- Today I show you how to install/upgrade your halogen stock light bulb to Sealight Scoparc S1 headlight LED bulb. Its a simple and cheap upgrade for your 2021 Honda Civic Hatchback. My Civic is an EX trim and took less than 10 mins to install both headlights.
The new LED bulbs has a very close color match with the running day lights, which I was trying to accomplish. Very satisfied so far :)

Got them for my Civic 2015. I expected them to be brigher, but they are OK. I think I have to adjust the bulb in the housing as the beam pattern is not as sharp and defined as with the Halogen bulb, even though the LED light got locked in the socket correctly...

@@dathanpiritu9339 Yea, Amazon hasn't updated the 2021 model info is my guess. But it fits. If you use 2020, it shows it fits.

Update: I had a few people ask about the fitment not showing up on Amazon for 2021 Civic Hatch. My guess is, they have not updated yet for our model year. If you use 2020, it says it fits. Also, you can see from my video, it does fit and is the right size for my 2021 Civic Hatch EX. Hope this answers future questions.

I have some LED’s and I lined up the 3 slots and the LED light was facing 3 and 9 and it wouldn’t go into my 18 civic housing.
before was still pretty bright. the older civics i cant see crap

They told me I would have to up on the headlights if I wanted to change the bulbs because it might of burnt the headlights is this true?
Really like the bulbs, just not certain due to no real comments on longevity of them.

Thank you for the video, it helped me to decide to buy the same S1 ligths. I have an Accord and the projector style headlight is very similar. I hope to install them soon.
@@pablo5511 Hi again! Still good so far. Light out put is the same on both headlights and foglights, no dimming. Also one of my fog light lens has broken off and the led bulbs has endured the elements well. I'll have an update video on them one of these days.

my ac compressor went in my car whole system needed to replaced not under warranty but honda sent me a letter saying that they would be repairing it at any cost and it also said any person who believes their air compressor has the be the compressor will have it fixed no charge my car was at 41,000 when it went
Honda has an extended warranty released for the compressor leaking on the A/C. I know because I just had to have my compressor replaced on a 2020 hatchback with 15k miles (I know, I don't drive much, went full work from home shortly after buying the car for a previous hour commute)
Mine has broke 4 times in 7 years lmao...I can't reccomend this car to anyone for that one reason. Other than that its been great.

Hi Spending Jar, some people say the Sealight Scoparc s1 h11 bulbs are not bright enough/not much better than the stock halogen bulbs on the roads. What's your experience with them so far?
Hi John, I'd say its little brighter than halogen, at least in my eyes. I also run fogs on all the time and that really helps with visibility. Its acceptable in my eyes, it may differ from person to person due to color temp also. Hope this helps.
Just get the X2 or X4. I put the S1 in my 2017 Civic Ex, and they're average. I want brighter. I've ordered the X2s, and I'll put them in this weekend.
Are the led lights the same for the high beams too or no. I got the low beams installed today an didnt know if i am supposed to buy the same for the high beam or not or which ones i should buy from sealight for those ones
Hi, I believe the high and low beams are different size. Low beam H11 and I think the highs are HB3 bulb. I haven't upgraded my high beams so I don't have a recommendation since I haven't tested any yet. Hopefully this helps 👍

Hey man I installed the Sealight LED Bulbs, but after 6 months of having them my Auto Low Beams are not working anymore! I got my car checked in the shop and they said it was these aftermarket bulbs that caused it... Kind of disappointed since they were working fine a couple of months ago.
That sucks to hear. I've seen bulbs last from months to years, its too bad yours didn't last longer. I just found one of my fog lense cracked on the passenger side. 🤦♂️ The fog lights work but the glass is broken. Stuff like this happens some times. Hopefully your next lights will last 🤞
did you change out your high beam lights as well?
Hi and thanks for checking out my video. I did not change out my high beams. I'd figure its not something I use much. So far I got my low beams, fogs and side markers changed out (videos on all).
On of the concerns I had with deciding on HIDs or LEDs Is the beam. Did the beam stay at the same height? I like HIDs and the fact that they are brighter, but they need a huge ballast and extra wiring to protect from the higher amperage those need. And I also have read that they don't recommend LEDs on Projector lights because the beam might be all over the place.
Hi and thanks for checking out my video. The height and beam spread seems identical to halogen light bulb. I've driven next to other civic hatchback and my LED light looks similar if not the same as their light pattern at night.
So far after a little over a month of use, I have no issues so far. Hopefully they have good longevity too. I carry the halogen as spares in the trunk for those "just in case" moments.

