I was all like: "Okay, those are the corpses of the victims of the wolf. So far nothing new." But when the rabbit started talking, bruh. I almost had a heart attack. Those beings are alive, dying a slow and painful death. Whatever this THING is, it for sure is in my list of "shoot on sight" if I were to ever actually find it for real.

Honestly, the creepiness factor is solid-I’ll give the creator that! But I have to say, the story comes across as a bit cliché. Here’s why: it doesn’t make much logical sense in some areas. For example, the mother and grandmother-both rational adults-wouldn’t realistically let a kid wander into the woods late at night. That feels like a big stretch. Also, how are sweets supposed to help grandma if she’s sick? It feels a little too convenient without a deeper explanation. And in terms of the plot, it’s pretty predictable. The way the story is set up makes it clear how it’s going to unfold from the start. That said, I think there’s definitely potential here, especially with the creepy atmosphere! With a bit of tweaking, the story could feel more grounded and have a stronger impact.

Something notable is how it’s heavily implied that the wolf killed the bear and rabbit at 2:27 and just left them, this wasn’t a predator, it wasn’t killing them for food, he killed them for pleasure. This THING is about the size of a house, it kills for fun, and it resembles a wolf, whatever this thing is… it truely is the Big Bad Wolf.

The fact that this version of the big bad wolf killed forest animals (Literally killed a bear which should be stronger than a wolf alone, and have you seen his SIZE and SHAPE?) and manage to imitate Little Red Riding Hood to kill the grandmother, It just gives me the creeps. This isn't the first time I've seen an analogue horror video about a fairy tale (like The Ugly Duckling and Alice in Wonderland), but I manage to feel terrified and I love it. Well it gave all 3 of us (me and my friends) a jump out of our skins. I mean really, I figured there will be no woodsman to save her or the granny or the Mom this time. I mean, what kind of woodsman would chop wood in that type of hour? I mean I knew in the original it’s ’mature content’. And overtime making it a happy go lucky fairytale story. This one is seriously dark than the movie itself.
Making analog horror out of fairytales is such a great way to go about it, especially since one thing analog horror already relies on is turning nostalgia into danger. Fairytales provide an easy base for the story so more can be dedicated to giving it the horror flair and because they're, yk, common fairytales, you already recognize the characters and what's going on. Plus, for specific stories like little red riding hood, it's really fitting to insert horror into it because that's likely how it'd feel from little red's perspective. The surreality of most fairytales (and also how brutal most of them originally are) allows for a lot of creative expression to be done without having to risk creating a story no one likes, that stage is done for you
Well I know this was scary but the fact 1 duck could take out 6 swans with his wings was insane. I’m talking about the ugly duckling analog horror where a duckling is bullied by the other cygnets about his look so when they grow up the duck was not there so when the swans go out to continue the mother swan’s bloodline the duckling stopped them by massacring them and stripping them of their feathers so when the mother swan goes to see how her kids are doing she only saw the duckling and man the jumpscare of the duck was scary it gave me goosebumps
They showed the moon and how it looked extra creepy, and the Big, Bad Wolf has clothes on. I am wondering if the video is telling us that the wolf is actually a werewolf in this story. Look at what it did to a bear with taking seemingly no damage from the bear. And the fact that he did not stop there means he is not even hunting to eat. He's doing it for the love of the game, so he is a sadistic werewolf at that. Little Red was cooked from the start.

