The design is great - legitimately good and worth building - but then the video mixed with the sound and music makes this video a thing of beauty. Excellent work all around.
Wow Jay, I take my hat off for the creative wisdom God has given you. I am new into wood working myself and have found your videos at the right time. Not having the tools and space that you have, I use some power tools that I do have and do the best I can with what''s on hand. You are a real artist, and I am already learning from you even though I've seen only about four of your videos, I started last night when I found the patio furniture built with 2x4's. Thank you very much for sharing all of your knowledge, it is something that most people would try to sell on videos and you give it out for free, you will be compensated for that. Be safe and be blessed.
Great video on French Cleat system. Looks like the possibilities are endless. Keep 'em coming Jay. You are truly a talented woodworker. Really like your sketch-up pages also.
Excellent job. At first I wasn't too keen on the the dividers, I thought why not just cut a kerf and slide the blades in. Thanks for making me squelch those thoughts by showing how we can use the slots for band saw blades. Absolutely love the idea and this project. Keep them coming.
Just came across this video because I'm looking for a cool and easy build to store my blades. Very nice design! I just wanted to congratulate you on your video editing skill regarding the screws being driven in to match the tempo of the song. Brilliant! I wish more makers would spend the time to have a little fun with their dry and boring videos. Great work all around.
Yep, as others have said - you da man. I love the straight forward approach and particularly like the fact that it is something I can actually build and use.
I know this is old but I LOVE this video and the project itself...the curves took something useful and made it much more useful and basically turned it into a work of art.
First time I have seen your videos Jay, VERY VERY GOOD, I will share them with all of my woodworking mates over here in ENGLAND, Keep up the good work Jay.
Awesome! I need one of those. Digging the power tool music accompaniment. Do you find yourself using the drill and nailer differently when you are planning to put it to music? I find it interesting how recording video of a project changes the way I do things sometimes.
Jay, great video but I think I learned the most about how to lay the parts out. Great idea to tape the boards together and then cut the curve. On a small side note good job on the music.
Hey Jay, I'm a new subscriber & I think your videos are great 👍 Your editing is spot on, we get to see just enough of the building process without the videos being tediously long. Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Looks great. Been looking for ideas to store a lot of my blades, specifically band saw and circular saw, for the shop. Also like the finishing storage as well. Great work.
Dude.. awesome video's man.. thanks for taking the time to put stuff like this out there... You keep us all moving forward. And pretty good video editing too. Like it.
Now you're just playing with your editing to go with the beat of the music lol. On a side note, that super duper handy dandy sawblade holder storage thingamajig design is neat! Good stuff Jay!
Much obliged thank you sir for liking the super duper hand dandy sawblade holder storage thinggy-ma-jig design for my super duper french cleat organization system on the wall in my shop :)
Thanks for sharing your work Jay. Easy to watch and replicate. Iagree with some other comments about a slight pitch on the saw blades.. I guess a removable dowel or cleat could be placed across the bottom or top to lock the bladea in. Great project
We have earthquakes fairly often (west coast of California) and I don't think the teeth themselves will prevent the blades from rolling out. Otherwise a great plan.
nice job , yes i too was going to say about the rolling out of the blade , small cleat in front of the blade would be a simple fix . i have mine in a drawer , not standing but side ways on a 30 deg angle facing the front , works great & no worries of getting hit or falling .
The blades do not roll. Even when I shake the cabinet they do not roll. The entire cabinet would have to lean forward for it to roll. It's attached to the wall at the top so this will never happen.
Dang, that's an elegant looking saw blade cupboard! Did you consider putting stops at the lip of each opening? I could also see a 1/2" dowel, cut at 20 or 30 degrees and maybe a quarter-inch long, glued to the side of the inserts, which the arbor holes could hang on--keeping the teeth elevated (not that I think that's a big deal, personally).
Hi Jay, nice blade storage and your shop looks great! I am in process of building mine in my basement. I am researching what to cover the studded walls with as I will also use some french cleated storage. Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks
No worries, just an idea, now there made might be even easier just to put a lip on the front at the bottom, just thinking of my own shed, keep up the good work
Maybe a safety piece that drops across the front. Everything is different in earthquake country. Things really move around once in awhile and that's lots of money in blades to have them all fall to the concrete floor.
More French cleat fun. Check out my French cleat saw blade storage option. Free plans here: jayscustomcreations.com/?p=4210
***** I was wondering the same thing too.
I'm wondering the exact same thing... do the blades ever roll out on their own?
Great design!
Thank you sir!

I really like that design Jay! Functional and cool to look at.
Thanks Brian. I appreciate it.
I like The way your mixing the music with the noise from all the tools your using. 👍keep up the good work
Great video on French Cleat system. Looks like the possibilities are endless. Keep 'em coming Jay. You are truly a talented woodworker. Really like your sketch-up pages also.
Thank you Dale. I appreciate it. I have a drill charging station coming up next.
Great video and great project!
Thank you Michael. I appreciate it.
Great job mate, loved the editing/timing of running the stews in.
Cheers from down under.

