Try to look for a regular non-police car. They're much cheaper and while they don't have all the HD stuff they're just fine for the street. Plus the back seat doesn't smell like used wine and shame. Kind of a win-win there lol. I found a few civilian Crown Vics and Mercury Grand Marquis in my area for 2 or 3 grand. Low-ish mileage too.
I just got my swap done and for some reason the electric fan is kicking on as soon as the engine is started. I mean even when its cold and hasn't ran for hours. And of course all I done was a swap. Never done anything under the hood except disconnect the battery ... that's it. Is this something you all came across before. Also I haven't retune the computer yet .... could this be why the fan runs constantly?
Ranges from 1500-3000 for a 5 Speed swap. Depending on where you source your transmission and whether or not you make your own pedal assembly. 6 Speed is WAAAY more expensive all around.
Tried this before and wasn’t able to get the transmission bolts out that the catalytic converters were blocking (Not very top two but the ones right below them on each side). Gonna give it another go in the future when i have more time to let the car sit since it’s my daily. Sweet video though
@@WillBABH I cut a little after the primary cats (rear cats are deleted) but didn’t remove the cats themselves. Didn’t feel like dealing with the studs breaking off
@@shawnrussell6464 You can use an SCT tuner and get a tune from Marty Ochs from MOs speed shop in dallas, GA. He’s done a bunch before and he’s a cool guy to work with
