SALT has no "academy" alliance, our sister alliance is HP!. they're also S1 and a bit more powerful than us. If you're interested in coming along for an L4, ours will be over next week, if you could contact the deputy or R5 directly for inquiries that would be great. I just handle information.

The first skill is not infantry specific. So it should work on any unit. So im curious to see if maxing out skill 1 and 4 would be a nice cheap big bump in damage if you throw him on an extra arty for example.
That would be highly inefficient. 3/5 skills are infantry specific. And skill damage (damage coefficient) stacks much higher than the normal damage buffs. Admittedly, his is very very high with I think a 50+40 bonus. But I think that'll fall short of a 1500 DMG coefficient. We tried estimating what that translates into for skill damage. We never completed nor saved the work. However, we estimated through a series of tests that 1500 damage coefficient is roughly 150% base damage stat applied as skill with no reductions (unless they specifically have skill damage reduction)
If I had access to the PTS, 100% I would test this theory for you, however it requires statue investment. And I can't see with how previous testing, it would be a viable investment for me. However, if you endeavour to undertake such a task, please let me know as I would very much like to be involved.

So 10% damage buff is better than 40% firepower buff? Overall - agreed, 100% skip. What a disappointment for a new Infantry Officer. My testing with the slow is that does not work as a shared skill - so maybe a glitch - but I am not going to invest statues into him just to find out if its glitchy or not. A Sold PASS. :(
so firepower effects 3 stats where damage only effects 1 and that ratio is greater. so just because you are getting say a 30% firepower bonus, donest mean you are getting a 10% damage increase like you would with a flat 10% damage bonus. We did start working out the ratio on discord one night and got it to an approximation. but my brain just turned off aroun 0300 that day and i went to sleep and forgot to save my work.
The key issue is, would you rather have the increased accuracy and reload time with firepower or just everything on damage. Inf units already have a very very low reload time, so firepower only really gives them higher accuracy which you can get well clear of 85% just through gear and classic/modern mechanic. so i dont feel its overly needed. however, as i always say, the level of customisation is high and it can work for some people. plus these are only my thoughts.
