- This is a how to video showing how you can change your basic air vents in your Audi TT MK3 8S to the Digital Vents.
They don’t work exactly how they should but everything will work just in a slightly different way.
I will follow up with a video of how to reconfigure them to work how they should.

Glad someone has tried this as I’ve thought about it but I couldn’t live with the complications 😅 the seat ones are easy swap, maybe some company can make tinted see through covers for centre ones to match 🤷🏻♂️ or someone will probably code it in the future 😊
Yeah it all works fine as you get used to it but its a tad annoying on the direction selector (4th one along) but it looked good. Someone has created a hack now so its possible with a bit of fiddling. 🙂

Mate I want to do that! It looks so much better! I think I could live with not knowing where it's set as the markings are pretty terrible on the standard ones anyway!

Nicely done mate 👍🏼, I will say if your original vents are cosmetically better you can swap over the centre displays quite easily... Once the vent unit is removed the centres are only held in place by a L shaped pin 📍 with a small plastic ball to grab hold of.
They are actually fine, they look pretty good to be honest so no need. Now to getting them to work correctly is the next step.
@@ITSARAPPTTRS could possibly consider seeing if the vent rigs can be removed easily enough, either hydrodip or paint them ....mine are red and lifts the look amongst a sea of grey/black.

Hey mate, know this is an old video now but I intend to get a Mk3 Quattro soon without the tech pack. I plan to install the updated sound system, nav and dials myself, but I’m not sure on the heated seats.
The Tt in this video didn’t appear to have the tech pack (as you needed to updated the dials) but mentioned having heated seats. Do they come standard then or is it still only with the tech pack ?
Hey, so I didn’t have the tech pack but had the super sports seats upgrade which automatically comes with heated seats.

They do look so much better don't they, I had them in mine a couple of years back but sold them on as couldn't get used to the operation . I was hoping someone may crack the coding,eventually. Not as climate retrofit but using the digital buttons as a manual set up , did you sort the b and o lighting ?
I think I may have someone with the fix who will help me configure them correctly. Also I may have a fix for the b&o lighting too. Watch this space

I've been doing alot if these mods to mine over the last few years , but wouldn't know where to begin with your great channel .,so it's nice to see , I did a complete door, puddle and centre console ambient lighting retrofit, that would make a great addition to your channel I couldn't find anything on here,

@@ITSARAPPTTRS I hope so , I've read a thread with a guy saying to change the hvac module to part ending 043 .
Also when I had mine every now and again the fan switch stopped working .
I also installed the max air switch to see if it changed anything, but no luck

I don’t unfortunately, I have since upgraded to a TTRS with the digital dials so no need for me to dig deeper into this now.

I wouldn’t be able to live with the fact that they don’t work correctly….. it would just drive me nuts. Have you checked with the guy who set up your TTS dash configuration to see if he can do some coding magic to fix the issue?? 🤔
Its more of a wiring issue but someone has a fix so i will update everyone on this once its done and do a video for you all.

Hey man, just look out on ebay and see what you can find. They go for £100-120 normally

I sold them on as I have a new car but the guy is an electrician so will be making them work

My car have a digital dials and I don't like them. You need to spend your attention to understand their status and direction. In your case you can understand this tactile.
You original variant is better in my optnion
Ive sold the car now and upgraded to a TTRS with the digital dials already installed as standard. Still prefer them but thankfully they work better.
