Developed and published by EA, Army of Two was released for Xbox 360 in March, 2008. Army of Two is a game you should play with a friend. It won't take you very long to complete but the action is hectic and intense.

This game is not mind blowing or anything, but it's a really fun coop game for sure. I love the dialog because you can tell the team had fun writing it

the weapon customization and aggro meter were pretty sweet, i like how all of the guns had a slow but bassy firing sound

I’m sorry but in 2008 this game was epic. The Devision took a lot from this years later but no one talks about it

I played the first two games with my Dad when I was younger and those are really happy memories.
Daredevil 1.5 That’s awesome. My son and I have some good co-op memories but never played this one together. Maybe I’ll break it out since he’s home for the summer.
Same. I remember when my dad bought me AOT and we beat it together then when the 40th day came out we rented it from gamefly and beat that together. So many good memories

Man, I seriously miss couch Co-Op games like this, Army of Two is a real gem of the bargain bin. I'll never forget the game informer review calling it below average.

Jgamer930 didn’t care for The Devils Cartel. Loved the 40th day. It wasn’t great story wise at all, but god damn the gameplay was soooo good. It was just so satisfying killing so many enemies over and over again.
Devils Cartel is the shiznit! I still play it from time to time.

I actually really enjoyed the voice acting for Rios and Salem. I thought they brought a nice bit of personality to the characters.
I did the localisation for the South American release of the game and my voice acting was much much worse than the English version.
There are 2 more games if you want to review them. Great review btw

One of my favorite games purely from the times spent with my older brother, felt like this game was made for us. Add in satisfying kills and cool personalization and we had endless fun.
A friend and I played through this during a sleepover many years ago. We had an absolute blast. Definitely worth it for the co-op.

This one time I decided to play RE5 multi with a rando........on Steam and we finished the entire game. That's f'ing teamwork.

Quite a coincidence both 1st entries take place across varied locations then both sequels take place strictly in Shanghai. Righteous tho, I'm a big fan of both.
The Kane & Lynch games are absolute trash.
This series is like if Kane and Lynch wasn't absolute dogshit.

Absolutely loved the co-op in this game!
I rented Army of Two back in the day and had fun with it. Years later, I found a copy for dirt cheap at a Goodwill’s and now I finally own it. Really like it as an 80’s action movie type shooter. Over the top and goofy, but fun because of it.
I love the third game, "The Devil's Cartel"...my favorite in the series! Nice review, dude!

@@rickyslick1575 Should be on PSN store or Xbox live store, theres a free DLC that was sponsored by some vehicle company that adds 2-3 new missions which the final mission is an alternative ending to the game.
Nice, TDC was my favorite, despite it not having much Salem and Rios. That's probably why i loved the story so much, it got dark and suprised me in the end. Also, more customization and kickass masks. Nice review, looking forward to seeing what you guys think of the others. ✌
You nailed the essence of the game well, fantastic footage & comprehensive commentary! I own & have enjoyed all 3 in the series, only playing them solo, I love the mechanics & style of this unique action shooter. I would really savor your review of all 3 games in the franchise my friend.

When it was on the live was lit af. I remeber having so many clutch games wit my cousin. It was badass feeling like 2v2 co op pvp

Anyway i really miss this AA games that was so common previous gens.
my good friend and I played through this game probably close to 20 times. We had a lot of fun with it, though maybe not for the reasons most would. It surprised me to hear you say you didn't encounter any bugs, because we would see some new kind of bug almost every time we'd play it. Whether it was as simple as a wonky ragdoll, or parts of the missions failing to trigger, or the dead enemies that are actually alive and doing a kind of weird guppy thing with their mouths... Whatever the bug was, or whether or not it was game breaking, they were all hilarious. We'd constantly be laughing at either the poor writing and acting, or some of the truly absurd design choices made, or the ineptitude of the execution of said choices, or some kind of bug. It was a damn good time, and Army of Two, in many ways perfectly inhabits the "so bad its good" category.
I was just thinking of this game when I saw it on my shelf the other day, then your vid popped up in my recommended, so weird.

