the upcoming Shadow of Intent album is continuing the theme of the last album, just in the modern day. "Elegy" was about atrocities from WWII, and the new album touches on current wars
It's funny that you mention his word choice when you pulled up the lyrics because I found that early ERRA had the same thing - and that's one of the things I enjoyed about their lyricism. Love both bands, but I don't mind the elevated language choice that much. There's definitely something to appreciate about being able to get a message across with simple words, though, for sure.
Regarding the complexity of the lyrics and the out there vocabulary, there might be some use of a dictionary or thesaurus, but I think Ben's vocabulary is pretty legit, given he's been doing this sort of lyrical work for close to ten years now.
Death metal and deathcore lyrics sometimes is like reading a thesaurus, you're right there lol and the stereotype is "KILL YOUR MOM" lyrics or some BS like that...
Can you please check out Inetria Levianat Featuring Jacob Charlton of Thornhill? y'all are missing out on the song also their new album second seasons came out last month it's a banger.
Whilst impressive, I'm not the biggest fan of their tracks with vocals. I tend to listen to them as instrumentals and they BANG. Love Chris' guitar playthroughs too.

I absolutely love the drummer, I can't remember his name off the top of my head. But he's an absolute beast! I'd really love to see him on drummeo!!
