Never considered using Unrelenting Force on insects. Dartwings in particular are near impossible to catch. Must give it a try. Only downside I can see is the shout scattering the little winged buggers across the countryside.

Little trick to make the Skill Book usage even better, Go to Solstheim as soon as you start the game and talk to the blacksmith to begin his Quest. Following this questline will take to into the mines and down into the Drauger tombs. At the end you will get your first Dragon Priest Mask and the Bloodskaal Blade, as well as a very cool shout. More importantly however you will also get your first Black Book. After reading it and making your first trip to Apochrypha, you will be awarded with a choice of three new permanent powers. Choose the Scholars Insight power and now every time you read a Skill Book you will get 2 levels instead of 1. Given there are 5 books for every Skill in the game, it means you only need to level up to 90 in any skill, then read the 5 books to hit 100 and saving you hours of time. You should also avoid reading the Oghma Infinium until you hit level 85 in the 6 Skill of your chosen path. Reading it at this point will bring each skill up to level 90 and you can just read the regular Skill Books at that point and max them all out. Given there are plenty of Trainers who can get you to those levels for Gold, it can be dead easy to max out at leas one full set of Skills ( Warrior, Wizard or Thief ) in very little time.

If you have the Rare Curios Creation, which became free for all Special Edition players when Anniversary Edition was released, Corkbulb Root and Gold Kanet also have Paralysis as their first effect.

However if it would last a bit longer, say a week in-game then it would be far more useful. Shrines have the same problem, only lasting 8hrs in-game. They should also be at least a week long, though in their case permanent would be fine.
The mod Mostly No More Animal gives you powers to stop animal attacks for 1 day 7days and 99 days. Odd choices. Anyway, it does affect vampires, which makes some quests boring. Additionally, the days active are more of a ball park figure, it seems. I forget to count. @ASavageEye
I have a tip for going down the mountain without falling! Face the mountain, walk in a direction of a bumps below you, no matter how small they are. So it's like falling faced mountain, but bumps don't let you fall to much to take some serious damage

It is worth noting however that this is not because they are still afraid of you but rather because it is their natural behaviour to run around even when passive. Some creatures it does not effect which it kinda should are Trolls, Spriggans and Ice-Wraiths. If I remember correctly however this is intentional, as it is Lore based.

I’ve never seen this talked about anywhere so hopefully this is new. Fortify Restoration potions affect dragon shouts. I accidentally slow timed myself for 3 irl months when paired with the resto-loop. So quaffing a normal resto potion with slow time paired with zephyr and perks makes Matrix time. I call it the Eversor Archer.
how bout telling us stuff we didn't know in ESO? Such a massive game, tons of secret ways to solve missions that people don't explore, it's why I turn quest markers off, you can complete some quests in alternate ways just by genuinely coming across an alt way to finish the mission, etc.
I don't remember where but there's a Dark Souls reference I believe. Taking a shot in the dark, if you walk along the shore that's north of Solitude you'll find a ruined house. Inside there's a snuffed out bonfire with a low detailed sword in it. This was long ago so I could most likely be wrong on both the object and location.
Unrelenting Force’s most useful feature is the ability to punish your followers for randomly talking to you during dialogue. Bonus points for yeeting them off High Hrothgar

Read the first black book at the end of that dungeon, then choose Scholar's Insight and get 2 skill points for every book you read, giving you 10 points for every skill.
#5 reminds me: there's a "shout" you can learn, called "become ethereal". it makes you look like a ghost. you can't be harmed that way, but also can't harm anyone else. that ALSO prevents fall damage! also, an obscure quest i discovered, it MIGHT be a recent addition: just outside Riften, there's a dock. wandering around the dock, or in a building, there's a female Argonian. talk to her, and she will give you a quest: take a Dwemer artifact, and put it back where it belongs. doing this gives you two permanent bonuses: Dwarven Armor will provide more protections, and Smithing skill will improve 15% faster! i'm not sure, but i think the entire dock area is new, added along with the Fishing minigame, and that "seducers" quest you can get from the wandering Khajiit traders.
I have over 5000 hours in Skyrim currently, and I have never heard of that last Easter egg before. Though restoration loop is way easier for magic immunity with the Atronach stone. Lol
Fun fact: The dialogue choices for the Last Dragonborn's family can be construed as Lorkhan talking about the other gods. So if you're really invested in the theory that the Last Dragonborn is a Shezzarine, the dialogue choices are all technically correct.

