      which is better the Logitech Mx Anywhere 3 (Mac version) or the (standard version) or the new Logitech Mx anywhere 3???

      @Bitza00 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      None to be honest, the only reason this mouse is worth its money is the productivity boost you have using it, ditching the left/right side scroll on the wheel is not good at all productivity wise, I had the anywhere 2 and using now the 2s. Definitely will not go for the 3 without this critical function. Hope this will be back somehow...

    • @TT-ud5gf
      @TT-ud5gf 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Valentin Mantoiu this version 3 can scroll horizontally by holding either side button and scroll. I’m curious what do you use those 2 left/right button for?

    • @Bitza00
      @Bitza00 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TT-ud5gf why does anyone use them? in a mouse like this you need to have them for productivity, holding them to use this function will automatically create unwanted back/forward actions. 4 direction wheel eliminates this unwanted action. Cause, otherwise why would you spend the money asked on this unless for work/productivity?! Certainly not for gaming. I have the Corsair Glaive RGB, G603, couple Microsoft ones, Anywhere 2 and the 2S, MX Master 2, sooo having quite a bunch of mice I believe I know what I'm talking about when it comes to functionality purposes.
      But that's just my thought, wouldn't you agree?

    • @TT-ud5gf
      @TT-ud5gf 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Valentin Mantoiu I bought Anywhere 3 yesterday and I found that holding the side button while scrolling the wheel is not ergo. The moment I use my thumb to hold, my pointing finger becomes weaker. I’m new to productivity mouse. Using Anywhere 3 in spreadsheets, whenever I intended to horizontal scrolling, I pressed the side button and kept forgetting to scroll and hence unwanted undo|redo happened.
      Do you recommend MX Master 2/3 or Anywhere 2s? I use it for reading code and reading log files in which I have to scroll vertical/horizontal and increase/decrease font size.

    For anyone wondering about side scrolling on the mx 3, if you hold either of the side buttons while scrolling it scrolls horizontally.

    3 feels like a step backwards. 2s is better. i use scrollwheel left and right for volume up and down. Also the free wheeler doesn't roll as far as 2s. i guess they wanted to make the wheel more stable.

  • @jerome5969
    @jerome5969 4 ปีที่แล้ว +66

    I have used both and I still prefer the anywhere 2s. Mainly due to anywhere 3 scroll wheel doesn't have enough friction when scrolling even hyper-scroll is turned off, it feels like always a free scroll. Anywhere 3 lost 2 macro buttons, that is the side scroll - which is very useful on the 2s (you can set it up to volume up/down, brightness up/down, etc). Lastly, aesthetically side grips on 2s looks and feel better.

      Looks like they also went back to the standard nano receiver rather than the super slim nano receiver the 2S came with. I feel like there is no real upgrade here but just a lazy "refresh" to keep the model current. I'm in the market for one but I think I'll buy the 2S over the 3. Disappointing.

      Have you played with the sensitivity in the software? I use the MX Master 1 and 2s and found it takes a bit of back and forth to get just right, once you find the pivit point I find it hards to switch to a normal mouse. also you could re program what was used as a middle mouse button as a media button which would then do volume up/down skip forward/back and play/pause. (My wife has the mx anywhere 1 just for context and I keep saying it needs the scroll wheel from the master series)

      The tilt wheel is definitely something I like in contrast to the side wheel of the larger MX Masters. I like the side wheel for Premier but it's a pain to use in Adobe Audition. Might get the Anywhere 2S since it's costing less and less now. Something of use when being mobile.
      And I hardly use the middle click because of the free scrolling.

    Hi,
    My MX Master 3 has gotten sticky because the rubber coating has worn down even though I haven’t used it that much.
    Does the MX Anywhere 3 have the same rubber coating?
    I’m looking to get a more compact mouse, and it seems like a good option, but I’d like to avoid the same problem with the coating.
    Cleaning it doesn’t do the trick, rubbing alcohol supposedly wears down the rubber even more.

    I'm really not really impressed with Logitech's latest offering. There's no place to store the USB dongle and horizontal scrolling is, to put it mildly, not ergonomic if you need to hold the side buttons while scrolling. Here’s some advice while I’m not a gamer I’m a graphic design student and I use the mx2s as my second mouse when I’m at school or not at home and for longer projects I’ve had my hand get strained because of me using the mouse a little more aggressively and for a longer period of time. It’s because the mouse is so small that for me to grip it and have my finger tips on the buttons I have to close my hand a bit more and due to that there’s a space in the palm of my hand and that’s where I would feel the strain. It’s hard to explain but if I were to use this mouse like a regular one my finger tips would pass the buttons so I have to retract my fingers a bit. I will say though this has only happened twice and I’ve had it for probably almost 2 years but I imagine since you’re going to be gaming you’d probably be using the mouse a little more aggressively. I actually use the Logitech g602 as my main mouse at home and it’s worked great for me and it’s a gaming mouse only problem I have with it is that it’s not truly wireless it uses a usb stick so I have to make sure it’s close to the mouse if not it’ll start to lose signal.

I even went as far as to buy the new g604 thinking it would be as good as g602, unfortunentely it isn't. Even though its almost the same weight the g604 doesnt have the same curves and rubber feel as the g602, so its too slippery for me.
      I also had an Anywhere MX 1, also loved that mouse, unfortunentely I lost it during travel. I had no cramps or problems with it, even using it 8+ hours per day.
      I don't consider myself a serious gamer of any sort, I don't play competitive. For example I use a Logitech MX Keys as a keyboard and I see no difference gaming with it or using my old mechanical wired keyboard. I just find it sad now a days we spend $150 on gaming mices that even have RGB but it doesnt have a simple bluetooth connectivity.
      I think I had pretty much every G-series mouse from Logitech (aside from G-pro), including some flagships like Master MX 2s. Right now I'm using a G603 because I like the shape, the battery life and it has bluetooth so I can switch between work laptop and my desktop. My desk is small so I share the same keyboard and mice for work and personal computers, and I just wish I could have Logitech's version of Razer Pro Click. Since I never had good experience with Razer.

    You can easily lithgten the Mx anywhere 2s since to provide more weight and premium feel the mouse have a pretty beefy metal weight in it that can be removed easily with no functional loss if you prefer a lighterpuse. So that's where the weight probably went, Logitech just thought they maybe exaggerated with the weight addiction in the 2s

Sorry for being a little pissed off, but this is not an honest test. It is an exchange between the company and you. Logitech is gaining sales, and you are gaining likes. I'm not pissed at all, I love to have constructive talks. I always try to lay out facts plain and simple so people can decide for themselves, especially in a comparison like this one, within the same generation, which is pretty straightforward. Some things are more obvious, some not, a lot of them have to do with personal preferences too. The biggest issue for me, when trying to find "something bad", is that I can't have the product long-term so I can really go for those nitty and gritty problems that users notice or get over time.
