One of the coolest things about riding along with Jonny, is that we have no clue what the vehicle will be. The variety is always interesting, but the ENTHUSIASM keeps us coming back. I hope Jonny loves doing these as much as we love watching... 🎉

And you know, I had one of those in the sixties. Fanny and I would often go down the A1, with Fanny screaming loudly in my ear to go faster and drive it harder and harder. Sometimes Fannie’s scarf would get entangled in the wheels and choke her until she was blue, and you know what, I bloody well drove it harder and harder. Different times, different times.

Honestly for me, this and the Carice TC2 are the future of urban mobility. We need to start ditching those 2 ton SUV's and fill the city streets with electric vehicles like these.
All of the materials used to build a single Tesla Model X or the new Hummer EV would almost be enough to build 4 or 5 of these. If the automotive conglomerate in Europe/US/Japan wants to compete against China in terms of adoption/acquisition of EV's, they have to go small in size and increase production volume to lower overall costs but unfortunately, they think that they can keep afloat selling their overpriced junk against China's underpriced junk.
There is absolutely no excuse other than "but, but, my profit margin..." to build small, efficient and especially affordable electric cars these days. Most of the world's population lives in cities, there is no need for a vehicle that is larger than the place it drives in. It's a lot easier and cheaper for the manufacturers to make smaller cars than it is for governments to build wider roads, but it's also easier to just foot the bill upon the tax payer than it is to give it to the multi-billion Euro/Dollar/Yen auto corporations. Those have banks, lawyers, lobbyists and governments on their side, we don't.

This car is so fun, I would be all over it if money was nothing. what a massive smile factory and you don't have to worry about the historic value or significance of it or driving through a puddle or anything like that.

I love it, the craftmanship is excellent. But I feel like they could have done something to change the mandatory EV hum to something else. At least the horn is correct. I feel like the masts holding the seatbelts are a bit optimistic too, unless they're also supposed to act as rollover protection? But you're right, a rollover hoop might not be authentic but it would look more symmetrical and purposeful.

    The video too.
Back in the early 70’s i had the pleasure of seeing one about half the size. It belonged to the son of a film director - it wasn’t electric but could probably go quite quickly around his vast estate.

'90s man does '60s man impersonation "it was a different tyyyyam!" driving a 1920s car made in 2024. Makes perfect sense :) Great work as always.

A Mark One Sprite would be nice. More important is progress in low voltage quads for urban and rural use. With a good sled, all sorts of body work can be added.

I love the look, finish and even scale of this. I am pro EV but I can't help but think this needs to make a vintage sound and a bit more top end, something like a sorted Harley or Guzzi V twin would fit in there nicely, you could even have the high level exhaust running down the side.

I love the concept. I could see them taking off (not down a cliff either). It looks fun. Could we have a Williams F1 Hill version next please.

Back in my days I had one of these, but without silly seatbelts, we took thick gilfriends instead of airbags.
There was no elecrticity In my ancesters castle so poor old George had to charge my little Junior with a balloon and wool fabric for a whole week, great, great times!

Let's be honest here, it's frickin awesome. A rich person's toy true but still awesome. It really is a pity that any re engineered old car is so expensive. We need the old kit cars back !

Sweet sweet memories of trundling around in my Blower, through the leafy streets of London town, full tweed and woodbine going even in the hottest of summers. On that side of things but of course it was different back then. Imagine modding and taking out the electric pack!!! Loved this you SSG! #CMTMB 👍

Ah, I was so looking forward to seeing it dashing through the streets of leafy, leafy London.
There should always be a place for fun stuff like this, and it's something that we rather excel at in these isles.

I too think a roll cage would look better than the asymmetrical posts.
Also I think they could've added in a frunk, as there's plenty of space there.

12:38 Shower hose rear light cluster "cable ducts"! It's like trying to spot the kitchen appliances in a sci-fi set :D I love it and I applaud that it exists. But that did make me giggle.

    What a beauty...
In a way it describes the current English car makers of today, odd, very expensive, impractical and too short range for an EV, but that shot of it pulling out of a mews garage makes it all worth it...
