Melancholy too brother lol got to hear flying the black flag couple weeks ago in Cleveland get to bang with them again tomorrow night in myrtle beach south carolina and heard the migrant but idef agree been deurr is def on a dif level from most death metal front man and yes he's so mf good live seen them 3 times now and 4 tomorrow night but man there def becoming my fav death metal band I def feel like these guys are so underated and they shouldn't be cause there so fucking good live and they make such good music that's is a blast to listen to and get lost in and head clear ur mind when your battling your own demons and there fucking funny and kewl ass dudes to talk to fucking love this band ❤❤❤❤\m/
Shadow of Intent's albums are Primordial (2015 I think), Reclaimer (2017 I think), Melancholy (2019), and Elegy (2022), and this track just came out earlier this year, and is most likely the first single off the next album. As far as my opinion goes, my favorites are 1. Melancholy 2. Elegy 3. Everything else, but I say this is their best track since Melancholy.
I listened to deathcore when it first started taking off and quickly got bored with it because so many of the bands I was finding just felt a bit insipid to me, so I stuck to listening to mostly just Whitechapel, Carnifex, Suffokate and a few others. I recently just listened to this band for the first time a couple weeks ago and I am absolutely hooked! Ben's vocals are some of the if not THE best vocals for a deathcore band I have ever heard. There is something about his lyrics and vocal style, along with the music that draws out this feeling or emotion in me that I just don't even know how to describe. It feels like the musical embodiment of the terror and destruction of war. If war was fought with music instead of lethal armament, Shadow of Intent would be the "Tsar Bomba" for me.
Yooo, Shadow of Intent is Co-headlining with Cattle Decapitation on a big European tour and will be through the UK (If you're not from there I'm so sorry for being an ignorant american lol) But do yourself a favor and go if you can. Even if you haven't gone to this genre of music live before, get yourself some decent concert ear-protection and go if you can at all. They are two of the literal best live acts in music right now. Regardless of Genre. I promise you'll be blown away. SoI was the best live show I've ever gone to.