Very very very good!!!! Definitely seems like this has some inspiration from the Mystery House and i love it!!! Over all pretty scary and the use of the dark to make the wolf seem more otherworldly and foren was awesome!! ❤

I think the Wolf is the Woodsman, I'm not saying this because he's usually there to save them. I'm saying this because predators never waste food, yes they play with them but never kill for no reason. There's animals that look like regular animals while the Wolf is big and could be the size of a person. Predators kill to survive but the Wolf kills for pleasure. There's no sign of the Woodsman, not even a human body, it's because him and the Wolf are the same person. I think the Woodsman skinned the Wolf and wore it's skin. The Wolf isn't a predator, he's a serial killer. Or I'm just overthinking, great job on the animation this actually made my spine chill.
That cut to Little Reds POV where we just see her walking alone in the woods, so good. Had chills running through my body. And the feeling of dread when she just stops and breathes, almost compelled to turn around but can't, so good. Really made me feel the dread she was going through, knowing what happens if she moves forward but unable to turn back. Also I really love the idea that everyone speaks in text box so your devoid of "hearing them" and the only voices you hear is the wolf and the rabbits warning.
If I was her, I would just run in the woods as fast I can without bumping into anything or anyone (especially the wolf), go to her grandmothers house, give her the candy, and not go back to the house until daylight. The Mom shoulda been wise enough to know it’s dangerous to be out after dark. The wise choice is to wait until morning to go to Grandmas or at least go escort her to grandmas and the two of them haft to spend the night there until daylight.

I actually like the horror theme of this. It’s Avery nice recreation of the original nursery rhyme and I like the scariness to it. I also think you’re the first to do an idea of this. I’d like to see you make more videos like this based on original nursery rhymes. Because I really like the horror vibes to this a lot.
I’m with you on that statement she didn’t look sick. If the Grandma had just waited until morning to tell her daughter that she’s quote on quote ‘sick’ & needs candy it coulda been avoided. Besides it woulda been a little safe if Red and her mother had waited until daylight to deliver the goods to the grandmother. We all know things can be extremely dangerous after dark especially in the woods.

I came after watching a video of daksikawa talking about this video, I particularly loved the designer, the tension is built gradually and immersively based on smaller details like facial expressions,colors, light and shadow instead of those cheap and boring jump scares, congratulations. I was particularly afraid of this wolf because of the vibe of ab_$er and persecutor that he gives off right when he appears, the rest of his speech and actions only intensify the agony he emits.

As soon as TWF 3 ended..this style has kinda become the *fan* interpretation of the walten files. Though you are right that this use of the style is impressive
Great content, i think you should continue this and i'm not sure if there is already a part 2 but i'll search it up but still a nice way to interpret the original story and the wolf looks so goofy
this was an analog horror i actually enjoyed, no overusing jumpscares, makes you feel alone in the woods, and the character just has to see her loved ones suffer before dying aswell

