The older ones were the best, as they published newer ones, the phrase "This job is beyond the scope of a home mechanic and should be performed by a dealer" began to appear more and more. I'm a retired aircraft technician and I really appreciate the care you put into your work. I'm looking forward to the next episode!!
When I went aftermarket rods in my vw block, I needed to tickle the bottom on the bores as at 3 and 9 o'clock, the rods were just touching the block. I think that's what the impact marks you mentioned are. You will probably have a matching shiny spot on the rod. I die grinder and a couple of mm metal removal around the contact point fixed it.
Isn't it tempting to use a Jaguar 3.0 V6? More displacement, shimmed buckets instead of followers, variable intake timing, coil on plug, and it would mostly bolt right in. X-type has the cam driven water pump, S-type has a floating water pump that bolts over the timing cover-so it would be idea for using a remote electric water pump. Possible draw back, the intake manifolds are kind of tall.
Fantastic to a top engine builder strip down and engine which they did not build. Find things out about it. Nice cosworth parts. Look forward to the build on this engine.

The engine disassemble on the NOBALIST of NOBLES was really good. Although no one wants to see a video where someone else’s work is discredited, it’s viewing gold when you see pandoras being opened. Would love to see the other engine being opened up.
The older Haynes manuals were better. You're right that newer ones will say plug in, diagnose, and take to a dealer! Another focus whine, it seemed worse than usual... a camera issue?
I was advised when looking at an EVO X to get the GSR and spend 2500 on exhaust intake and tune and you are up to FQ360 power. The only variant that was very different was the FQ400 which had a lot of changes to turbo etc. Ended up with an FQ300. Awesome fun..
I hope that was a snap on tube removal tool you used to withdraw that rusty old steel tube? Chisel did the trick anyway 🙈🙉👍👍well the monkey wrench didn’t work either 😂😂😂
Removing a splinter mix sugar and soap into a paste . Put paste on plaster then put plaster over the splinter remove plaster after 12 hrs . Splinter will now be on plaster 👍
This noble engine been upgraded with forged pistons and rods,(dont think noble used forged rod's), wheeler dealers noble showed how bodged these put together terrible, should've used second gen st engine
Surely sack off that taxi motor and go with a eco boost or vr38, something befitting your calibre of supercar builds. That whole motor setup is depressing.
you know you do have great content but the mistake you make is your videos are just too long. most youtubers dont do past 25 mins.. this is coming from a guy who has no clue on how to produce a video, just watch them.

Those rods are known for not being great out of the box for tolerances, not bad for the price if you get them direct from source though (far east...)

Engine came out of the 2.5 Noble to fit a V8 engine in. This did not get complete due to time and therefore sold and an M400 was purchased.
