Debbie was honestly my fav, she is everything Hollywood has been trying to do with the 'strong woman' archetype done right. Literally the woman who saved the world.
See that’s what we need, I always acknowledged that Debbie was strong af for going through all of that. The fact that she’s a strong woman character never really crossed my mind. I think thats the right way to go
Exactly, its the same with writing any stereotype really. A black characters entire personality shouldnt be shaped around them being black, a gay characters personality shouldnt be shaped around being gay. Its about creating a compelling character first, and leaving what they look like/ identify with as just a part of the bigger picture. A lot of writers will come up with the idea for say a “strong woman,” and then build the character up from that basis, but thats just not how people work in real life

Angstrom wasn't the main villain of season 2, the main "villain" was always Mark himself. I think it's perfectly fine this season is slower and not as focused or hardcore as the first. For starters, it deals with a lot of the actual consequences and emotions left over from 1's finale - grief, sadness, and anger from Omni-man's betrayal and the truth coming out - the sense of humanity and belonging once Donald finds out the truth about himself - Amber and Mark realizing the truth about themselves. In fact, if you look deep, this season deals a LOT with people finding themselves and their own "truths"...It's the ever-growing realization that not only are most of them definitely NOT Invincible (hah, see what I did?), but also that the universe is becoming much larger and more complex, and a lot of people are finding some deep shit they just don't know how to live with even in a society of super powers. Imagine a major event like an evil Superman proving to your own eyes that you are a mere ant - no - a tiny microorganism in comparison to something like the Viltrum Empire. That your life is meaningless to them and you couldn't even begin to resist them if you wanted to. Even the current Guardians couldn't hope to fight a single adult Viltrumite. That would have you wondering a lot about your place in the universe.
The one thing I really would’ve liked to see (maybe we will in S3) is Mark encountering one of his alternate selves who followed Omni-Man. Would be nice to see exactly what makes our Mark so special. Was it getting his powers later? Were the other Debbies not good Moms? Who knows.

More like the brutality of invincible. Life keeps getting harder & worser for mark ever since he got his powers. Also show case being a hero is bullshit because nobody wants to talk about negative side of being hero
I think that Season 2 as a whole is challenging Invincible's integrity as well as the relation to his father. Season 2 tells us that Mark is holding back because he doesn't want to be like Nolan, and we get to see the few devastating moments where he doesn't hold back, such as the case with Angstrom. Season 2 certainly wants to tell a story just like Season 1 did, but it's more implicit, which might make it seem worse as a result.

I really liked the android storyline a lot. Lots of genuine mystery. I actually think I like season 2 better, but I can see why people may enjoy season 1 more. There are a few episodes that feel like filler, especially the one with the fish marriage, which is by far the weakest episode in the entire series. But I really liked the world building. They didn't beat us over the head with it, and we learn a lot more about the lore of the viltrumites, Allen's backstory, and the planetary council. They were decent but any one of the heroes who went to Mars could probably one shot the whole group. I think that whole sequence was meant to demonstrate the difference in power levels between the top heroes and the midcarders (so to speak) and just further show how ill equipped Earth is to deal with a Viltrumite invasion right now

Only thing I disagree with in this vid is that the animations were cooler se 1. The scene where Nolan destroys the flaxans is so well done. When he holds mark in front of the train my jaw fell off my face
Great video. This season wasn’t for me, just didn’t enjoy it. If you liked it then I’m happy for you. Hope to catch this show next time around in season 3.
Season two was an enormous disappointment feeling more soap opera than superhero show. It felt mind numbingly slow in most parts, and the parts where your interest lay like Allen getting on board the Viltrum ship to spring Nolan takes a back seat to storylines that were insultingly boring, e.g. Marks relationship woes and as one put it “too much pointless emo babble” from Mark and not enough momentum to keep your interest. And taking several month’s hiatus to concentrate on animation quality sure seems to not have paid off, which could mean that there may have been other problems with production that aren’t being mentioned that triggered the delay and perhaps the reasons for season 2 suffering so badly.
If amber isn’t the worst character in the show then who is? Yes shes less unbearable this season, but the character based story telling and the theme of dealing with trauma is so well done that the amber arc feels weak in comparison. We’ve seen this arc before in a lot of superhero shows, like spiderman. Where everything else in invincible feels new and different.

@@AnotherNickMovies it's more likely to be comic walking dead
We need less shows like this. Otherwise we'll just be glued to the TV all day long and never leave the house.
Season was incredible. People are hating just to hate.
The best animated show in the past few years along with Pantheon
why u keep changing the thumbnail😭
Angstrom is a red herring, the overarching villain is Mark not becoming his father.
I’m going to turn into a truck now. LMAO.
yoyoyoyoyo! yo! Donald is a fkn goat in this season! from goverment henchmen to fkn badasss!
Correctly yes, if all time… I’m sorry breaking bad still has that for me. But holly I love the show and the comics
all i gotta say is PEAK
I feel like the story of season 2 is mark trying not to be his dad
Ambers relationship still sucks turbo ass all they ever say is "i love you" , "shit i got to go" "ya thats alright
Im just like Invincible except the reason I miss college is cuz im lazy, I need to drive to pilot school to actually fly and I cheated on my ex like his comic book version
Only thing I disagree with in this vid is that the animations were cooler se 1. The scene where Nolan destroys the flaxans is so well done. When he holds mark in front of the train my jaw fell off my face
Brooooo collab??
I personally think the animation dropped s little. A lot of stills and lack of impact. But they basically admitted this is the comic con scene.
Great video. This season wasn’t for me, just didn’t enjoy it. If you liked it then I’m happy for you. Hope to catch this show next time around in season 3.
Oh you talking about how she made mark ha……
Best show both seasons
the best show on tv is definitely a stretch when things like the bear exist
You didn’t talk about the Immortal.
Wait until The boys season 4 comes out….
Make your bets when they actually gonna release the 3rd season.
No way 7:20
That was not the decision he made with eve you putz shit was only about amber, dating a non hero and bringing them into that world
Eve is already in that world, he just broke up tho, so he aint tryna rebound the day after ya know?
