*WHAT*A*GREAT*COMBO!!! Just trying to decide if I can trust Aliexpress or wait until it hits Amazon for $50. But mark my words, many of us have looked for the lightweight pliers/wrench/hexdriver/blade combo. This kind of design creativity will be very disruptive to sleeping giants who are way too content with past success.
Man, I got the W1 and cannot wait for the W2. This thing is so thin it disappears in the 5th pocket. It would pair great with a Vic Ranger or Roxon KS2 Elite for EDC. Put the bits, adapters and ratchets in an Altoids tin or chums wallet. BTW, the W1 flat head fits the Leatherman bit adapter.
Ummm, holy shit this actually looks awesome
I agree! Now if they can only make a version of the mini sailor with a larger frame and this plier head.
Max, just to let you know Leatherman P2 and P4 hasn't been discontinued according to Leatherman directly. They are now focusing on the Arc and selling these largely on Amazon. No longer will these have the 40 year warranty if you are part of the Leatherman Rewards program.
@@hvacbudget8600I'd be sold for something like that lol.
It is one of the cooler multi tools that you have reviewed recently. Good toolset and small and decent ergonomics at first glance.
@maxlvledc @hvacbudget8600 Just ordered mine. This new W2 combined with Roxon KS2 Elite covers a TON of ground with very little overlap. For $75 or so, better than a Ranger (no wrench, no pliers, no bit kit) or a Rebar (no scissors, no wrench, bit kit extra) in that price range.
This version is "diagrams on a drawing board". We both (you & us) and maxlvledc can see what will be in the On-Line catalogue very soon. Whenever Nextool upgrade their metalurgy, all hell will break loose. This will make the big boys very nervous. Cheers from Australia.
True!
Great combination. They have that larger one (usually in black finish) that combines pliers and wrench but this is a sweet EDC size.
Christmas came early for Mr. Kincaid. God bless you sir.
Thanks!!
If the knife is changed to scissors, it would be a great airplane tool
It would!
That price though...should have been sub $30
True.
Many wrench pliers combos have been not very good in the past I'm really interested with this one.
I wish they do a better tool but the design is on the right side of things.
The tool set is one of the bests here.
A competent wrench, nice pliers, bit driver, file and knife.
A great work multitool.
I agree!
Agree here. I tested the other ones. It can't grip on anything to save it's life. Sorta like me.
@@hvacbudget8600 This is is the main reason I'm advocating for pro oriented multitools.
This doesn't mean the others have to cease to exist however the thing is most people in the HVAC or any job would like to get a smaller toolbox. And so far multitools are the solution for this.
And there is gaps to be filled.
These gaps are in my opinion, safe work with electricity, plumbing, proper wood working, etc ...
If major brands thinks about the pros and hobbyists rather than just survival, camping and the military that should be the best.
Because actually the market is quite saturated with those however the pro stuff isn't. Also the one which is quite there is the gardening but it's not saturated like the camping stuff...
I really love this channel
Cheers from Portland
Thanks for watching!!
Looks very cool! Thank you for sharing! 😎👍🏻
Thank you another great find and review. They are doing some interesting things!
Thanks for watching!
Great review as always!
Thanks!
They should have just had a regular 1/4" driver vs. that loose adapter thing.
Do you think there's a thin enough 1/4" bit driver somewhere that could replace that locking phillips potentially? The wave+ bit driver is pretty thin but not sure how deep
The only nice thing about it is the adjustable wrench. Everything else is sub par.
Mine arrived today. Your experience may vary but my adapter sits really ok on it. Not that loose as i thought it would be it's better than in the video.
I would have done strippers instead of pliers and a dedicated full size 1/4 inch driver. This would make it perfect for working on condensers and electrical wiring.
Great idea!
A great tool for the glove box
Indeed!
looks like a good tool
I like the look
What I don't like is how the top most bit "peeks" out of the holster, it looks like it could fall out of the side of the closed holster.
Why don't they just make the new sailor medium with beefier pliers from this tool. I don't really need a wrench.
That would be great!
It's cOoL 🔥🤙 Like 🔥👍
WoW 😮
It sounds great, the features are good, but THIRTY FOUR DOLLARS U.S. ???
They must be CRAZY !! LoL
I just want to see a longer mini sailor with pliers about that size. wrench or spanner as we say, has no place on a pocket tool imo
Do you think the scissors from one of the other smaller nextools, could be swapped with the knife or file?
Not sure about that. Might work.
how is that adjustable wrench though on it? Because it wasn't good on the other variants. I returned a few of those because the wrench wasn't up to par.
I will test this out for a month or two and do a follow-up video.
@@hvacbudget8600 Excellente! If that thing is good then it's worth it for sure. If not, then it's like a tool where one section of it isn't as good :P
No replaceable cutter?
Not on this one.
Whats your impression of the file? KR
Just an average small file. Not a full frame caliber file.
Have you tried out the W2? What are your thoughts?
I like it. I have mostly just used the wrench. The wrench works better on larger bolts than smaller like 5/16ths bolts but it still works. A small 4" wrench still seems to be more precise than this tool but it works. Everything else works OK so far.
Are these 1/4" bits or 4mm?
1/4"
I've seen them and thought it looks pretty cool but it's a little bit too expensive atm
True.
The video for this multitool on their yt channel shows them using the file as a flathead tho hahah
Wow!
It doesn't have a bottle opener, it's a tool, not a toy. ;)
Any implement is a bottle opener.
thank god, half of the stuff in my pockets have a bottle opener and I don't even drink
@@lol10801lolI don’t either but I still carry it.
Junk steel tho
