The Myth (& Truth) of Selfless Love

Today's video is centred around selfless love - whether it is actually a reality or just a paradox & a misnomer. Spoiler Alert - I am on the side of the latter, but do check out the video to know WHY.
This is a short clip from a recent Ask a Human, Not an AI video, where I answer a very personal question asked to me anonymously by one of the channel's subscribers. The questioner wants to improve her relationship with her parents, specifically her mother, and wants advice on how to love selflessly. Now that is one deep question, isn't it?
I share a four-part response to her question, and I feel that it covers dynamics of all relationships, not just a parent-child relationship or a romantic relationship or a professional relationship, etc. The relationship advice that I end up giving in this video is specific enough to apply to the questioner's meditations on how to make her parents happy but also generic enough to apply to countless manifestations of relationships in our lives that require us to act out true love.

Honestly, to be able to love someone selflessly seems to me to be a misnomer of sorts, and I talk about this too in the video. Well, enough chit chat, let's leave some for the video.