Gotta say this is amazing. I love the flashlight 1st pov. I was looking for more horror after the return of pumpkin rabbit and it certainly delivered. The atmosphere is well done, as someone in the rural area the pitch black darkness outside was all too familiar. Wolf set off every "this guy is dangerous" sense in me, the moment I saw him on screen I knew there was no hope. My favorite might just be when grandma opened the door and you see his eyes and teeth slowly light up, for me it was as if waiting for a bomb to go off.
I’ve seen a bunch of comments asking how to pull off the Walten Files-esque style. I don’t have a solid method, but I think I have some decent tips: 1- Simple, almost doll-like designs for non-antagonist characters. 2- Contrast of bright, pleasant colors of “good guys” and peaceful scenes against grungy, drained color schemes for creepy scenes and characters. 3- Exaggerated features to create a sense of unease. (Long, almost gaunt face. Gangly limbs. Eyes that are too small/large and too detailed for comfort. Basically any contrasting features that fall into the uncanny valley. Experiment with it and see what works!
This wolf is in fact not a normal wolf, the way the dead animals at the beginning spoke makes me think that they are souls killed by the "wolf" warning everyone to pass by, but I can't be sure since little hat called them animals dead. Another point are the paintings on grandma's wall at minute 8:39, I couldn't ignore them, like that silhouette of a person in the painting, who is that person and what is they? in fact, grandma probably knew something but I'm not sure, because she said "don't come here". and why would a "normal wolf" be dressed in human clothes? and why is a "normal wolf" literally the size of a house? What's in my head is that it wasn't a wolf, but a human being or an unknown creature, with humanoid shapes, apart from the fact that the wolf speaks. I gave my points, who is that person in the painting? What is that "wolf"? Are those animals souls?
My theory is grandma had a husband but the grandfather was secretly a werewolf so at night his pants never tore but it became permanent. The grandfather was in pain when turning into the wolf and he could be a European werewolf as those were the size of a house and could easily maul you to death so this is the story. Grandma and grandpa were having a great time as their pure bloodline was continuing greatly but things took a turn for the worst as one night the grandpa was having sharp pain when taking a walk outside and started transforming into a European werewolf and his pants did not tear but this was permanent. The grandpa as a European werewolf knew nothing but bloodshed and death so day by day the grandpa tore and mauled every forest creature. One night the grandpa spotted a girl with a basket of candies and a red hood walking so he took a deceiving look and went to the girl asking her where she was going but when the girl said she should not talk to strangers the deceiving look wore off and he heard that the girl was heading to grandma’s house so he said this ‘I Will Take Care Of Grandma.Trust Me.Trust.Me’ and the grandpa ran off to grandma’s house when he knocked on the door he imitated the voice of the girl saying it was her. When the grandma opened the door and the grandpa struck taking the life of the grandma and taunted the girl. As the girl went into grandma’s house the grandpa stared at her before running to another window where the grandma’s corpse lay and opened it jumping in and then closing it. As the girl went into the room the grandpa said to come closer and the girl found nothing but grandma’s corpse before the grandpa appeared behind the corpse and said ‘Your Grandma Is Gone. Now It’s ŶØŲⱤ ƮŲⱤṈ!’ Before killing the girl as well soon he went to the house of the girl to end the pure bloodline by finishing off the mother. The end

I remember a similar analog horror-esque interpretation of Little Red Riding Hood. It was done by Justin G. called Rotkäppchen which I never found after it's initial release. But there is a key difference between these two. This new interpretation is leagues better written and better laid out than the og. Where do I begin? Well the original wanted to present the wolf as "a threat" but not the main threat of the story but they gave this dude an overdose of what this wolf does & expects us to be treat this wolf like he's any old woodland critter. Not here though. I haven't even finished the video & I'm already horrified to find out what thing mangled the animals Secondly. It plays with my previous expectations For years on end. Most scenes like woodland bodies would always end simply with main character seeing the bodies and not much else unless it's part of the climax. I was completely expecting that to be the case! *NOPE* One of the bodies talks to little red giving her a major heads up to run back!. If you could make a series with this TWF 3-esque style. Hopefully this subvertion of expectations is used as right as it did here & Hopefully the style will be used for something non animatronic related. We've seen this style used a lot in that
Yo wassup!!! Ok so I have this idea based off this. What if he makes more installments based off fairytales, but instead of that tale’s villain killing the main character, it’s the wolf. Like for example, if he makes a Pinocchio vhs, instead of the coachman it could be the wolf, almost as if this wolf is a demonic entity that corrupts different fairytales! I also have this idea for what if this is leading up to a fan game which takes place in a fairly tale themed theme park, but instead of animatronics, it’s shadowy entities that take the form of famous fairly tale characters! Possessed by the park owners child.

Honestly, the creepiness factor is solid-I’ll give the creator that! But I have to say, the story comes across as a bit cliché. Here’s why: it doesn’t make much logical sense in some areas. For example, the mother and grandmother-both rational adults-wouldn’t realistically let a kid wander into the woods late at night. That feels like a big stretch.
Also, how are sweets supposed to help grandma if she’s sick? It feels a little too convenient without a deeper explanation. And in terms of the plot, it’s pretty predictable. The way the story is set up makes it clear how it’s going to unfold from the start.
That said, I think there’s definitely potential here, especially with the creepy atmosphere! With a bit of tweaking, the story could feel more grounded and have a stronger impact.

