I know this cause I was there brother, no matter how big I got it was never enough, and putting others salvation down will not make you feel any better, you’ll just feel superior for a little while, until you’re alone with your thought again. I have a vascular necrosis in my femur bones and haven't been walking well for the last year. I cried my heart out watching this. And I made an about face totally changed my life in big ways. In the last 10 years I quit drugs, in the last year I have quit alcohol, I was a functioning alcoholic, I quit smoking cigarettes, 2 packs a day. I quit drinking 2 16 ounce redbulls a day. I've quit cursing. I slip up on that every now and then but I'm trying. I picked up my Bible and read it. And I pray many times each day now. And my pain isn't totally gone but it's more tolerable. Im walking without my cane now. Life is good and I am happy for the first time in a very very very long time!!!!

The pool can symbolize all the "good things" in life: Career, marriage, money, social circle, even charity. We are like the invalids. The world promises us the pool can give us fulfillment and solve our problems, but the truth is that Jesus is the only source of healing and salvation from sins

I stayed strong BC after so long of trying to go to anything else but god they all failed me so I held on to god as the reason let me skip to now and say I started off faithless now I'm so faithful in god I started off worried for my future now I know its something gods gonna handle I'm not feeling depressed anymore the whole year of 2022 was hard but with god I made it threw! Now I learned so much and love my relationship with god I know he loves and cares for me AND HE LOVES AND CARES FOR YOU TOO! Anyway, even if an itinerant preacher named Jesus (or rather, Yeshua) DID exist, that in no way proves that he performed "miracles" of any kind; the gospels were written almost a century later at minimum, and in an era when the vast majority of people were illiterate, history becomes a protracted game of "Chinese whispers" wherein ordinary men become superhuman heroes after only a few years of gossip. Perfect message for the suffering addict. Follow Jesus. If you're struggling with how to stop I encourage you to try AA. God is here for the broken and the sick. He will heal you if you take that first step of faith. You are worth it even if you don't believe it.
I watched this again and the words from Jesse, “I have no one to help me into the pool when it’s stirred up, and when I do get close, the others step down in front of me.” Those words stick to me, but it’s regarding an entirely different matter. Not about being paralyzed and wanting to be healed from that.
I was a teenage drug addict and couldn't care about anyone else or myself. Jesus pulled me out of the pits of hell and dragged me into the light so hard I still have whiplash. I am now a parent of 3 children, spouse, and an ordained minister. Praise The Lord

As a Jewish I don’t believe Jesus was much of anything, really. All those stories of him doing supernatural stuff was written 100 years after he died. People alive at the time never mentioned any of it, and for the most part, weren’t even aware of him. He was just one of many itinerant street preachers wandering around Judea at that time preaching end-times messages

The healing at pool of Bethesda hasn’t been every portrayed in a representation of the the Gospels. John 5:1 has always been a great inspiration for me when reading the Bible. It seems ironic but many people start turning to religion in their early thirties wherever they are in life in terms of career, relationships, family planning and marriage.
If anyone reads this your not alone and you are loved. When the whole world persecutes you remember you are not alone. Do be tempted by fear, shut those feelings look to Christ. I have epilepsy and autism and have been suffering so long like this man. Christ came into my life. Death does not scare me because christ will be with me everyone who believes in him and guide them. Everyone talks about the actor who portrays Jesus in this series, who's really good, but the actor they chose for the invalid in this scene is amazing... the pain, anguish, yet wonder, and questioning he has on his face throughout it's just awesome because it shows all the emotions he's going through in about a minute and a half to 2 minutes span!!

I love the actors portrayal as well but I can't help but feel they chose someone too tall and handsome to portray Jesus as it's contradictory to what the Bible tells us about his outward appearance being unimpressive. Still I understand why they chose this superb actor.

I have so many favorites. One is as great as the other. Healing the mans broken leg and reading from the first chapter of Genesis while John watches as tears run down his eye while going back to the future where John writes the first verses of chapter one of the Gospel of John. I cry and cry at all Jesus’ miracles.

I cry too! Every time! I was at the pool of Bethesda in January 2023, I told our awesome tour guide how awesome the scene was from the chosen , and how it made me so emotional! She had no reaction. 5-10 minutes later she ask me to come forward hands me the microphone to share about this scene.