@@000- Hi, I believe the S is the Scoparc series and the X is the Xenower series. The X is also brighter than the S from what I can recall. You can probably double check on Amazon for more info. Hope this helps and thanks for checking out my video 👍
@@000- on paper they are brighter but your eyes can’t tell the difference. Go with the cheaper ones and save some money.

Do these bulbs give of a blueish color or just white I don't really like the blue in some headlights
Hi and thanks for checking out my video. To my eyes, the color is very similar to the day light running lights. So more white than blue but still a hint of blue. I hope this helps 👍

Hi! Although my specific model is no longer available, Sealight still makes headlights for our car (different model). I have no issues so far with the company.
I've seen other companies such as Lastfit get good review, altho they're a little more expensive I think.

@@Humbletrader08 Hi, unfortunately it looks like Sealight does not carry the exact same model on Amazon. If you buy the right bulb size, low beams are H11, the installation is the same.
You can search on Amazon for H11 bulbs. I believe Sealight may have other H11 models. I have not tested them. But so far I have no issues with mine.
What size does our 2021 ex have headlight have? Sorry im dumb on car. I just wanna change my headlight coz the stock light is a pos 🤣

Hey so I have a 2020 hatchback sport, I just put the low and high beam leds, but when I was done for some reason now when I lock and unlock my car the low beams don’t come on. They use to come on when I had the stock lights. Do you have an idea why that is ?
Hmmm good question, I need to go check out my Civic and see if it does that. I'm not sure if my lights even came on with the stock lights before.

Playboi Eddy I checked and my signal lights are the only ones that come on. I even set my lights to Auto but that didn't work either. Again, I'm not sure if the low beams came on when locking/unlocking before changing them to LED's.

I believe so, its the same generation. You can double-check and make sure it's the same size bulb.
Are LED lights legal in California? I remember swapping out of headlight unit on my 2004 Honda Accord and got a 2 tickets. One for my illegal headlights and blasting my Katy Perry.
I'm not a law expert but they have stock LED that come with many cars. Its probably the color of the light that might make it illegal? Guess the cop had no love for Katy Perry 😆

Hi and thanks for checking out my video. I got an automatic since this is my daily driver with long drives to and from work. I wanted the comfort of the auto. But if you want to feel more engaged with the car and enjoy driving manuals, I'd say you can't go wrong with them either.
Even if I had gotten a manual, my wife can't drive it so it was out of the question from the beginning lol.

Hi, its not an exact match but very similar in color in my eyes. No problems so far using it and no interference with my external devices - phone, gps etc.

No, different bulbs. I believe the highs are 9005/HB3? Can't remember 100% I would double check but the lows and highs are different. Thanks for checking out the video 👍
Low is H11, high is 9005, fogs are H8
So I opened my lights and they said 9005. But your box is H11. Does the H11 bulbs work for 9005?
Hi for the gen 10 Civic's, I think 9005 are the high beam bulbs. I don't think the tabs are the same at the bottom so it'll probably won't fit for the low beams.
I haven't upgraded my high beams so I can't say for sure if 9005 will fit for your low beams. But yea, they sent you the wrong size, should be H11 for the low beams.

@@zacatecas80513 I had the same message. My guess is, the product info on Amazon isn't updated for 2021 models yet. But the size is correct and fits as you saw on my video for my 2021 Civic Hatch EX. If you change the model year to 2020, it says it fits. 2020 and 2021 is the same.

Hi, best opinion I can give: you can ask your dealership. To me its a replacement part. Like changing tires or getting an oil change at a non-dealership. Since you didn't get them done at an official dealership, would that automatically void the entire car's warranty? I would think probably not.
The lightbulb has to be proven to have affected the cause of the failure of the area that needs warranty work... that would be my best guess. Again, if you don't feel comfortable, I would call the dealership and find out. Hope this help and thanks for checking out the video 👍

Hi! Yea it should fit 10th gen civic. On Amazon, it says it doesn't fit 2021 Civic but that's probably because its not been updated for the new year. But it fit on my 2021 Civic Hatch.

Hi, I'm guessing it should be fine but you can always double check with the dealership just in case. It's easily reversible if you want to change the bulb back out to stock halogens.

I have the 2021 Sport trim- could I still use these? When on Amazon it’s telling me the item won’t fit/work with my vehicle.
Hi Marvin, I had the same "it won't fit" prompt, I think its because its not updated for our 2021 models yet. Sport and EX has the same halogen so it should work for you as well.