The fact that this version of the big bad wolf killed forest animals (Literally killed a bear which should be stronger than a wolf alone, and have you seen his SIZE and SHAPE?) and manage to imitate Little Red Riding Hood to kill the grandmother, It just gives me the creeps.
This isn't the first time I've seen an analogue horror video about a fairy tale (like The Ugly Duckling and Alice in Wonderland), but I manage to feel terrified and I love it.

Making analog horror out of fairytales is such a great way to go about it, especially since one thing analog horror already relies on is turning nostalgia into danger. Fairytales provide an easy base for the story so more can be dedicated to giving it the horror flair and because they're, yk, common fairytales, you already recognize the characters and what's going on. Plus, for specific stories like little red riding hood, it's really fitting to insert horror into it because that's likely how it'd feel from little red's perspective. The surreality of most fairytales (and also how brutal most of them originally are) allows for a lot of creative expression to be done without having to risk creating a story no one likes, that stage is done for you
Well I know this was scary but the fact 1 duck could take out 6 swans with his wings was insane. I’m talking about the ugly duckling analog horror where a duckling is bullied by the other cygnets about his look so when they grow up the duck was not there so when the swans go out to continue the mother swan’s bloodline the duckling stopped them by massacring them and stripping them of their feathers so when the mother swan goes to see how her kids are doing she only saw the duckling and man the jumpscare of the duck was scary it gave me goosebumps

I think the Wolf is the Woodsman, I'm not saying this because he's usually there to save them. I'm saying this because predators never waste food, yes they play with them but never kill for no reason. There's animals that look like regular animals while the Wolf is big and could be the size of a person.

That cut to Little Reds POV where we just see her walking alone in the woods, so good. Had chills running through my body. And the feeling of dread when she just stops and breathes, almost compelled to turn around but can't, so good. Really made me feel the dread she was going through, knowing what happens if she moves forward but unable to turn back.
Also I really love the idea that everyone speaks in text box so your devoid of "hearing them" and the only voices you hear is the wolf and the rabbits warning.
If I was her, I would just run in the woods as fast I can without bumping into anything or anyone (especially the wolf), go to her grandmothers house, give her the candy, and not go back to the house until daylight.
The Mom shoulda been wise enough to know it’s dangerous to be out after dark. The wise choice is to wait until morning to go to Grandmas or at least go escort her to grandmas and the two of them haft to spend the night there until daylight.

I actually like the horror theme of this. It’s Avery nice recreation of the original nursery rhyme and I like the scariness to it. I also think you’re the first to do an idea of this. I’d like to see you make more videos like this based on original nursery rhymes. Because I really like the horror vibes to this a lot.

I came after watching a video of daksikawa talking about this video, I particularly loved the designer, the tension is built gradually and immersively based on smaller details like facial expressions,colors, light and shadow instead of those cheap and boring jump scares, congratulations.
I was particularly afraid of this wolf because of the vibe of ab_$er and persecutor that he gives off right when he appears, the rest of his speech and actions only intensify the agony he emits.

As soon as TWF 3 ended..this style has kinda become the *fan* interpretation of the walten files.

Gotta say this is amazing. I love the flashlight 1st pov. I was looking for more horror after the return of pumpkin rabbit and it certainly delivered. The atmosphere is well done, as someone in the rural area the pitch black darkness outside was all too familiar. Wolf set off every "this guy is dangerous" sense in me, the moment I saw him on screen I knew there was no hope. My favorite might just be when grandma opened the door and you see his eyes and teeth slowly light up, for me it was as if waiting for a bomb to go off.

I’ve seen a bunch of comments asking how to pull off the Walten Files-esque style. I don’t have a solid method, but I think I have some decent tips:
1- Simple, almost doll-like designs for non-antagonist characters.
2- Contrast of bright, pleasant colors of “good guys” and peaceful scenes against grungy, drained color schemes for creepy scenes and characters.
3- Exaggerated features to create a sense of unease. (Long, almost gaunt face. Gangly limbs. Eyes that are too small/large and too detailed for comfort. Basically any contrasting features that fall into the uncanny valley.
Experiment with it and see what works!

