I dont know much about cars and my 2012 hyundai santa fe had been overheating due to a leak. I watched this video this morning and did exactly what he said and so far my car is fine. I will be watching more videos of his to help myself out. Im a 30 year old woman and would love to learn more about cars. Thank you for this video!!!
So I just went to Walmart. Bought the last thing of K-Seal. Shook it up. Cold engine btw. Opened reservoir, poured in the reservoir plastic tank, poured more coolant. Ran it on idle for about 15 minutes with heater on full blast. Then drove around with heater on blast for about another 30 minutes. Streets & highway, got up to like 90 speed. Came home no more leak. Of course some coolant leaked out before the seal became closed. Gonna top it off tomorrow & see if it leaks. So far so good. 2001 Grand Marquis, 183k miles btw. Will give weekly/monthly updates. This is my main TH-cam page so I’ll respond guys.
Yes so far this stuff has been pretty good to me. I've used it 3 times so far pegood I've had success every time Period Please keep us all updated I really appreciate you tuning in and leaving the comment
Worked like magic for me. I could not locate the exact source of the leak. I just poured one bottle of this K-Seal, drove around for about an hour. I parked the car and checked it in the morning, no more leak. I strongly recommend this product.
I'm extremely happy with K Seal. Lately I've been adding a gallon of antifreeze every day. Always puddles under the 2003 dodge caravan. I'm sure would have been expensive to fix so I tried k seal last night. Within at least 10 minutes of using k seal, it seemed to stop the major leak. I drove it for about an hour after adding kseal. Parked it an checked it later on. NO LEAKS. YAY!!!!
SAVED me $800! I own a 08 retired Police Crown Vic 155K miles. My car developed the somewhat common expensive to repair, slight coolant leak at the intake manifold. I was looking at about a $800 repair as everything must come off and a new manifold is required. Knowing my car may not be worth a $800 repair my shop suggested I try a stop leak. I have never had any luck with any stop leak but I started researching and the reviews look good with K Seal and the fact that on the bottle suggest If the leak can be stopped, it will be a permanent stop! That statement sold me to at least try the K Seal. I used one bottle of this K Seal in the large 4.6 V8 coolant reservoir tank and the leak 100% stopped. I thought about a month later that now I had the leak stopped a good test would be to have the coolant system flushed and filled with clean water / antifreeze but no stop leak and I truly expected the leak to return but no, now almost 2 years and even after flushing the system I have ZERO coolant leaks! VERY GOOD STUFF! I will never use anything but K Seal. Saved me $800 and is holding up 2 years strong! I'm 100% sold on this product! And to think, I almost paid the $800!
I was watching video because because I was thinking about trying a leak sealer for my crown vic manifold leak. Thank you for this comment, I will definitely be getting some k-seal today!
I'm a lady 65yrs.K-Seal ALLOWED me to bypass a bogus macanic, trying to charge me twice for a broke water pump, but he didn't know K- seal was my friend❤😂🤗👊.I've used K-Seal for 30 yrs& I'm using it now on my water pump. Been driving for 8 mos(3/24-10/24).It's best to shake very well, pour 1/2 into empty pop bottle, add antifreeze, shake well, then pour into unrunning engine. Then add more antifreeze if needed.K-Seal allowed me to save the money, bought me time. I Paid $30 (2 bottles) vs $600.
Great video showing a real test using a hard working truck . This video convinced me. Thanks to you and your crew for giving it a go. Good filming too.. 👍.
I've never used this product, but one I have used for over 35 years is Bars Leak. If the one you used fails, use Bars Leak. Only difference is you warm up vehicle before adding. Once coolant starts circulating you add it in. I've never had it not work. Thanks for the video. This product looks to be a good one also.
Isn’t there a couple types of Barrs Stop Leak? Think there might be one they make that looks like ground up aluminum in a small tube. Which one have you had luck with? I just have a tiny coolant loss and can’t find where it’s going. Runs awesome and no coolant in my oil. It’s a 2001 Camry 4 cyl with only 114k miles
Debating on using this. Just did a headgasket job. Head was resurfaced and overhauled at a machine shop. Deck had slight warpage, but within manufacturers specs. Machine shop declared I'd be fine. I thought about using that copper spray sealant just in case, shop advised me not to. That the MLS will seal the slight warpage. But they were wrong. I got coolant seeming from the side of the head. Most likely it's coming from the block. I don't have the time or the funds to tear it all down again. I just may have to try this stuff.
