Damn if I wasn't right, calling this 3 months ago on the "Fight Like a Girl" video. "I'm just imagining this Reprised in the heat of the Finale Battle in Book 1. Sokka singing this to himself while everyone else is singing some other Finale Number."
My three favorite things 1 - Sokka's singing "Fight Like a Girl" lyrics, showing his training with the Kyoshi warrior, despite being brief, is something he's learned from and that he's bringing with him 2 - Katara and Zuko singing "because I have worked so much harder" at the same time 3 - "But know the Fire Nation's damage cannot be undone"
You got Greg Baldwin, the semi-original Uncle Iroh to sing his character's parts?! That's so cool! Everyone did so well!!! Congrats on this success to everyone who worked on it!!! You all worked so hard and it paid off!
I have a theory that if the avatar cycled did not stop then Princess Yue would have been the avatar because she needed some spirit... The Avatar Spirit
When she was vocalizing and then the flute starting playing right after, I thought for a split second that that was Yue hitting a high note really well
Ahhhh multiple people noticed dang lol, I’ll delete the enthusiastic comment I just left thinking I was special for a split second 😂 good ear, took me multiple listens to catch bahaha
I love Yue’s voice, Iroh’s VA being in this song, Katara & Zuko singing together with their ideologies being parallel and Sokka’s Like A Girl reprise ! The lyrics can be a bit cramped with too many syllables in a few verses here and there, but nonetheless the song is chillingly amazing. You can feel and hear the intensity in every beat.
Man, I was already SHAKING at how phenomenal the composition was and how perfectly everyone fit their roles (screams in Greg Baldwin), and then 3:11 came and my jaw utterly *dropped*. My favorite detail has to be the Fight Like a Girl callback bit within Sokka and Yue's lines, SO damn smart. Just, chills for the whole thing. Total chills.
Literal tears just came to my eyes at the image of Yue floating above Sokka during 6:10-6:30. Imagine this on stage. Everything about this production, music, lyrics, lighting, direction - IT WILL BE PHENOMENAL! Thank you Katherine (and everyone who is a part of ATLM) you are bringing my dream to life :)
YO! I’ve had this idea when i first heard this song, If they used glow in the dark body paint and black lights on yue, it would be so cool to dim the lights turn and out her in a harness and have her float while glowing to symbolize her transformation into to moon spirit
The fact that you can hear Yue's voice prominently in the first Water Tribe chorus and then Aang's in the ending one is.... *chills* This was overall a beautiful song and you and your team did such a good job.
Oh my god!!!!! Sokka referencing Fight Like a girl, the references to Eye of the Storm near the end, Yue’s high notes, Iroh’s VA, and at 5:30 I can hear the main melody of Korra’s theme. Words cannot describe how hyped this has made me. Holy shit
When the fire nation soldiers say, “May his fire burn forever,” it sounds like in find you when Azula says, “Adding to your endless failures.” The piano that plays during that part it also kinda reminiscent of Azula’s Theme
Hahaha I was thinking the whole time "Damn this guy they got for Iroh really committed. He sounds exactly like the voice actor and then realised you literally got GREG BALDWIN?! amazing job, this is so cool. I can't wait to see what else you all produce.
from 3:10-3:30 I noticed immediately how Sokka is repeating the lyrics Suki sings to him in 'Fight Like A Girl' and my god is that powerful! I love how you show how much of an impact Suki makes on Sokka in his mindset and furthermore his fighting skills.
It's great how this illuminates different layers of the show like Katara and Zuko singing about how hard they've worked and that's one of the real factors that leads to their success as benders, and sometimes the actors will have a different inflection that makes certain lines hit in a unique way. I love the way Kristan Acruz delivers 'I'm tired'!
Soka singing what he learned from the kyoshi warriors while singing with his moon girlfriend (3:16) I like how the music picks up Everytime Yue sings, it just feels like she’s really important (which she is) THE IROH AND ZUKO MOMENT IM SO SOFTTT Ughhh the original avatar soundtrack mixed into it is just so good Katara and Zuko’s little duet that shows how similar they are even though they are from different nations INTO THE EYE OF THE STORM OMG (6:40) we didn’t get 1 BUT 2 WHOLESOME IROH AND ZUKO MOMENTS IN THIS SONG😭
Everything about this was amazing, all the harmonies in those background vocals, little details like the fight like a girl bit for Sokka, the high notes and incredible vocals by everyone, this song is absolutely incredible! Amazing job by everyone
When I first heard this, I thought “Damn, whoever is doing Iroh’s part has the voice nailed down perfectly”. Then I got even more confused when it got to Iroh’s speaking parts because they sounded like they were taken directly from the show. Then I realized it was Greg Baldwin doing the voice himself.
The first chorus when all the voices join in and it shows them standing on the wall, in anticipation of the oncoming battle and then there the line "But know the Fire Nation's damage cannot be undone" and it pans toward Sokka and Katara, which I think is a beautiful illustration about how even when peace is achieved some wounds will never fully heal, they lost their Mom to this horrid war and no victory will ever change that, but it doesn't mean they should stop trying. Then when both Katara and Zuko sing "Cause I have worked so much harder" in harmony and it's absolutely perfect, because as the last waterbender of her tribe Katara has struggled with her abilities ever since she discovered them, but when she finally found other waterbenders she was turned away because she was a girl, but she proved herself, her talent, and now she has a master. and then on the other hand there's Zuko, Zuko has always had to work harder than everybody else around him, he's determined to prove to his father that he is not a waste, a disgrace, he's been banished for three years at this point, and he can finally, finally, see the light at the end of the tunnel, he will not be denied his victory, his honor, his throne.
How are you going to put three seasons of the show in one musical? However, I like it so much. I was on the stream when you were working on the song and since that day I have been singing the Yue's part all the time. I can't wait to hear the full version!
They could do a cursed child like thing and do each act separately and the audience can by tickets to each act (idk if it’s separate tickets or some sort of one and you can choose what shows to go to tho)
I love how it mixes in lots of necessary dialogue and sneaky references like Zuko saying that nothing comes as easily when your lucky to be born like he said to Aang whe he was in the spirit world in that episode.I also love how accurate the dialogue is its almost identical to the actual thing but illustrated in elegant, colourful literature its just so good!
I love how the trumpets play “marching onwards” during the battle between Zuko and Katara. It provides the feeling of the Fire nation being a threat while the water tribe chorus plays over it.
Honestly if this came out as a full musical to hit all the points it wants to I believe it should be fully animated. It would be so beautiful and an amazing tribute to the original series to have the full musical animated.

everyone in this production has done so well!
Can we all agree Katherine is basically a genius??? Like???? I’m absolutely blown away by everything I hear from her?!?! Like for real?!?!
Oh my God, you got like...a whole cast now! And Iroh's VA! This whole thing was epic. So many jaw dropping performances all in one 7-ish minute video. Special shout out to Yue, Zuko, and Aang. They really killed it (in a good way....obviously)
I've watched and listened to this countless of times and I still cant stop giggling with Zhao's "what is this treachery?"
Oh my goodness!!! The way you do the overlapping verses, and the way Sokka echos Fight Like a Girl... ahhhhhh... so satisfying! Brilliant work!!!
yes. yes. yes. YES. YES! YES!! YES!!! **inhale** YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still can't believe I first watched this video in the middle of my zoom class
I will never experience such nostalgia ever again 🥲
