I don't tend to believe in leaks. I'll wait until they announce something, and personally, I don't believe two years is enough to fully develop an animal crossing game. They just finished the Splatoon 3 DLC this year, so I doubt we're getting another game any time soon.
People didn't believe there would be a third Splatoon game this early because the game stopped getting updates for a year or so(2019) then it's 2021 and boom Splatoon 3 announced for September of 2022. Anything could happen honestly, that ac leak looks really fake to me but I wouldn't scrap the thought of a new AC related game, it's been 4 years since new horizons released after all

Hopefully console exclusivity becomes a thing of the past, and even Nintendo budges on this. They could sell so much more copies of their games if they opened it up to more platforms. Cooking mechanics would be cool too as well as the use of AI for making villagers more alive and each have unique personalities, as well as having at least 16 different personality types rather than only 8

I kinda want them to keep the cozy, small rural village vibes. 10 or a bit more villagers but with the option to choose how many villagers you want (so if you wanted 5 you’d have five villagers) the option to customize areas like residential services and more customization options. I don’t like big cities and big cars personally those things just feel unnecessary especially for a game that’s meant to be cozy and just- animal crossing? Id also like them to bring back some of the older things from older games like new leaf and bring new mechanics that matches the animal crossing feel. But this is just my opinion and I can’t wait to see what the franchise does next no matter what!
Nash Weedle is a well known leaker when it comes to Nintendo stuff, and is usually considered a more trustworthy one. Also in regards to the series, AC has had an anime adaptation before, so its not too crazy of an idea

Nintendo’s biggest issue post new horizons is that it feels like a pre released game at full price (cough cough splatoon 3) I want the game to feel complete at launch, instead of a year of updates before it exceeds the next game. Even if that means the game is delayed, I think that you should get what you pay for at launch.
I agree. I didn't care too much for SP3 at launch. I think the additional two new weapons, like three new specials and barely improved graphics at the start, didn't warrant a new game. A lot of people said New Horizons felt rushed at launch, and what is funny is that the game got delayed and was supposed to be released in 2019. I'll say New Horizons had more going for it at launch than Splatoon 3 did at launch. I played both a bunch at launch. Nowadays, I play New Horizons every day and have been doing so since last May. I haven't touched SP3 in almost a year.
