There is just something about having a job where your office is the road, not some physical desk, and that job you can sleep in the cab. I know all jobs have the positive and negatives, but I'd say more positives in your job than negatives, lol.
I used to love driving all over the country , I always tried to get to my 1st drop for 7am , I live in Oldham and sometimes my 1st drop was Bodmin which meant setting off at 12.30 am , so 3.30 would be a lie in lol , I much prefer driving at night , much less traffic and holdups .

if you are using an iphone and your editor isnt on a mac, you might want to change the file format the phone saves in. go to settings > camera > formats and change to most compatible. this will change the files to JPEG for images and H.264 for videos and will make the editors life a lot easier

Reminds me of a young driver who asked me for a bit of work over his holidays so I gave him a day with Swains.
I caught up with him later, he'd backed in the loading bay and I was in the queue. I walked up to ask how he was doing and force of habit I noticed the anchor chain hanging.
"You've forgotten to clip your anchor chain on ", I said as I reached under to clip it on.
"Oh, that", he said, "I never bother with it normally ".
I said, "Well you should because it's classed as an insecured trailer and fixed penalty plus a producer if they catch you ".
What could I say ?

Why do people insist on parking on a double yellow line, directly opposite the only other car on the street? I know it's early, but that's just lazy and thoughtless.
Before I retired, I used to do mesh loads quite often and I'm fully convinced that stuff is made to attack you!

Have you ever drove in burton on Trent, also in a new subscriber. My job when I’m older is to be a lorry driver. Man in a truck with a camera is my dream ahah.
Im a coach driver & those empty coach bays get filled up every night with hgv's, ive struggeld a few times in a morning trying to get my coach out as they park on the back wall too. Next time your overnight there you should nip into weatherspoons for your tea and a quick pint.

Hi Luke another good video with the dreaded hold up on the M6 , am I rate in thinking you prefer to be home @ night than having nights out ! I am a tramper my self doing uk & Europe & can be gone 4 weeks when we are busy & I have always been a tramper so I am the opposite I don’t like being at home to much or I get restless , strange I know but r0 yr in and to old to change but young enough to keep learning new ways and ideas every day , stay safe and keep the great videos coming .
your straps have bin don on the rung side of the trailer they shed be don on the n/s not the o/s so if come open you will not get hit bye a car van or a truck but good blog Gary from Crewe

I enjoy watching your channel, do i miss driving trucks,? To be honest no, early mornings, no sleep no i don't miss the stress one bit. I have to renew my license shortly dont think i will renew my HGV dont think i would pass the medical, to many medical issues, its a young mans game or women's. Stay cool and calm.

Why it's always advisable to check your lorry, especially if someone else been using it. Looking at the traffic jam. As it starts moving, it reminds me of moving onto a ferry😂. Love the video. Everything's hunky dory😂

TBH, that left turn, if it was here in the US, you'd be waiting. It's really rare anyone stops to allow for trucks. In fact, most times it's the complete opposite. If you came across onto the opposite lane, someone would be trying to cut under you.

Good! Dvrs defence though, the DoT never educated older dvrs what a X across the lane meant? Is it advisory, ie, hazard ahead? There should be national adverts on TV, but I'm kidding myself, here I am watching YT!

People need to open there eyes and use there mirrors nothing to do with no hard shoulder. Too many people using that excuse. Poor lane discipline is the problem with our roads and the traffic problems
The beauty of starting really early is the roads are mostly empty,I used to start at 4 30 am and loved it

How’s it going Luke? You still based in Swindon area? I remember you passing your lgv same time me passing my pcv. As a coach driver I can definitely say not only is the M6 the longest motorway in Britain but it’s the worst for lorries especially between j4-j10, didn’t you use the toll road? You probably would’ve made the drop by going that way!
What's happened to you truckers? We have very little content because you don't want to film wat you are delivering and some companies don't allow filming full-stop. e.g. Trucker Jenko. More than happy with road format.😂 Let's have a discussion at Devon Truckfest. See you then.
Yeah, just got to be careful because some companies will ban you from re-entering their premises. Not just necessarily the person films for the entire company that they work for. So yes got to be careful

a head light bulb cost me a windscreen ,i jacked the cab up to put a bulb in a case off beer on bed went through screen .

never understand why people park directly opposite another vehicle on an otherwise clear road. Happens a lot.

24:50 It's almost like car drivers have an aversion to being closer to the inside than the outside of the motorway. How on Earth could they miss that big gap to the left, flashing blue lights to the rear and think "I'm not in his lane so not my problem to move or make space".

smart motorways! they are not smart,not safe and a stupid idea in the first place ...sadly people have been killed due to no hard shoulder. As mentioned no empty lane for emergency vehicles! they need scrapping and hard shoulder reinstated ASAP
What do the symbols on your hoodie mean?
I think they are tachograph symbols for the different tacho modes ie break, driving and other work

Hey luke, random question, the iveco you drive does it have a really spongy brake pedal? As the few at my work (class 2) the ivecos are terrible for having a very bad brake pedal with it having to be on the floor nearly to actually slow the truck.
Yes. All ivecos are “spongy” it’s a common trait. You get used to it very quickly.

It’s Haulage all over, want you there early then you sit. Been asked to be 4hrs away for 6am and then sat for 4hrs as they “weren’t expecting you till 2pm and the warehouse is full”.

Can’t understand people who park like those cars parked at just after 9 minutes. Why not pull up behind the blue car, or at least a bit further along so you aren’t opposite it.

He left because he wanted to be home more and at his current job he can’t vlog 👍🏻
