I agree. I'm a wig wearer from AGES ago. I keep a pair of specialized hair scissors (now some 30 years old and still sharp) just for that purpose. Don't ever use them for anything else and they'll last forever!

Alana is my all time favorite wig. I never fail to get compliments on her when I take her out for the day. I don't mind when mine falls in my face. A little flick of my head and she's back in place. My daughter says it seems so natural and real when I do that. And it feels natural and real. I am about to purchase a duplicate Alana in white to match my hair. Because you suggested that I buy two....one for everyday and one for good. I just may trim some bangs in my next one. This video is SUCH a blessing! Before I learned some of these tricks I actually sent back a wig or two. Won't do t hat now, of course. And that Marble Brown-H is such a stunning color. The "H" part actually blended with your own blonde hair. I've been experimenting and have learned that my dark hair even blends into my lightest blonde wigs--especially if they're rooted! BTW, my Color Ring just got here and I love it! I advise anyone who isn't completely familiar with Godiva's colors to purchase (or rent) the Color Ring. It's such a help! I now know what colors my toppers should be (three different colors work quite well) and can decide between them. Thanks for another great Monday Morning Godiva Goodness.

I do NOT mean to sound pompous, but I have nearly forty wigs, yet, of them ALL, "Alana", in my VERY humble opinion, is the ABSOLUTELY most beautiful of them ALL !! I have her in 'Marble Brown-H & I am getting ready to order her again & in the same color, MB-H. As someone who has a forehead ONLY Herman Muenster would envy, it was pure luck I got on GSWs this morning. I say this because I tried to cut "bangs" into her & I think I messed up. Great advice, Ro. I have a very short forehead and I frequently have trouble with hair falling forward into my face. I like those little baby claw clips to pull it back. I also wear headbands or even decorative barrettes. Cutting wispy bangs is my last resort, because it's still new to me and I get a little nervous. I love these helpful videos. Thanks!

Yes Linda, I have different eye glasses for my moods too. Thing is, if we do need glasses, just wear them and know that you love and accept your 'hair' and glasses as you want/need them! It will all look great! xo Ro ps-I take mine glasses on and off all day long, everyday!

I would use the GS hair spray on this wig. It is very helpful, specially on a new wig. It is great with fly aways. I love this wig on you Ro. Great demonstration!

Hi! I have two of your 'hairpieces' not "wigs" and these come with two clips sewn in the front that keep me from being able to successfully use some of these recommendations. I also haven't located elastics on the sides to help me position it naturally. I generally wear each of my hairpieces over my own (thinner) hair remaining loose underneath, which requires me to use the attached 4 clips underneath, limiting ability to pull out my own hair as there is not elastic at the edge. If I attach the hairpiece further back on my hairline, it doesn't stay in place well at all. Do you have a video using a hairpiece instead of a full wig? I'm having trouble incorporating my own hair with these hairpieces in a way that looks natural. Loved this video and will apply some of these suggestions. I'll keep at it!
Great question! 99% of all clients want clips in with their toppers - me too. When I want to use some of my own hair, I jut pull it out before attaching the piece, then put the piece over and clip in place. Or, remove the clips if you must and if that makes it how you want it. I love the shorter trimmed version of Katie but I would never have the courage to cut this much. The Katie "flip" seems to be a common issue of concern for most. It just doesn't look natural to me. I could take it to a hairdresser but no guarantee with that either. Ideally, would be looking for a lace front, mono version of a shorter Katie. Lol. I know I ask too much. I'm going to have to bite the bullet at some point and take a chance. Thank you, and I agree with all who say you look amazing in all your wigs!
My dear Kathleen; to me, trimming the flip off a Katie or making any changes in wigs doesn't take courage - it takes you taking a step in trusting yourself and what you would like to look like. Katie wig is so popular for many reasons - the flip included - it's not the end of the world if you go somewhere to have it trimmed and have them take a little at a time. Our world of wigs is so great because we learn to trust ourselves; and owning more styles helps us to be more 'elastic' and not stuck in one exact-in-every-way style. Y'all don't ever off colors for red heads I think I have seen one red wig and I think I'm not for sure. That's very discouraging considering we are so rare and our red hair is by far the prettiest color

Great advice, Ro. I have a very short forehead and I frequently have trouble with hair falling forward into my face. I like those little baby claw clips to pull it back. I also wear headbands or even decorative barrettes. Cutting wispy bangs is my last resort, because it's still new to me and I get a little nervous. I love these helpful videos. Thanks!

Yes Linda, I have different eye glasses for my moods too. Thing is, if we do need glasses, just wear them and know that you love and accept your 'hair' and glasses as you want/need them! It will all look great! xo Ro

I would use the GS hair spray on this wig. It is very helpful, specially on a new wig. It is great with fly aways.

The best I can say is to look for a 'Low Alcohol' hairspray for wigs xo Ro
Hi! I have two of your 'hairpieces' not "wigs" and these come with two clips sewn in the front that keep me from being able to successfully use some of these recommendations. I also haven't located elastics on the sides to help me position it naturally. I generally wear each of my hairpieces over my own (thinner) hair remaining loose underneath, which requires me to use the attached 4 clips underneath, limiting ability to pull out my own hair as there is not elastic at the edge. If I attach the hairpiece further back on my hairline, it doesn't stay in place well at all. Do you have a video using a hairpiece instead of a full wig? I'm having trouble incorporating my own hair with these hairpieces in a way that looks natural. Loved this video and will apply some of these suggestions. I'll keep at it!
Great question! 99% of all clients want clips in with their toppers - me too. When I want to use some of my own hair, I jut pull it out before attaching the piece, then put the piece over and clip in place. Or, remove the clips if you must and if that makes it how you want it. We have many more videos with lots more info that may assist you.

I love the shorter trimmed version of Katie but I would never have the courage to cut this much. The Katie "flip" seems to be a common issue of concern for most. It just doesn't look natural to me. I could take it to a hairdresser but no guarantee with that either. Ideally, would be looking for a lace front, mono version of a shorter Katie. Lol. I know I ask too much. I'm going to have to bite the bullet at some point and take a chance. Thank you, and I agree with all who say you look amazing in all your wigs!
My dear Kathleen; to me, trimming the flip off a Katie or making any changes in wigs doesn't take courage - it takes you taking a step in trusting yourself and what you would like to look like. Katie wig is so popular for many reasons - the flip included - it's not the end of the world if you go somewhere to have it trimmed and have them take a little at a time. Our world of wigs is so great because we learn to trust ourselves; and owning more styles helps us to be more 'elastic' and not stuck in one exact-in-every-way style. Hi Harley, on my own head of hair, I always have short hairs that stick up; they are either broken or new growth, that is very normal. If you want, spritz and pat them down with our Keep It There Low Alc. Hair Spray. It works great! Ro

Y'all don't ever off colors for red heads I think I have seen one red wig and I think I'm not for sure. That's very discouraging considering we are so rare and our red hair is by far the prettiest color