"Back to back Mechanic" Needs more love than 4 secounds!
I'd love to see this made as a looter shooter with the option to play solo, like if you have lots of agro you become a tank with bullet time for a while, or if stealthy you become invisible. or grab someone from an LFG app or something lol

Loved playing the cartel one, wasn’t particularly a amazing game but playing through it on co-op was extremely fun, even if we weren’t allowed to play an R18+ game

The Devil's Cartel is the best Coop game i've ever played. Gotta check this one out as well.
The online servers for this were shut down in like, 2011 or something. Since you can only play this coop locally now, the single player is the only other option. Was thinking of actually installing this on Xbone since its in the EA Access program.

Had a blast playing this with the girlfriend a few years ago. It was so much fun because we have differing playstyles and it worked out well in a game like this.

Loved this game, and honestly loved the sequels too.
This was one of the coolest games I’ve played back then but sadly the sequels weren’t the same

damn what a throwback me and my brother played the shit out of this game when it first came out
I found it an enjoyable game to play overall. Some issues I thought were close quarters mechanics seemed a little wonky. There is no aiming down sights really and sometimes your partner will just drag you around getting shot and great miracles occur as you survive lol. Only 1 of those 3 borders on a major flaw because you cannot really fix the close quarters gameplay where your guy constantly wants to change his shooting position. Aim down sights is not totally necessary, and you can always turn up difficulty or restart at a checkpoint if you think your gameplay sucked so bad you didn't deserve to survive. Like the dude said, overall...its a pretty fun experience.
My first multiplayer game on PS3, I had great time with it.
Back when Army of Two first came out, me and my college roommates, suitemates, were all way too into Halo 3 to really care. I didn't even think Army of Two was on my radar in 2008. My college suitemates would sneak into my room while I wasn't there and play Halo 3 without my permission, on my Xbox, but more importantly, they would look at my DVD collection. I had like 215 DVDs in alphabetical order and they would play a cruel joke where they would move two random titles in different places and see how long it would take me to notice. Yeah, I know that says a lot more about me then it does about them, but I could tell every time that was the joke. I would just scan briefly over my DVDs everyday and see if they had taken one was usually the issue wasn't-I wasn't checking to see if they put them out of order, I was checking because they would turn up MISSING. And then I would track them down and find someone across the hallway who borrowed one without asking and what do you know! The DVD is missing from inside of its jewel case! Where did it go? No one knows. Oh I found it, it's in two pieces now. No, I'm not still angry about that.
shoutout to anyone who saved all of their currency to get the grenade launcher which only had 3 shells.
Legit the worst feeling i've ever had in a co-op game, as my buddy had played a series of different fun guns, but i chose to stuck to default to get that sweet sweet launcher..

This game is rated like 3/5 stars on the Microsoft store but I remember really enjoying this game with my friend as a kid
This game glitches on me and my friend a few months ago on the part when your in the water..some building we were suppose to go in wouldn’t open but if you stand back it looked to be open already lol..good game I just quit didn’t matter how many times I restarted the game it glitched

Bobert Daniels I absolutely feel you on that one brother, fast forward 2019 I’m rich and purchased over 200 games ultimate edition all DLCs in 2018 alone. Things get better with time. Now just don’t have the time to play them all lol.

The first and second games have the greatest, and I mean this in full seriousness, the best AI I've ever seen for an allied NPC, especially for the 40th day. I'm often competing with the bot in trying to get more kills and it'll often come down to the last couple enemies to make the difference, I've often been beat out by the bot too. It's insane just how useful the AI is in doing their job, to the point you can rely on them to do their fucking job unlike the AI for most games
This is game is just fun it was the first game my pap learned to play and loved it.
It's only £1 at my local game shop. Lol, I might take a gamble!
