"You step outside, you risk your life. You take a drink of water, you risk your life. And nowadays you breathe and you risk your life. Every moment now, you don't have choice. The only thing you can choose is what your risking for." -Hershel Green
Scenes like this prove that The Walking Dead is so much more than just some zombie action show. It's a show about the human condition set to a background of zombies.
Rewatching this from the beginning with my fiance. This really hit home seeing this a few minutes ago. I wish I had this Psalm at the ready during my divorce, so much of it speaks true.
Hershel was the most complex character of walking dead and even the most iconic character in the history of television, iam saying this because he knew his morals and ethics / values and he never let his faith in god fall even for a second. We see this kind of characters very rare now a days. That Conservative tone is what made Hershel an iconic badass.
What makes Hershel's reading extra special is this verse is actually in the Bible unlike Ezekial 25:17 which had much of its text made up for Pulp Fiction.
JenkemThug4Life yes.. and it just is you have to have watched the show and to see how attached you become to the characters and how much hell they went thru to understand, and if you have seen it all and you have a heart and this doesn't touch your heart well idk
+trollardo ......and just how are you gonna die ?.......cause you are, you will. Cause it is appointed for each man to die. I did not hear decapitation mentioned in the psalm.

Listen to these cherished words...because dark, stormy days are coming. Take comfort in God's grace.
Amen to that. Praise be god, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
@@espadafive302God*, remember to capitalize G, friendly reminder :), but Amen :D

Yes
Death is a gift, you get to be with the Living One. Everyone should make sure they're ready.
Thanks for the upload. This scene was so beautiful and powerful, only wish there was a video to go along with the audio.
RIP Hershel
R.I.P.
the prayer dont works, Hershel was decapited.

And ? The prophets mentioned in the bible had more gruesome deaths
@@Hanak-EL that's actually a pretty good point. The idea that the Bible teaches you'll always have a nice happy life is unfound within it's texts.
@@anunknownentity1637 yeah. All the prophets and apostles suffered greatly
You probably don't believe in martyrdom
