I was able to plug into a Sovtek Mig 60, about 10 yrs ago. I didnt expect to like it. It was AWESOME! It sounded incredible, i wish i could have bought it. I'm really curious how people are feeling about the new EHX migs... I'm glad they are making them.
Got that lpb1 pushing it all right from the get go... awesome..I love that boost it's a frequent visitor to my board..I use it at the end alot as a volume thickener
I had one pre-ordered last year. I've gotten to mess around with it for a couple of weeks. By itself, it's a fantastic clean amp, or an excellent option for something with a crisp bite on its dirt channel. It takes beautifully to pedals, and that is especially true for dirt pedals, as Josh says in the video. I still love my other amps, but the MIG-50 may have become my favorite.
I still have my Sovtek Mig 100h. I bought it new back in 1992, from Musician's Friend for $369 (if I remember correctly). Still one of my favorite tube amps and I own a bunch (16 and counting)
Great jam I think I like that amp to I have a tube 15 stage right I like it I have just gotten a Rebel 20 egnater I like that to. Always love the bassman and amps that followed its engineering
Way many moons ago i bought a Mig 50 when they first came out and with my 4x12 Celestion V30 filled cab plugged my original Boss Metal Zone pedal into it and my Carvin Gibby Classic 57 equipt axe and was totally blown away, sounded like a totally hot rodded Marshall Plexi on steroids! The most brutal Marshall tone I have ever gotten out of any amp ever, and still my fav! So I bought a new one and it's even better cuz it can use KT66 pwr tubes and a few other improvs!
I was looking at this amp lately as my JVM 210 isn't my thing at all.... though. no effects loops.. is this a deal breaker or a naw.. just go and enjoy your pedals in front of it?

My first real amp was a MIG-50 that I got at Mass Street Music in Lawrence KS, for $400 including the vertical 2x12. I was 14 years old.
Love Mass street music! Was just there yesterday to look at a 60’s baseman.

This thing has a real early compressed Marshal/Hendrix vibe.
It’s a Fender Bassman/ Marshall Plexi architecture. Those were the amps available in that era. Fenders not available in UK, so Marshall did the Plexi.

How about with a bass guitar? Would this amp break up in an unpleasant way and would the speakers be able to handle it?
