      I know alot of guys in gold and up use steel fighter to double shield the infantry at higher levels. It's not something I'd do as you lose out on 2 damage resistance skills, on positive side, you get the 30% skill damage reduction to the base and a 2,000 coef shield. However if you want to double skin the infantry with a shield, you could train lonesome stars special ability (for a triggered 800 coef shield at max skill) on Everbloom and then run angel of light in aide for all the health benefits. If vox isn't your thing. I wouldn't say steel is a bad choice though, but what you gain in shield, you lose in efficiency elsewhere

      @@AlexGonzalez-bi3qnI'm just out here trying to help people man, too many people want to gatekeep gameplay mechanics from more casual players. I don't like that.

    Great Review! I agree with everything you said. My take: Vox's 1st Skill is better IMO than Everblooms Awakened skill. So, I will only be using EverBlooms 2nd Skill for the skill damage reduction of 30% on another unit. I like her third skill - but I have better options. So for me, she is a solid pass. My pet peeve? Artillery gets AMAZING officers, Tanks and Helicopters get AMAZING officers. Infantry, let's be 100% honest - meh! They have some decent abilities here and there, but they don't blow you away like Artillery and Tank Officers. 100% on point - thanks!

      The main issue with infantry is they're fairly irrelevant. They're really only good for attacking a base, pretty much everything else they suck at. So the options, realistically for them, even though there's lots of infantry officers, is actually pretty limited as they need to be geared towards that one thing. SH on the other hand, you can gear for base shielding instead of soaking up damage. So you get a bit of wiggle room with the options. Plus, tanks/helis do damage, so you can actually use those officers on other tank types. They need to add a few more infantry officers with area of effect utilities before they become more attractive to a wider audience I think. This all being said, my alts infantry is actually really good. It's got me all the way to campaign 8 at 7.0 level 120 with 6.1 tanks supporting it

      @@TheSmokingCheddar Thanks for all of the testing that you do. That's basically what I use them for. But, it is a necessary function. So I suck it up and do it :)

    oh before I forget. Does it make sense to get Master Hacker as a shared skill, if I am already using Liberty Infantry?

    • @TheSmokingCheddar
      @TheSmokingCheddar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Off the top of my head, master hacker is warrior whiz, eeeehhh no, I wouldn't train that skill. If you're lucky enough to have him unlocked (because he's no longer available) then you need to use him 100% on a damage unit. I had him on my ATG until recently. Insane damage output on skill damage and unit damage thanks to the critical strike rating. I'd recommend a MBT or Heli for him unless (like me) you're artillery heavy. Because the tank advanced tech tree (once completed) makes critical strike damage hit even harder. As for infantry specifics, I'll be honest, lib are probably the "best" at defence. Due to their camp ability. If I were going to train a special skill, I'd likely go illusory from princess. "Increased chance to dodge attack" even a small chance could increase the survivability of the unit and thus contribute towards a base assault success. But 100%, please for the love that's holy use wiz if you got him xD he's just all levels of depravity and insanity for increasing damage and applying skills

    So would her second skill (Survival Guide) that reduces skill damage taken - would that stack from the one from Countess (One way or another), if I did a shared skill onto her from Countess?

    • @TheSmokingCheddar
      @TheSmokingCheddar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      there is no indication that it wouldnt, I would use the "firepower" rule of thumb here, as we can stack multiple firepower skills in training, it would make sense that this too could be trained in.... thats a sneeky idea. because if both of those are maxed, thats a hell of a lot of skill damage reduction.
      I like this.

    • @Kevin.Boyle007

      @@TheSmokingCheddar I don't think it works - I have tried "stacking" them, and she still gets wrecked :(

  • @Kevin.Boyle007

    So I put some statues into her - I am not convinced that her first skill is worth a 5. It really is a VERY small shield. When you look at how much damage the New Generation Officers get and what they can do - that 1875 maxxed shield gets stripped away in about 1-2 secs. Making it in my mind, essentially useless. I think Vox is far more useful - because her first skill offers a flat 30% damage reduction - and using skill share you can always train EverBlooms best ability (30% Skill Damage reduction) onto Vox. Vox has a few other useful abilities that offer far more utility to your base or units that fight along side her. Honestly - I feel Infantry Officers as a whole are very sub par compared to their tank and artillery counterparts.

      the main issue with shielding inf is the low hp stat for the unit. if you stack it higher with balanced and defensive training skills, you could have amore effective shield. infantry is iffy. vox is easily one of the most usful support officers in the game, I was bummed when i had to rotate her out. I am still playing around with the inf on my alt from time to time, it'll tick over to mil training in about an hour from now, and I am hoping to get a 7.1 inf unit on there and give that a go and see if we can expand knowledge through game skill. I'll likely continue to invest in the defensive set up as bloom/vox and see what it comes out like at its full conclusion. I am hoping I will have some sort of hard as nails inf

      Let me know how it turns out. I have invested a lot into Infantry - and unfortunately when I talk to high level players - they all dismiss me, saying hardly anyone plays it... yet, I see TH-cam shorts of Infantry demolishing tanks and heli's. So maybe instead of using them to soak for bases, maybe I'll just use them as a field unit? The slow from the Bear is sharable - and 30% on all of the time.... sounds sweet!
