Being in my mid 30's, watching all of these NASCAR mainstays come and go has been tough. There are a lot of talented drivers coming through the pipeline, but the early 2000's were an interesting, fun, and crazy time for the sport. I'm just happy I got to experience it all.

It is so sad when these drivers retire! There aren’t that many coming up like them! The ones coming up now are not very exciting! Still have Elliott, Blaney, Byron, Larson, Bowman and a few more, but it will never be like it once was!!!

Phoenix is a track he grew up racing at. It's also a track where he is the all time greatest. It's literally the perfect track for him to retire at.