My ex played through almost the entire bards college trying to get the Wabajack. I was on my first playthrough as an Orc and some guy walked up to me and lead me straight to the quest.
If you don't have all the words of Become Ethanol it may not last though the entire fall, and you can't shout while jumping or falling so if you didn't actually mean to fall off something you may not have that chance. These are edge cases, though; you're right that the shout is generally more reliable and also infinitely accessible.
note sure if its in the base game but there is a chest behind a waterfall to the right of the word wall when you face the wall in bleak falls. you can even see it near the top of the exit stairs tho it looks like its behind the wall itself (no im not talking about the other chest thats on the left side.)
Technically you can also adopt the guy who always follows Mjoll from riften around. If you marry her, then move her out of riften, then he will almost always be at your house. 😂
The biggest problem with the adoption feature is that it sometimes just doesn't work. You adopt the kid, they say yay! then... never show up. They stay where they were. And you cannot try to adopt any other kids from that point on.

You don't exactly have to "shout" at them to get the roe. Shouting just makes it easier to catch them. You get roe regardless, as long as it's jumping salmon.
Why does no one know of the free horse you can get at Riften 😩 if you ask the owner of the horse stable for a brawl and win, not only do you get 100 gold but can also ride away with the horse he is selling and it's not marked as stolen! Granted the horse doesn't see you as its owner and when you dismount it'll start walking back to the riften but it's the fastest way I know how to get a horse early early in the game :)
9:20 this is why I play with mods, so I *CAN* build something between the Serana and the Dragonborn. She should've been a marriage candidate the entire time, don't know why Bethesda didn't implement it. They did record married/marriage voice lines for Serana, so it did seem to be planned at some point, just don't know why they cut that particular piece of content. But hey, mods can fix what Bethesda left out.

Yeah, sometimes the wings/insects fall into the terrain.

You can catch dartwings by coming up underneath them in the water too. Did that a lot with my argonian.
You can comb the area with the telekinesis spell, which highlights items in the floor from a distance. That's what I do at least.

The fishing and the seducers things are new, the female Argonian with the Dwemer artifact isn't.
One of the Black Book awards increases levelling up from skill books, so it’s best to read the books with the effect active.

Instead of shouting at draugr, just use any damage on them, the doors arent actually real so you can swing or shoot right through them to wake up the draugr inside. Fus ro dah has too long of a cooldown to waste on waking up an undead boi
Most fun build in the game is archer (but no using stealth) with the ultimate dodge mod it becomes so fun dodging there melee then shooting them in the head 🥳

the netch jelly trick is bad...use the become ethereal shout before jumping off heights to easily be immune to fall damage
To avoid fall damage I prefer to just shout Become Ethereal and then jump.
Thanks to Anniversary Edition you can also use Corkbulb to paralyze yourself

It only works on salmon if they are swimming with other fish or if they are jumping at waterfalls, but if you shout at them you get salmon roe. They make massively OP water breathing potions that sell for loads more than regular ones.
You don't exactly have to "shout" at them to get the roe. Shouting just makes it easier to catch them.
You get roe regardless, as long as it's jumping salmon.
Become ethereal also helps with fall damage

Why does no one know of the free horse you can get at Riften 😩 if you ask the owner of the horse stable for a brawl and win, not only do you get 100 gold but can also ride away with the horse he is selling and it's not marked as stolen! Granted the horse doesn't see you as its owner and when you dismount it'll start walking back to the riften but it's the fastest way I know how to get a horse early early in the game :)

9:20 this is why I play with mods, so I *CAN* build something between the Serana and the Dragonborn.
She should've been a marriage candidate the entire time, don't know why Bethesda didn't implement it.
They did record married/marriage voice lines for Serana, so it did seem to be planned at some point, just don't know why they cut that particular piece of content.
But hey, mods can fix what Bethesda left out.
Because of her trauma I can't imagine Serana want ting to be in a relationship.
While sad it's understandable why she wasn't marriageable
