Honda dealership 6/25/2020 wanted to charge me $128.00 to install the fog lightbulb in my 2016 Civic stating the front bumper had to be removed. Thanks for saving me money.
Man, you have great quality to your videos. All the angles and takes you did to show all those details are great. I have an 8th gen Civic but still enjoyed watching this video. Keep up the great work!
Thank you! This video is perfect. I changed mine in about 30 minutes in my garage thanks to your closeups showing the wiring clip and the bulb rotation.
Such a perfect video ! I’ve seen one where they suggest to remove the fake vents and another one that suggest to remove the entire bumper and I’m just like.. this can’t be the only way lol
Thank you for an excellent video; especially the interior camera shot with explanation part! No jack required. I was able to switch the bulbs out and then twist them secure without ever seeing inside.
Thanks so much for the video. Before watching it I was prepared to remove the entire panel underneath and way too many bolts. I was able to change out both sides in less than 25 minutes after your video.
@@SpencerTwiddy I can't remember exactly what I did to replace but I know I didn't have to remove the fender. Sorry for the lack of detail (3 years ago).

Great video man!!! Good angles, clear explanation and great tips. I'm about to do this and thought fender well was the way as it was in so many other cars I've done this with, so you just saved me valuable time! Much appreciated!
Very helpful video with clear instructions which gave me the confidence to change the fog lights on my 2019 Civic Hatchback easily thanks to this video. 👍
Thank you for the video!! Thanks to you I was able to install my H8's. Although we didn't have the same plastic, i still was able to know what i was getting into and I did it!!!
Great video, I followed your instructions, and it took me about 10 mi. It was harder to get under cause the car was so low, and me being lazy didn't wanna lift the car. I used the sidewalk to lift the car just enough to get under, but after ut was all cake,
Thanks for this vid! saved me a lot of money. the dealership wanted $131 per light, if they would've charged a bit less i might have paid but $260! no thanks. I'm not sure how long the first one took but i timed the second installation and it took me a little bit more then 11 minutes. One thing i was not sure, was if the polarity mattered but i matched the negative with the black cable. I also on the first one tried to remove the bulb without disconnecting it first and it didn't work (my mistake for not following instructions). 2018 Civic EX Hatchback. i bought the two pack of sealight H11 $63
Thanks for the great video. Makes it look ready easy. I ordered my replacements and just tried it, but the car is so close to the ground I will need to have the car elevated to do it. The clearance on your car seems better than mine.
So to make sure, on the driver’s side, u don’t have to go from the bottom like u explained in the video? U can go from the side panel near the side markers? But on the passenger’s side, u do have to go from the bottom? Also would it be easier to raise the car? Thanks and great video!
Question: can you turn on the fog lights by itself, meaning while the headlights are turned off or set in “Auto” mode? Mine seem to be only working when my night time headlights are on but before it wasn’t like that
would love to see a video for the passenger side because it is a royal PITA. Also - after I replaced my fogs with LEDs, I got a bunch of water in the housings. Is there a gasket that needed to be replaced? Seems odd that water would get in there.
It does. I do have switchback foglight led bulb that I'm going to try out next. Most likely eventually I'll swap the entire fog assembly to the morimoto xb led fog.
Did u raise your car when installing the bulbs? It looks easy from the video but it seems kinda tough to not be able to see what u are doing since u have very limited space to work with especially connecting the harness wiring to the plug on the bulb. Any suggestions?
@@DIYCarModz Oh ok...so it’s pretty easy to get a good feel on the wiring and twisting off the bulb? I know there’s a small opening so I’m sure it’s tough to see what you’re doing. Oh btw, I just realized your info is in Mira Mesa, are u here in SD?
Well I got in some sort of a problem with my South-east Asia spec Civic. It comes with LED foglight assembly as stock. Quite uncertain that it has a bulb slot. I want to change my white LEDs to yellow LEDs for the usual tropical rains. I tried doing this earlier but the whole assembly was completely different.