Loving the french cleat projects. Can't wait to for it to warm up so I can clean out my shop.
Awesome! I've got another planned for the next video :)

Your videos just get better and better. Great music this week!
Thanks Pat! I like any music you can tap your foot to or nod your head :)
Yep, as others have said - you da man. I love the straight forward approach and particularly like the fact that it is something I can actually build and use.
Awesome Jon. Thanks!
Great Job Jay! Love the design and the nice concave flow of the front.
Thanks Michael. It really changes the look!
Hey Jay we need another shop tour when you get the French cleat wall filled up. I'm joining in on saying how professional your videos are.
Ha! the shop is always changing!
Nice job Jay, always great when a project has multiple uses!
Jay, great job on the project and video as always!
Thanks Bobby. I appreciate it.
Great project. It's amazing how such a simple hanging system can create so many ideas. Thanks for making the plans available.
Great project Jay. The editing and final make up of this video are really well done and a pleasure to watch. Thanks Jay.
Derek
Very cool organizer Jay,
Do the shelves tilt back slightly to help keep the blades from rolling out?
Regards,
Bob
Jay you are the man! Your video's are helping me to step up my work and get my little 10x15 shop organized. keep up the Great work.
Awesome Aron! Small spaces benefit the most from being organized. Good luck!
very well edited video with sounds matching with the music, great job! Nice design too!
I don't know which I like more about these videos of late... the "woodworking' or the "music video" aspect =)
Ha! Thanks!!
I know this is old but I LOVE this video and the project itself...the curves took something useful and made it much more useful and basically turned it into a work of art.
Thank you!
Great project Jay, Love the video and the editing is top notch! Keep it up!
A very good idea. And you really clearly convey how you built it. Thanks! One is going in my shop!
Cool. Feel free to change up the design and customize it! I'd love to see what you come up with.
Another awesome project. Really enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your craftsmanship.
You're welcome and thank you Greg. I appreciate it.
Auch wenn ich leider sprachlich nicht alles verstehe, so sagen deine Videos alles, was man wissen muss.
Daumen hoch aus Deutschland !!
Freakin cool this week Jay! Like how you use the bottom half for bandsaw storage.
I still have empty slots though.....looks like I need to buy some new blades!
Jay Bates I need some more blades too before I can build one Jay. Maybe I could find some old dull ones somewhere to fill up the space. lol
I love how the action in your video matches the beat of the music.
First time I have seen your videos Jay, VERY VERY GOOD, I will share them with all of my woodworking mates over here in ENGLAND,
Keep up the good work Jay.
Great video and project idea! Looking forward to the next one already.
I love that you add to the beat, another great video Jay!

Great Job Jay.
Thank you Noel.
great project + excellent video editing. Thanks!
Really good design. I'm going to have to use this one.
Thanks David. I appreciate it. Let me know how it turns out.
Gotta like your modular Wall shelf thingy... If I had a shop myself, I would absolutely create one of those...
love how everything was so in line with the song !! ha ha
Thanks!
Jay Bates love your videos !!
I've noticed this in a couple of vids and it makes it so easy to watch many screws go in, which can be a slow part in other videos :)
You are a machine..lol nice one as usual Jay.
Steve
Thank you Steve. I appreciate as always.
Dude.. awesome video's man.. thanks for taking the time to put stuff like this out there... You keep us all moving forward. And pretty good video editing too. Like it.
Great video Jay.
Thank you Jim. I appreciate it.
wow nice craftmanship!
Hello,
I love your videos, this one is great too, nice music, nice video editing and good project !

NICE! Hope your still making nice stuff...
Awesome as usual
Thank you Jasper.
I have been looking for a saw blade storage solution this looks perfect
Great editing! Subscribed!
I’ve been looking for a good way to store all my blades. This box looks great. Going to build it. Let you know how it worked out.
Great post Jay!
Thanks for sharing your work Jay. Easy to watch and replicate. Iagree with some other comments about a slight pitch on the saw blades.. I guess a removable dowel or cleat could be placed across the bottom or top to lock the bladea in. Great project
Exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks.
very cool perfect design
Great edit!
Ha! Love how the drill sounds are in time with the music!
I like this design man
Great work....
Great video! I think I will be making one of these soon.
That was legit man, thanks for sharing!
Great work, and I suggest you to add a stopper if you can to prevent the blades from rolling out.
Thanks! The teeth on the blades prevent them from rolling.
We have earthquakes fairly often (west coast of California) and I don't think the teeth themselves will prevent the blades from rolling out. Otherwise a great plan.
Great video.
Very good job
Nice job.
Thank you Artur.

Great! Drilling, screwing and nailing with the rythm!
Thank you :)
Another great video.
Thanks!

In sync with the music...love it.
David Handley Thanks David. It takes a while but I like the results :)
You should put small magnets at the back of the slots for the bandsaw blades so they don't roll out
Hi Jay, nice blade storage and your shop looks great! I am in process of building mine in my basement. I am researching what to cover the studded walls with as I will also use some french cleated storage. Appreciate your thoughts.
Thanks
Well done.
I wish I had seen this before I made one last week. Thanks
Jay2525Jay Ooops!
Nice idea, if the bottom of the two shelves sloped back by 5 or 10 degrees it would stop the risk of the blades rolling out
Nothing rolls out. It would take a quite a tilt to make these blades roll out.
2:30 ahahah...good editing / mixing with the Video (drill) and music..
Careful Jay ... you're getting WAY too organized! Great idea, well executed.
Thanks Gerald. Shhh...don't tell my wife the shop is getting organized...
Jay Bates
Ummm ... I think your secret is already out.
