I’m planning my 2008 crown Vic can I use a 04 transmission or has to be the same year also for the harness wouldn’t you have to replace the whole engine harness so the Manual transmission works properly? Or you guys just wired it yourself or added an adapter for it?
What year is this vic? I have an 03 and am finding so little content and wondering if I bought the bastard year vic or something. I will buy parts that "should fit" and they are either from the previous gen or for 04 and up only -.- I have always had weird luck with buying cars.

Question! Flywheel bolts?! Something that's never talked about in any 5spd swap videos. Manuals have a longer bolt as the flywheel is thicker than the original CVPI flex plate. And that's where I'm hung up on my project. Did you all just use the original shorter bolts that come with that automatic? Or did you all hunt down the Mustang manual flywheel bolts? I almost wanted to try and use my original ones, but I just can't get comfortable with them as there's only 5-6 threads to work with.
@@BoostandBadHabits if I were to do this in my 96 grand marquis would I have to get the 5 spd from a 96 mustang 4.6l.and would it swap over easily or would I have to redo the rear gearing.
It would work on yours aswell but youd have to buy the 92-04 pedal assembly from adtr. Really the only difference is ours is drive by wire throttle body so it needed a different pedal assembly.
The pedal swap is 500 right out the gate, obviously can be done alot cheaper if you can fab/weld and make your own. Clutch kit will be 200-400 on the cheap end depending what you go with. Also dont forget a pilot bearing for the crank. Trans you can probably find close to 500 typically any less and they have synchro issues. You can use your stock driveshaft but have to change a ujoint and use a mustang yolk. And you'll probably need a tune aswell. It could be around 1500-2000. Maybe more if you pay soneone else for wiring and modding the trans cross member also fluids. Its really a pretty easy swap though and can be done easily in a weekend taking your time.. If you decide to swap it and have any questions along the way just shoot us a message.

Did you have to move the PCM to engine bay for clutch pedal to clear? I'm currently 5sp swapping a 2004 Marauder, your videos have been helpful.

We used ARP flywheel bolts from a mustang.

Hey I have a question for you you think a 2008 mustang GT sctx4 tuner works on a 2004 crown Victoria
Not 100% sure, but as long as the sct handheld is unmarried from the mustang it should be usable on another vehicle.
What kind or tuner you run in your crown Victoria

We have a built motor sitting on a stand with some decent sized cams for it when the times come.

Its seen around 130 few times. Never had the need to grab 5th and keep going. No issues so far.
