Long-time Merchant Ivory films fan here - cannot wait to see this. So many films and scenes of astounding beauty, almost as if they were paintings. I don't think James Ivory gets his due as one of the top living film directors in the world. He should be in the same sentence as Coppola, Scorsese, David Lean or any of the big name film "auteurs" .
THAT scene where Leonard Bast traipses through the bluebells is so beguiling. I remember gasping when I first saw it. They were masters of creating atmosphere.
