- This is the first look of the BRAND NEW T300 by Sovol / Comgrow! An impressive, HUGE, helmet class 3D printer! This thing is a monster! Notice there is a part of the gantry missing? This is likely one of the most beautiful printers I have looked at, just epic, and I want more of them!

Im so glad you identified the board...that is a great off the shelf part. I love the openness of the firmware.
Love your reviews, iam not a native English speaker but you speak so good that I understand all. Thanks for the work and I like your filament back on the wall. Greetings from Germany
Thank you so much! 💜💜💜
Trying to finally upgrade my old ender 3. So if you had to purchase today would you go Neptune 4 plus, sv07+, or this printer? Perhaps something else in the 300-500 range with 300mm space. Essentially which would give the least headache
Neptune 4 is such a great machine! This beast is on another level, tough decision!!! Come by the live show, get my attention and ask, let me know you are from YT and we’ll chat about it!!!
Only thing missing is something for auto z offset, I really like the bracing on the Z, not sold on it missing the handle... err, crossbar. ;)
It’s rigid as heck!
I see your installation of Doom, and I raise you (audience) programming the sound output, to the stepper motors for the MIDI music.
Haha!
Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching!
I need to hit the mega millions tomorrow to get 1 of all these new incredible machines 😂
I know what you mean!
@@LoyalMoses Keep up doing what you do along with Mrs LM and family. Excellent content and delivery.
What's "peak" about the cable bundle dangling loosely off the side of the machine. They put a drag chain on the x, why couldn't they on the y & z?
Why is there always something not completely thought through? 🤦♂️
Any reviews on the T500? I'm really interested in buying that machine, but cant seem to find a reliable review on it.
Review video soon!
Note- i do not have much expertise in 3d printing - so please forgive any mistakes - I have seen some klipper printers with huge fans to cool off the prints because the printer is laying down material so quickly. This printer does not seem to have that large fan and that does not seem to be an issue with this printer or is the built-in fans doing the job?
Most likely it has decently powerful part cooling fans in the toolhead.
It really is engineering decisions on how to cool effectively. Some are using very focused air for cooling, others are using curtains of air.
always love the content. Have you done neptune 4 plus or any neptune printers?
Thank you!!! I have two Neptunes here. Content coming!
@@LoyalMoses cant wait. im really wanting to pull the trigger on a first machine. So many options its very much overwhelming.
Nice video, you dont happen to have a link to the mario box print by any chance? Its awesome.
Sorry! I’ve added them to the description now!
Nice review as usual, but what bothers me is that the print speed of 300mm/s was mentioned several times without letting us know what is the max volumetric capacity of the hot end. So with what layer height and width that speed can be achieved and maintained?
I did not have the answer to that!
@oses That’s understandable especially having in mind it is filament specific. Probably the best way is to measure it for a few of the commonly used filaments. Otherwise the advertised print speed remains a marketing trick 😁
0.25 layer height and 300mm/s with a 0.4 nozzle is exactly 30mm3/s flow rate (there's flow rate calculators online). I also doubled checked by going on the website and they claim exactly that. And by his claims of lowering the temp without underexcretion those claims are probably on the safe side, but i wouldn't expect good results near 40mm3/s unless you use "high speed" filament
Because it’s a script. Stay away from these “reviewers”
Great video as always! Love the prints! It has a 150w Meanwell PSU? I highly doubt it, that is a lot of machine for only a 150w PSU. Think it has a 350w Meanwell?
They’re most likely going with a AC bed, running full power from the wall directly to it. They can get by with a smaller, cheaper PSU that way… which is what bambu did on the A1 and know how well that worked out. Let’s hope that bed cable is well thought out.
It’s 150
I'm in the market for a new printer. Was considering the Ender 3 v3 core xz. But the small 220 mm threw me off, as well as the 600mm/s that seems like a overstated claim. This might be a good contender. Prints look really well.
I’ll have content for that machine very soon!
Hi, i would like to ask about your filaments being unattended in an air tight enclosure. Is it okay to let it be like that? I left my filaments in an opened bag with dehumidifier then i turned air-cond and sleep for a night now i scared about the quality of them filaments. Is it absorbs enough moisture to make it bad already ?
PLA shouldn't absorb moisture that fast, but other more technical filaments like nylon and polycarbonate can.