This wolf is in fact not a normal wolf, the way the dead animals at the beginning spoke makes me think that they are souls killed by the "wolf" warning everyone to pass by, but I can't be sure since little hat called them animals dead. Another point are the paintings on grandma's wall at minute 8:39, I couldn't ignore them, like that silhouette of a person in the painting, who is that person and what is they? in fact, grandma probably knew something but I'm not sure, because she said "don't come here". and why would a "normal wolf" be dressed in human clothes? and why is a "normal wolf" literally the size of a house? What's in my head is that it wasn't a wolf, but a human being or an unknown creature, with humanoid shapes, apart from the fact that the wolf speaks. I gave my points, who is that person in the painting? What is that "wolf"? Are those animals souls?
My theory is grandma had a husband but the grandfather was secretly a werewolf so at night his pants never tore but it became permanent. The grandfather was in pain when turning into the wolf and he could be a European werewolf as those were the size of a house and could easily maul you to death so this is the story. Grandma and grandpa were having a great time as their pure bloodline was continuing greatly but things took a turn for the worst as one night the grandpa was having sharp pain when taking a walk outside and started transforming into a European werewolf and his pants did not tear but this was permanent. The grandpa as a European werewolf knew nothing but bloodshed and death so day by day the grandpa tore and mauled every forest creature. One night the grandpa spotted a girl with a basket of candies and a red hood walking so he took a deceiving look and went to the girl asking her where she was going but when the girl said she should not talk to strangers the deceiving look wore off and he heard that the girl was heading to grandma’s house so he said this ‘I Will Take Care Of Grandma.Trust Me.Trust.Me’ and the grandpa ran off to grandma’s house when he knocked on the door he imitated the voice of the girl saying it was her. When the grandma opened the door and the grandpa struck taking the life of the grandma and taunted the girl. As the girl went into grandma’s house the grandpa stared at her before running to another window where the grandma’s corpse lay and opened it jumping in and then closing it. As the girl went into the room the grandpa said to come closer and the girl found nothing but grandma’s corpse before the grandpa appeared behind the corpse and said ‘Your Grandma Is Gone. Now It’s ŶØŲⱤ ƮŲⱤṈ!’ Before killing the girl as well soon he went to the house of the girl to end the pure bloodline by finishing off the mother. The end

I remember a similar analog horror-esque interpretation of Little Red Riding Hood.
It was done by Justin G. called Rotkäppchen which I never found after it's initial release. But there is a key difference between these two.
This new interpretation is leagues better written and better laid out than the og.
Where do I begin?
Well the original wanted to present the wolf as "a threat" but not the main threat of the story but they gave this dude an overdose of what this wolf does & expects us to be treat this wolf like he's any old woodland critter. Not here though. I haven't even finished the video & I'm already horrified to find out what thing mangled the animals
Secondly. It plays with my previous expectations
For years on end. Most scenes like woodland bodies would always end simply with main character seeing the bodies and not much else unless it's part of the climax. I was completely expecting that to be the case! *NOPE* One of the bodies talks to little red giving her a major heads up to run back!.
If you could make a series with this TWF 3-esque style. Hopefully this subvertion of expectations is used as right as it did here & Hopefully the style will be used for something non animatronic related. We've seen this style used a lot in that

Ok so I have this idea based off this. What if he makes more installments based off fairytales, but instead of that tale’s villain killing the main character, it’s the wolf. Like for example, if he makes a Pinocchio vhs, instead of the coachman it could be the wolf, almost as if this wolf is a demonic entity that corrupts different fairytales! I also have this idea for what if this is leading up to a fan game which takes place in a fairly tale themed theme park, but instead of animatronics, it’s shadowy entities that take the form of famous fairly tale characters! Possessed by the park owners child.
