    I put 3 jugs of coolant in my vehicle and it was empty the next day, saw massive puddles on the driveway, bought k seal and it almost immediately sealed the leak.. wasn’t sure where it was coming from … I highly recommend

    All of these comments and videos that show it working makes me feel better. Just discovered a leak somewhere(and not knowing where it was coming from) but the suspect was definitely the coolant, as I noticed after filling the reservoir not too long ago and only go to work and back with vehicle I found the coolant low. So I bought this and followed the instructions.. it all just sounded too simple and good to be true 😆 I’ll be looking at the reservoir later, but I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that learned about this on a whim in an effort to save hundreds of repair costs.

      its all depends on the size of the leak ( it can get you by for a long time ) i had a small leak in radiatoir ( i forgot it was there 3 months going ) it will go but when is the question... Its not a mechaic in a bottle but it can get you up a going again ( to prep ) for repair

    I bought a 289 2bbl, automatic '66 Fairlane 500 convertible a number of years back. First time on the interstate, running 70 mph for about 25 miles, it ran hot. Cooled down, removed thermostat, put in coolant, etc and paid closer attention and quickly found it getting too hot again. It was okay at 55, so I drove home at 55. Investigated and the radiator would only barely flow water out when I took the lower hose off and ran my water hose in the top. Bought a new radiator, hoses, etc and it barely got better. Volunteered to drive one of a number of "festival princess" kids in a parade. Less than 1 mile took about 45 minutes and it was running hot again. Cold weather came and with the car at above 180 degrees, no heat. Pulled the heater core...not a drop of water came out when I tested it. Replaced core, heat is good. Running down the road above 55-60mph and still getting too hot. By the end, I replaced all hoses, the radiator, heater core, thermostat, water pump and the belt and yes, I made sure to check the engine timing, etc. My conclusion is that if, over the years you put enough stop leak in a cooling system, you will have deposits of it all through your cooling system and the solution might be to hot tank the block, heads and intake manifold to clean that mess out. I don't know if that will actualy work. So, yes, I am certain stop leak treatments work. I will NEVER put that cure for leaks in anything else I own. This story is not made up. When I sold the car, I told the couple that bought it that it did not like running over 55 mph for any length of time or it will run hot. I did not make any of this up. If a heater core leaks, either have a shop silver solder it up (copper) or replace them. They aren't that expensive. Same for the radiator.

    I watch this video after thinking about engine coolant leak seal. When I saw this video, I had no doubt that leak seal would do the trick. I
    I used the same item, name K Seal after finding it at a local O'Reilly's parts store. The price was $36.... And was worth every penny of it! It work within 30 seconds!!! I have no more leaks!!!! That stuff works like a charm!!!! Thanks for the video! You would get a five star rating from me!!!

    You can only say how it is. Had a bad leak from my wife V6 Mustang 1995. Tried Radweld and it didnt do anything. Went to our local Car parts store and they said use K-Seal. Pour it in as per instructions and the leak stopped almost right right away. The leak was from behind the water pump. We have had no leaks since and we put it in 3 years ago. It has also been flushed through and new coolant put in. Still no leaks. I fully intend to have a spare bottle in the trunk for emergencies. It does work believe me.

It was winter, we couldn’t do that! Would have cost over $1000 to fix. We dumped K-Seal in and it absolutely worked! We dumped 3 in there all together. The last K-Seal we bought at Walmart for $12 on sale. It was much higher at Advanced Auto and O’Reilly!! I couldn’t believe it actually works!

      I was not sure it would work, either. But I was losing so much coolant every time I shut off the engine and overnight. I had fresh coolant running through the engine all the time. I took the well shaken K-Seal and added it to a bowl, and then added 3 empty K-Seal bottles of fresh coolant to the bowl. Mixed well, I poured it all into the radiator and filled up the overflow reservoir. I started the engine with the heater on full blast and let it run for about ten minutes. Then I gently drove the car on a country road about 45 miles per hour for 15 minutes. I parked and shut off the engine. That is when I put my usual catch container under the car where the leak was coming from the water pump above and saw that one drip. So I figured, well, it was worth a try. Next morning, only that little drip was in the dish! Been running with no leaks at all for over a week, and at perfect operating temp. Drove two hours to another state and back yesterday, no problems, all all ...

Just shake very well and it to coolant ( check to see if you need to add a little coolant ) and then let it idle for 15 mins after adding it.. They want 800 bucks for the heater core (2003 ford explorer) and then when I got it looked at by a different person he said intake manifold gaskets bad, and he wanted 900 for that situation… Sooo a year plus wear and tear. We had a small leak after an accident, added K-seal, the leak stopped. After 2-3 months I flushed the radiator (no leaks during the process of the flushing, when you idle the car w/max heat ~ 15-20 min). The car was sitting like 2-3 months (I did some re[pairs on it). I totally forgot about that previous leak. Then I drove it like for ~20 mi, having it in cool mode, no leaks. Next day my husband took it to work and though it is summer he switched on Heat mode, like half way, bcs he remembered about that leak and thought it would be better for a car. So car went like ~ 30-40 mi and when he came back he said he observed some overheating, when I went to see, the sign on low coolant appeared on the dash, and the coolant container was empty. I added coolant, but after like 10 mins of driving the coolant went way down again and the sign for low coolant came (again he was keeping the Heat mode on). Then I switched the Cool mode on and the coolant in the container (I added of course) remains on the same level. What that can be that the car (2003 Chevy Cavalier) is loosing coolant only in Heat Mode? Is it something w/Heater core? I don't know if the Heater core is involved, when you drive in Cool mode. I would appreciate any comments on this matter. Thank you for a great film.

    • @bstfordchannel923
      @bstfordchannel923  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Know very little on Chevy, but let say ( i have seen ) a valve turn on on some cars and the valve is on the heater hose. So if that valve turns on in heater mode THEN I can see that the heater core can be a issue, but where is the leak coming from or going... The fluid has to go somewhere.. Then if you fine it then you can figure what it is.. Inside the car or coolant smell inside the cars Heater Core.. this is a odd one

    • @olenaerhardt7725
      @olenaerhardt7725 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bstfordchannel923 Thank you for the replay and explanations. I thought there was a leak, but when I added the coolant at the very first day we saw a sign on the dash board it was rain, so it might be just water. I think maybe when I flushed the coolant I didn't warm the car enough for the heater core to open and didn't add enough coolant. So when my husband started to drive w/Heat mode on the H Core got open, took some coolant inside and that caused the drop of the level in the container. I didn't drive that car yet (we use other cars we have), and the only thing I can say now that the car is not loosing coolant when it is sitting. I'm not sure or to add K-seal for any chance before driving, or to add distilled water if there is a need and find that leak if any. I've read somewhere that adding K-sealant can cause problems w/Heater Core (which might be exactly our case, maybe smth was cracked in it during the last accident, though the blow was fm the driver side and no fluid was observed on the floor of the passenger side), or w/water pump. I'll update after more observations of the car. Thank you again.

      where is it leaking sometimes ( well most times ) you can repair it.. Yes you pour right where you at the antifreeze. you may need a water pump who knows.. maybe best to get it checked out
