A month ago that snow was ontop of your head. I gotta admit, that EC tunner looks and performs well, matched that profile perfectly. Going to enjoy seeing what you do with this rifle. Thanks brother!
Kenny only if more people realize that 6br is a damn hammer, you can literally load what ever charge u want and if you have a good rifle it will be sub moa lol, there is not bad groups with 6br mine kicked ass this past Saturday cold bore 3” plate 2 times in a row
Gotta love a AI i just picked up a AT with a 6 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrels and the 6mm will shoot consistent 3/8 moa 5 shot groups with factory ammo! Insane. Thanks for all the videos! Appreciate it.
I started shooting Midrange F Open last year. A couple of the guys I shoot with highly recommend the 6BR. Soft shooting, extremely accurate, and very forgiving in load development.
I have a 6mmBR Norma bench gun, most laugh when they see how short/small the round is until they see the target, yup, you just smile............ thanks for showing !!
Everybody I know that shoots or has shot the 6 br stayed at 30 gr of varget with a 105 and by looking at your groups, seems like you are done with load development, well done. Cheers
Very informative video, thank you. Thinking about purchasing an AI for precision hunting (one shot, one kill and no suffering for the animal). I think your demonstration of the rifle really has increased my confidence in it.
Very Nice!! Rifle shoots great right out of the box. Gotta love that! I've been a fan of Eagle Eye for a good long while now. I need to get my but in gear and decide what to do with a short action Rem700 I have with a burned out barrel so I can have Kenny spin me up one if he's not too swamped. Thanks!
The 6 BR and all the Wildcats based on it are very easy to live with. Looking forward to hearing how your load development and EC Tuner work goes. Glad to see the magazines feed that so smooth. Many of us used to fireform the BR into Dasher, but these days the Alpha and Peterson are the easy button. I was always surprised at how accurate the 30 gr Varget fireform loads were and have some friends who have won matches while FF their brass. Good Luck with the new rig!!!
Nice scope Ray. I just picked up a like new Tangent Theta 5-25x56 with the Gen 3 XR reticle. It's going on my DPG 6 ARC. That 6BR is looking to be a laser for PRS. Plus the barrel life will be better than the 6 Creedmoor.
Wow pretty impressive. Kenny out did himself. Love the EC Tuner. Can’t wait to see you shoot it out to 700 to 1000 yards. Have a great week Ray. Stay safe and warm.
Great looking rig with impressive results. Kind of strange seeing you guys in NC getting so much more snow than us here in Indiana. But that's okay you guys can keep it. Thanks for the video Be Safe.
Just built a new rig chambered in 6 BR-Ackley Improved for PRS…have yet to send rounds down range yet but hopefully it goes well…have buddies who have won matches while fireforming cases…we’ll see how it goes!
I don't know. One of the reasons I liked the other guy was his age. I saw that gray hair, much like mine, and knew there was experience underneath. These young whipper-snappers with color still in their hair, joints that don't ache and all their body parts just don't have the gravitas. I won't leap to judgment because I liked what the new guy had to say. I admit his presentation was a lot like I'm used to with Ray, competent, informative, likeable. So we'll see. If he keeps up this same level of good informative and entertaining videos, I guess I'll keep watching. But know this - I've got my eye on you. Damn kids. Turn your back for a minute and they just take over.
I feel like you should get together with Alabama Arsenal and take some of your rifles out to 1000+ yards. I'm sure they'd love your long range rifles and testing with different calibers/ammo. Always love watching the new rifle videos with you.
@@XRING I'm looking at property in Arkansas so I can have a get away and a personal range, doubt I'll be able to do 1000 yards since I'd have to buy a mountain to do that, haha! Where are you doing most of your shooting? I forget what state you're in, if you care to share.
My next build is going to be a 6 BR. Got all the components (dies, brass, powder, projectiles) except a barrel. Gonna try to use a Terminus Zeus QC (if I can find one) so I can switch around barrels.
I really want to get one of those EC Tuner Breaks. I am glad to see you trying one. Have you considered getting a Shot Marker electronic scoring system? I'm considering getting one of those as well. My thought is that it is a lot cheaper than a really good spotting scope and a lot faster than walking down to check the target at long range.
Nice round . That recoil looked almost non existent. It makes me jealous thinking of the recoil my 260 puts out . Thanks for the vid and Kenny sure puts together a sweet setup
OMG i could not at first work out why you looked so different (including the Mirctech vid). Then i relised..... Looking good Ray.. Can you please try and do film this load development, Very interested in your method.
That is one good looking rifle.. Well done, DP GUN WORKS. ..... BUT... I think there is something wrong with your scope... It is missing SHIBAL SEKI marked territorial stamp.... LOL... All jokes aside, it really is a good looking set up.
I am surprised that people still don’t know about 6br. Heck, people know about dasher then they should know it’s parent is 6br. I think it is because there isn’t wide factory loadings for it and mostly handloaders use it. I have a 6br that has a 28” length and 1/8 twist. Using 30 gr Varget and 108 Berger and CBTO at 1.812”, you’ll find your speed increases as the barrel breaks in. I got 2825fps after 500 rounds and it is shooting 1/4 MOA at 300 yards. I was getting similar speeds when I first got my barrel (benchmark) at 2736fps. No need for muzzle break, it is already light recoil. 6br has Long barrel life of over 3500 round supposedly unlike the 6creedmoor. I am over 2000 rounds and it is still capable of 1/4 moa. The only problems with 6br is hardly no factory loadings made for it which doesn’t bother me and also Varget is hard to find which is a problem for me and everyone who shoots a 6br.
I’ve just put in a order for the ec tuner brake so am keen to see what results you can get from it. from what I’ve seen so far they are only going to get smaller.
Never heard of the 6 BR but it does look to be a minimum recoil. Did you find anything you were impressed with at shot show ? Keep up the great work Ray !!
Hey Ray! I was thinking about getting a new rifle built up in 6mm. I was leaning towards the 6mm Arc. Is it a good way to go or is there another 6mm that better? Thanks for the video’s, you have great and informative content.
There are at least a half dozen 6mm cartridges' between 6 ARC and 6 creed for bolt guns 6 PPC, 6 dasher, 6 XC, 6x47 L. It depends on what and where your shooting. 6BR is a great one to start with, it's easy to tune, longer barrel life and generally very consistent. The down side is at longer ranges and windy conditions higher velocities may have an advantage. There's always tradeoffs.
Sure looks soft shooting in the video. What part of the country is this? Looks like southern Appalachia, judging from the foliage. TN, NC, or GA? Interesting to see the key mod for end.
Yes, I still have the LabRadar but the Magnetospeed is just easier to setup for what I do. There are times that the Labrader is better but it’s a lot bulkier to move around.
Please tell us the barrel length and the total weight (rifle and scope, rings). I assume that if you change the cartridge's bullet/power set up, that you would have to change the turner's setting?
Can a 6 creedmoor bolt be used with a 6BR round? I ask because I'm considering a American Rifle Company 6 creedmoor and was wondering if I would need a different bolt face for the BR. Thanks
