but when they hit (not to often) it does 40+ damage. you have to have good luck and an educated guess as the bomb hit it affected by you height

Also in terms of defence against these jets ALWAYS ALWAYS use active protection as it allows you to defend against anything trying to hit you for that short period of time, meaning you have more chance to get that quick shot on the low flying idiot pilot and then you can T-bag if you're salty xD

basicaly... you dont. thats the "hover" feature in the american F-35 jet. if you slow down enough, it will automatically happen. and you will "essentially" hover

seriously? the fire power of a fighter jet... think about it for a moment. tanks. & attack helicopters dont stand a chance. also. if done right. it can enable you to "break" and get behind a Chinese/Russian fighter jet thats behind you... that cant hover. e.g you got someone on right your tail? go vertical and slow down.. and you will hover. the jet following you will continue forward. passing you. then you throw on the boosters. and suddenely your on HIS tail. its a hard move to pull. but awesome when done right.

TV Guided missile is not an option since you need to put the jet on a very low height to hit something, also your jet stays still while controling the missile and during a short period of time after the impact because needs to regain that velocity. In brief, you get very exposed, also it has lower damage than the JBOMB. So it's not realistic to use in my opinion.

The 25mm has increced dmg against aircraft and base against ground, it has splash dm too for infantry
They also get on your tail and you and its not easy to get on there tail

Laserguide missiles in attack jet are for the noobs and idiots bechose it requires lock and tanks can hear it and use activeprotection/flares. And hydras,tv-missiles,and jdam are much more powerfull, you just need to practice couple hours!!!!

jere seppänen i simply lock them, but dont fire. they active defenses, go a little longer and return. You can shoot them. But if they re in combat vs other tank they re simply fcked cos surely they wasted their defenses.
Everytime i find someone tryin to shoot me missiles i know is a noob and normaly he goes down with my 25mm :D
garpagarp Yes im agreed ,lgms are for noobs but are still powerful, if you know to use it good,it would be disastrous to enemy tanks too,also in start you are given that Noob guided missiles,but one good thing,you can use the missile against air targets too,if a recon have enough time to tag a aircraft for you,which is epic these days as most recons are now learning to quickscope headshots

problem with these videos its usually 20% introduction and useless commentary 30% random talk about upgrades WE ALREADY KNOW and 40% him jetting with a friend or in a favorable scenario. None of these guys ever attempt to do a 1 v 2 jet fight or will ever show you. BEcause you can't. Once the skies are owned by 1 faction goodluck trying to clear it.
