    Hi Kirby, I lived in Malaysia & owned a TT Mk3 (same Daytona Grey as yours ☺) and your video have inspired me recently to "take the plunge" just earlier today at my local exhaust shop. And so far I have not regretted a single bit, the exhaust note is marvellous! 😆 I used a 2.5" SUS pipe to match with the OEM size. I leave my drive select mode in "Dynamic", the other valve is permanently opened and overall the exhaust note sounds much better. It's not too loud inside the cabin too.

  • @bst857
    @bst857 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You can control the exhaust valve on the TT really easily. It opens and closes based off whether one of the pins is connected to ground or not. So basically you have 3 pins in the plug, two are for the power (+ and -), and the middle one is the signal cable. All you have to do is divert that signal cable to your own cable which goes to ground with a switch in between. Then you can switch the valve on and off whenever you like.

    Immediately after buying my 2022 tts, I had the large “ suitcase” muffler in the rear of the car and had some black stainless tips to match the black optic package I’d ordered for the car. I regretted it as soon as it was complete. Sure it sounded great under throttle, but that drone😬. Traded it for my 2021 TRRS, going to leave the exhaust stock on this one. Lovely color on your TT👍

    Sounds better for sure, I'm not that knowledgeable on Audi's but you may be able to pick up a used performance Exhaust system for the TTS (it may be a standard part on the TTS ? ) that may fit yours ?
    Obviously it would be a great option if the TTS exhaust system is of a "high flow" configuration, bigger bore exhaust & better flowing & designed exhaust manifold etc. Just a idea 💡 😉

    Isn't the resonator there for an engine breathing reason? At particular revs, the resonator basically helps keep the incoming charge (air fuel) from beginning to exit into the exhaust when valve timing overlap is happening, a bit like how an expansion pipe resonates on a two stroke engine.

    • @photosbycharles9880
      @photosbycharles9880 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No just to mute noise.

    • @MtechGarage
      @MtechGarage 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A resonator delete can also reduce your engine efficiency. It affects the back pressure of the exhaust gases, which may amount to more fuel consumption. So, a resonator delete can give your vehicle a slight increase in horsepower.

    • @yodab.at1746
      @yodab.at1746 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MtechGarage hang on, surely a less efficient engine will produce less bhp for the same amount of fuel being burnt. Back pressure at the right time would increase efficiency. Valve timing overlap is the same regardless of engine rpm, whereas exhaust tune (frequency) varies over rev range.
