Glad you re-reviewed it looks a lot better I think it does look great now will probs get this now I have been waiting for people to look back at this after all the slating it got. Your right though with all the bad reviews its a shame it won't be looked on as well as other routes.
Yeah,I'd say it's worth it now,it isn't perfect by a long shot,but it's a little more on the level I personally expect from DTG routes

fair play to dtg for actually fixing this route. runs much better on my system now.

Is it much harder to run than other routes on train simulator?
@@radish9261 frankly not even a nasa computer could run ts1 above 60fps consistently.
in all seriousness you should be able to get away with running it on mid to high end hardware at an acceptable framerate. ts1 itself runs on a ancient version of directx so it's never gonna be good at performance in general

Getting back into TS after a long absence. Preston is my local city so I had to get WCML Over Shap and having travelled to Scotland a few times had to get WCML North also :) Will be looking to get South and Trent Valley. I note that the Class 390 is included. Does it tilt (not entirely sure from watching the vid)? Does the AP sound enhancement work with this one now? Thanks!
Hi Mark... am easing a little closer to buying it after watching that... Do you think there will there be a 3rd revamp when that actually get everything fixed... like unsmoothed gradient changes !! ?

Cracking video mate. I hope you don't mind me asking but I noticed that your computer seems to run the route much more nicely than mine does and I was wondering if you are running the sim from an SSD? I've got a fairly decent rig (Ryzen 2700x, RTX 2070 Super and 32 GB DDR4) but the tile loading stutter and poor frames on this route make it almost unusable for me, despite most other routes running fantastically. The only explanation I can think of is that I still run the sim from a 7200RPM HDD.
Thanks! Yeah I run an SSD and it made a pretty decent difference,should probably put our specs on the vids tbh. The size of your TS install also plays a part too in terms of load stutter.
My system spec is:
i7 @3ghz
RTX 2060
931GB Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB (SATA (SSD))
^ I only use this for TS and games
16GB RAM (DDR4)
That update looks better than without the update. The framerates are always 14fps which is painful. But I would recommend to turn off the dynamic lights till I need to save up to buy new parts for my PC to keep the FPS up.

Cheers. Personally I'm happy paying £24.99 for it,for its length at over 100 miles it's pretty good,it's not perfect at all,especially without Northampton Loop,but I reckon 25 quid is a fair price for it now at least.

Not Sure if it's just me but I have installs the Armstrong Powerhouse class 390 sound pack and the alarms are much lower you can also turn of DSD off and on with with ctrl D.

Thanks to amd's comeback with ryzen you can now build a system capable of playing this sim at max settings with great frame rates without breaking the bank. Currently running a zen 2 cpu & having no performance issues with all settings at their highest.
So nice having a choice now with hardware when it comes to getting the performance you want from this sim, used to be you needed Intel, not anymore although if you're going with ryzen I would say get a zen 2 cpu as a minimum, zen 3 is a tad expensive as amd decided to up the price as they're currently the fastest at gaming. Kind of hope I ntel do edge out zen 3 in gaming with rocket lake, might make them drop the price & then I'd recommend building a zen 3 rig for this sim.
Would love to see a Train sim world 2 version of this played it on Train simulator was not that good as it looked

Does ts 64 bit crash less that 32 bit
Personally for ourselves 64bit is a lot better. Makes use ofnextra ram if you have it too where 32bit only allows for the lower end amount which i think is something under 8gb
@@TrainSim_TV thanks. How do I stop my game dumping when I try to drive a train, to drive a train I have to disconnect my pc from the WiFi.