My first time using it!! This past Saturday I drove my 2014 Prius from Chicago to Texas 16 hours non stop, only gas a go! Yes I was super scared because it was a long trip and I can tell you that this K-seal works great!! Stop and don’t listen to other videos because I watch like 10 videos and some get scared lol but don’t be afraid just do it trust me this safe me $2500 to swap another engine!! Recommend to drive your car few miles in the highway don’t just put it and let it seat because it might not work!! Shake the bottle for at least 1 minutes just to be in the safe side!! I ONLY USE A HALF BOTTLE AND STOP MY PROBLEM. I drove over a 11 hundred miles and yes my car is in Texas with no issues! NOW I CANNOT PREDICT WHATS COMING NEXT BUT SO FAR THE CAR IS FINE 👍🏼💪🏽
It worked for me, I took my truck to a mechanic to have the intake manifold gasket replaced for an air leak and rough idle, the mechanic replaced it but sprung a leak and basically told me i was screwed so I went to pick up my truck and on the way I bought some k seal, Drove it home which was about a half hour ride and it fixed my leak and the mechanic said it was screwed, lol. I took it on a long ride on the freeway and around town and it ran perfect so I would recomend this to anyone as a option before going into costly repairs
My car was using coolant on long trips, and there was bubbles on the radiator, I didn’t have the money to change the head gasket rn soo I just found out about these sealer’s and bought the K seal, drained and clean the whole system put new coolant on it and the k seal, let it idle for 30 minutes, then let it cool for 3 hours, again idle for 30 minutes and cool for the rest of the night, about 10 hours, there’s no bubbles, doesn’t smell like coolant getting burned and doesn’t smell like gasoline on the reservoir.
I had a really severe coolant leak on my 2005 Taurus with the Vulcan engine I was adding like 6 liters of coolant a day. I guess it was the timing cover gasket. I put some k seal in and it stopped the leak in like 10 minutes. I’m very impressed
Saved me $800-$1000 on my 2002 chevy silverado. My heater core was leaking and to replace the heater core my entire dash has to come out and would take 6-8 hours to replace it. Put k seal in it and been driving it for 3 years now with no leaks.
I used this in my Jeep with a leaking heater core. Stopped the leak for about a year! I just added another bottle today hoping it will hold for another year 🤞
Update: Didn't seal it this time around had to replace the heater core. It helps if u have a junker that you're trying to get another year out of or so
I had a leak in my 2000 C5 Corvette. My mechanic recommended it. I poured it in after following the directions and it stopped the leak in about 5 minutes on the top of my radiator. I took the Vette out the next day and put about 100 miles on it. Came home pulled in the garage and checked for the leak and it was gone. Everything where the leak was is dry. This products works. Since it worked.so well on the C5 I put a bottle in my 2006 X5 BMW. This product saves me a bundle. Good luck.
I have a small leak from my water pump...I hope this works cause it only leaks maybe a teaspoon of coolant every 24hrs..don't wanna have to take it all apart and apply sealant.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!! I didn’t shake the product up before using dumped about half of it in my coolant until it started getting thick before I realized I never shook it up. I added some antifreeze to the bottle and shook it up. I pour the rest in there and let the car run for 35 mins. No more leaks.
Used it on my 2011 Crown Vic heater core leak...major leak..stopped within 20 minutes...still works. And the new formulation of Bars Leaks has...fibers added...copy?
Used this on my 18 explorer that developed the dreaded water pump leak that is incredibly expensive to repair just got to work that’s about an hour drive from home and no leak!
I wanna try this but a friend of mine that’s an ASE mechanic told me it does more harm than good and he’s not the type of guy who says stuff to get your business. He loves working on cars and has done many things for me and other friends for next to nothing but I don’t know what to do
You are absolutely correct. It is a sealer and it's exactly what it does it seals. It could clog up the heater core and other passageways as well if a large amount is used. These types of additives should be used as an emergency basis only if you are low on cash and need to get by for some time want to stuck somewhere and need to get home etc... however I've used it quite often over the years and never encountered an issue

I have a radiator leak somewhere, my car doesnt run hot at all, the heat and air still works normal, i purchased k seal, if I pour it in could i still drive with it or do i need to wait a day?