Hey could you let me know the full working dimensions? (when bed is slung fully 1 way and the other.) as i see they have it listed as this on the official site:
631mm (25 inches) X 503mm (20 inches) X 831mm (33 inches)
i'm assuming the 33 inches is the height. not sure on the other two. would appreciate insight on that too.
but not sure on that bed slinging extending the depth.
thanks!
Oh, I will have to check!
Geez, that thing looks solid. It doesn't look like a crossbar is needed at all.
I've not got to the price bit yet but if it's pretty good I might need to get one. I still don't have a larger format FDM printer.
On a total aside. Have you tried and tested any PHA filament? I'd like to use it as it's compostable for all the fails, and iterations.
The ColorFabb is just selling at silly prices here in Australia.($100) Are you aware of other PHA filament providers?
It’s such a solid machine, and no, I haven’t tried that filament yet.
What does it use for bed leveling and z offset?
Inductive probe.
Where can you find the correct slicer for this? I can't find the Comgrow slicer you mentioned
One comes with the thumb drive.
Also try orca slicer for t500
Thumb drive will have it!
I wasn't really aware what Comgrow was, since i always thought they were just a distributor for Creality, since i bought some enders and they sent me emails about it. I remember that Sovol came into the scene and did A LOT right. Their klipperized machines seemed to absolutely smash. I hope this merger only shows growth.
They make great machines!
I think a lot of coplayers would love this one if their into armor/ large prints, the speed and QoL updates means less wait time. Also people printing texties LOVE a wide bed as well.
The holy grail is going to be a wide bed with an AMS or multi head system for textiles. 🤔
Absolutely! Great cosplay machine, and yes and AMS would be PERFECT! We wish for it!
I think the printer costs $1000,-. That is: $400,- for the bare machine..
then $100,- for an octopus pro or similar mainboard.. to have a second z stepper driver to be able to do real z-tilt.
Then 100,- for a raspberry pi to run that mainboard and real klipperscreen..
then $100,- for of course a 10 inch android tablet for that klipperscreen..
and finally $200 for a revo hotend.. (why is that needed? because i like to have the same hotend on all of my printers!)
and i forgot another $100 for cabling and real silent fans
Total $1000,-
Thats a lot cheaper than a voron.
Crazy how fast things can add up! 🔥
That is a pretty great price for the features available on that printer. 😮
So good!
I love social, but this is basically just a more expensive sv07 that looks pretty
Totally different.
I’m gonna guess… $550.
Woo! That’s a great price. I’ve been waiting for bambu to make a helmet class P1S. But may have to pull the trigger on this one. It looks really good.
Awesome huh?!
So is it this or the Artillery SW-X4 Plus?
Decisions! Decisions!
same as the new k1-c by creality. 549....so is this for someone like myself still debating on their first printer....a whole year later ....literaly ?
It would be great for a first time user as well. Some of the terminology like z-offset and leveling can throw some inexperienced users, but it would be fine. Bambu is also a great choice at different levels of cost.
Would you get this or the sidewinder x4 plus?
Very different price points! That’s a tough one. If you have the budget, this machine!
@@LoyalMoses thanks so much for the quick reply! Would it be worth the price increase over the sv07 plus at around 350?
Oh! Content coming on the SV07 Plus! This machine is built far tougher than the SV07 Plus.
Hi Moses - Your Gloop link doesn't appear to be working - it takes me to a Bitly 404 "Something's Wrong Here" page.
Fixed. Sorry!
Way too expensive. I'm sure it's very strong. I use superglue with a separate activator. When I try to break it off after gluing, it will either break at another place or chunks off material come with it. So for a fraction of the cost it's plenty strong and it cures in seconds.
That's one big slinger...whoa
That's what she said.
LOL, you've never heard of the Comgrow T500? I have 2, they're great! 500mm cubed. This is the baby brother.
Haha
We are comparing the T500 with this one, it’s in the other studio! It’s HUGE!
@@LoyalMoses I'm a complete newbie and a poor. Will I be happy with a Sidewinder X4 Plus?
This has the looks of Ender 3 V3 and the screen itself is the same lolz, nice. I wish i could buy that screen and make it usable with CR-10 SE. Haha Comgrow Sovol is same company with creality, or same OEM factory
No, they are not the same company.
Moses, I believe you need to go a little deeper in your reviews if this is one. I see the bed is plastic. Also, the print head is one of a kind. I just do not believe plastic and heat are a good combo for the long run. Did you do a bed mesh on it? Maybe you can do a more detail review down the road. The printer looks like a nice combo, but I'll wait for more reviews. Thanks for your videos I do enjoy them.