I did purchased Water Pump for Mercedes S320 car year 1999-2000 K seal works but can i drive home 120 miles or better take side roads. K_seal was used for water pump 6 weeks ago and I did only made 2-3 miles trips No problems. Tomorrow have to drive home on 8/9/23
I've used it for a few applications and Each time it has worked for me period. However, it's hard to say on much larger leaks. If corn is flowing through it, then the casio should create enough blockage to get you home. If it is a rather small leak period I have yet to test on larger leaks.. I guess the bigger question is. Is your water pump just leaking From a gasket seal And still properly Moving The coolant through the system ? If you absolutely need to make the trip, I would suggest just bringing some extra coolant with you And keeping an eye on the temperature. But from my past experience the k seal has work every time

I can't say that I am 100% certain if the antifreeze is a activator for this stuff or not I do not believe it is I think you will be okay with adding it just to the water itself. Everybody's situation is different whether this stuff works or not however for my test on two occasions it worked great I have heard stories with other people that said it did not work for them and judging by some of the comments here it has been pretty effective for other people as well.
Hi I put in k-seal today. I watch the video last night but when I put it in I forgot to Shake It Up so should I buy another bottle or do you think it will work?
It's really hard to tell. It may work it may not. The shaking is an important step. It's kind of like coffee and sugar if you put the sugar in the coffee without stirring it you won't really taste the sugar too much it will just go to the bottom same goes for chocolate milk if you were to put chocolate in milk without stirring it it doesn't really form into chocolate milk. When you poured the container in did everything come out of it or was there a thick substance still on the bottom of the container?
Sounds to me that it's either a very large hole in the radiator or possibly a bad or loose hose. I'm not too sure about adding a second bottle. Maybe one of the viewers can chime in on this and see what their experiences with adding multiple bottles however it's always risky when you add even just one bottle. Before I add the second bottle I would certainly try to see if you can locate the leak first.
So I did use kseal apparently we found the issue but also found a bunch of kseal in the heater core thermostat and radiator ...now having to replace all new ...I believe it worked but does it clog...please Enlighten me
We ended up replacing the radiator anyways just a couple of days ago only because the winter is coming and we didn't want to take a chance of the radiator going bad in the middle of a storm. But that stuff did help us get through a couple weeks.
WARNIiNG MAY NOT WORK ON EVERYONES VEHICHLE!!!! On my 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan: this K- Seal did not work! I 1st drain out all my coolant from bottom hose... Then ran sink water for 2 more flushings and just warmed the van for 1 0 mins on each flushing! Lastly I flushed my radaitor with distilled water ran 10 mins and drained out thru bottom raditor hose! After all water was out I refilled 50 / 50 All Season Radiator mix but pure straight anti- freeze, no water added! Then poured in K- Seal and heated motor 20 mins. Went to bed today drove it to a carry- out store and family dollars. Leaked in the same places: 1.) dipping from top right side of radiator. 2.) Drivers Side bottom on front Condensor at the line going into condensor! Did nothing to fix my problem! Time for a used junk yard radiator! Limited Income !
Oh no. This is not true. K-seal has caused serious damage to my engine today. I can not recommend this product to anyone. Now I have prepare $3000 to buy a new engine for my 2018 Ford escape SE turbo . This is not right.

Before I add the second bottle I would certainly try to see if you can locate the leak first.
So I did use kseal apparently we found the issue but also found a bunch of kseal in the heater core thermostat and radiator ...now having to replace all new ...I believe it worked but does it clog...please Enlighten me
Additives such as this certainly could cause more harm than good if too much is used over and over.
It worked for me too. How's it going for you 3 weeks later?
We ended up replacing the radiator anyways just a couple of days ago only because the winter is coming and we didn't want to take a chance of the radiator going bad in the middle of a storm. But that stuff did help us get through a couple weeks.
@@youtubestar thanks for the answer Rob
Can this product be used multiple times like say after 2yrs a leak springs up again, can the k seal be used again?
👍