I don’t do “reviews” - I don’t find any value in them.
What? What is your distinction between this and a review? You went over the specs, compared it to other printers, and straight up recommended the printer at the end.@@LoyalMoses
Sorry but I'm a little confused. How can you recommend something without looking at the whole package. I wouldn't recommend this just on the plastic bed alone. This is an issue waiting to happen. Sorry but my thoughts only.@@LoyalMoses
In general a review is an attempt at being unbiased, trying to be neutral - which is not possible. As humans, we all have preferences and bias, and that is a good thing. So rather than try to fake being neutral or unbiased, I am just going to be who I am, and you'll see right away if I like or dislike something. I prefer rather to just simply share my experiences. I may do reviews in the future, but for now, I am not interested in them.
For instance, it's common for "reviewers" to look for and find a couple of negative things (even if inconsequential) to appear balanced. To me, that is just acting.
I am glad we all have bias, that's what makes us unique, and there are things that that don't bother me about printers that literally trigger others.
I recommend watching all of the content on a product before making big decisions.
There are no rules on how and when I recommend something. I have my preferences, and my opinions and I am free to recommend anything that I want.
Wow I was thinking at least $600. Nice!!
Great price!
Nice nice and good video
Thanks
@@LoyalMoses your welkome al ways good ♥️🙏
So this or an A1+AMS next month? Sorry LM, no sale. If you need the 300mm, save up a 200 more dollars and get the K1 Max, which is better in so many ways.
The quality of this is far superior to the K1 series
@@LoyalMosesthis ones has better print quality on 300mm/s?
"Do we need the top bar anymore?" You need structural rigidity on x/z, so if you don't have it with a simple crossbar you have to compensate for that. I was wondering why the base was so huge compared to build volume, that and those chonky brackets are to have that rogidity without the crossbar. It looks interesting without those but it's got an unnecessarily large footprint and add ons to compensate for that.
It’s such a cool design!
I'm going to guess the price is $389 on sale with a $450 MSRP.
Well I guess I was a bit optimistic. I did guess before even seeing how many linear rails they use though. I was going off of market trends and what the T500 is selling for right now on sale. The price point makes sense, but I think it will sell a lot better for about $100 less. The trend right now is not to pay a lot for bedslingers unless they are made by certain special companies hahaha..
LOL I wrote my second comment right before you mentioned the $100 coupon. Perfect then! My guess wasn't so far off hahaha.
Great guess!!!
Linux, huh? Bet you could run Do... oh, yup. You just answered my question :)
Haha!
Well that's a different look without the gantry top piece
Love the look!
$759
I would have guessed similar!
Im making a youtube channel do you have any tips?
I do! First, congrats! Make videos that you would like to watch, chances are that others will want to watch too!
399
That would be cool!
549.00
Boom!
hmmm I'd say 459 dollars
Great guess!
I think the printer costs $449?
Great guess!
I think it's 550.
Great guess!
@@LoyalMosesThx, mate.
$350
That would be crazy good!
549
Good guess!
Looks like they solved a bunch of the issues present on the T500 with this one, I hope those make their way to the big boi. Can't wait for the official score to come out.
Thanks!
$250
That would be crazy good!
$499
So good!
$700.00?
I would have guessed that or $800!
@@LoyalMoses We we’re both wrong. I want to pull the trigger based on the build plate and the price. Wife will not be happy 😆 But I will!
haha! Don't upset the wife!
No one should be buying this printer. In 2024 there is no excuse for not having auto bed leveling and z-offset. if we as a community want the vendors to get with the program and innovate, we need to call it out.
I see it differently, I am all for options and choices. What you think are required features, others disagree. Just this week, I've had discussions with business owners that don't want auto-z because they have very precise needs for first layers. Gotta open up the mind a little, not everyone uses them the same way.
499
Can you believe that?! With the coupon, just less than that!
The t500 was garbage. I had that for 2 weeks. Terrible machine...be very careful
You mean YOUR experience was bad. My experience with the T500 has been great, comparison video coming soon!
Mostly what I have gathered is that they are a bit inconsistent on quality. There are some pieces that are not always perfect. Impressive machines in terms of features though. You aren't going to print that big for any cheaper, that's for sure. The motion systems are nice, they just need excellent QC.
$549
LOL...Just made it to the price section! Nailed it! My guess was based on what I bought the A1 and AMS for earlier this year
Yes!
$450
Great guess!
529
Great guess!