I would like to meet Jesus one day and give him a big hug him and thank him for being so good to me even though I don't deserve it! Jesus is the only constant in my life! Everybody in my life lied and left me,but God and his son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit have always been there for me in my darkest hours! Praise the Lord!! All glory to God!!!

This scene cut to my soul , Gods words truly are sharper than any two edge sword , I’ve been in active addiction for so long , I’ve lied and hurt my family , my kids . I found God then fell away and let the wicked one snatch my desire away . This scene is me in a nutshell, making excuses for why I got high . Jesus is so amazing , his comfort is unmistakable… this world is dark and hates all that is right . Please pray for me .
One of my most favorite scenes. This touched me to my core, as I was that man. I had been suffering the effects of the trauma from severe abuse I experienced in childhood that went on until I was 18.I am now 69 years old. I had made attempts to overcome it with therapy, medication, and alcohol abuse. As I watched this scene, hearing Jesus repeat "do you want to be well" I realized I had not truly wanted to get well. I had so much buried guilt and shame I thought I did not deserve to be healed. Also, I was thinking that someone else was going to "fix me", when all along it was Jesus I needed. The Chosen series is one of the main things that helped me realize this and I since turned back to the Lord after wondering around in a spiritual dessert most my life. Now I feel as Mary when she said, "I once was different but am no longer the same" (not sure of exact words)
Everyone needs more than their salary to be financial stable. The best thing to do with your money is to invest it rightly, because money left for saving always end up used with no returns.
Jonathan deserves every acting award in the business. When he speaks it touches your heart like Jesus was speaking directly to you. Sometimes it hurts and sometimes it fills you with so much joy that you cry. God bless you Jonathan, and God bless you Dallas and the entire Chosen crew.
He is my second favorite portrayal of Jesus on screen. My first being Jim Caviezel in The Passion Of The Christ. It’s a challenge for any actor to embody and portray that flawless, selfless, and loving nature of Jesus, and Jonathan Roumie did an amazing job.

In general I'm not a very religious person (because of bad events and trauma my relationship with God is very rocky), but seeing this video gave me a deep feeling of comfort and happiness, hearing the words spoken between the two and seeing the possibility for a new beginning. It hit hard especially because I'm going through a really hard time right now, and something about this video just gave me the strength to keep going because I feel something coming for me. Something good.
God never gives you more than you can handle. He gives you the strength for the turbulent times. Many claim that God is with them because they live with little to no problems. That’s not when God comes through. God comes through when you are in a hardship like you’re having or the blind man by the pool. Please continue to believe. Please attend a church of your choosing and listen to the word. God is always there for you. Try and live the Word. You won’t be disappointed. I was once a know it all college student. I thought I knew the answers to everything without God. I blamed God for everything. Now I’m a practicing Catholic married to another amazing practicing Catholic and we have 2 kids. A good life is not easy to attain but if you put in the work, you can get it.
You know what, even Jesus was temped but he never gave up. Sometimes thing really go bad on you to test your faith but if you keep that faith, obviously things will come to huraaayyyyyy so don’t turn away from God be a of hardships. When the first man sinned God stepped behind and gave us a free will but the problem is when God stepped back chaos erupted to the world. And guess what, if God gives us everything we need, no one will still worship him, we as human will say “ I have everything I need in life, why should I worship?” And that is why becoming a Christian will require a strong faith. I love when Jesus gets as excited for a person who gets healed by the miracle Jesus himself performed. We always look at Jesus as a greater being but “The Chosen” reminds us that he is also human. This series does a great job of humanizing Christ, we see his fear, excitement, joy and share his pain and disappointment. Yes, he was sent down to give us a second chance but when he breaks into a sweat, sheds a tear or simply smiles, we are reminded that not only is he our savior, he is also a beautiful human being. I really like this series and what they have done with it.

I also cried. and please let me agree with Joey. The pool can mean money, "success," a job, or a better job, a house, a relationship, a medical treatment, a trip, a prosperous business, etc. and we think we will find "what we are looking for"! ....if we reach that. And sometimes we complain and suffer when the system or others don't allow us to reach "the pool." However, deep inside, we know that the plentiness of fulfilling happiness is not there. Jesus, who shows us the way of unlimited and unconditional LOVE, and FORGIVENESS! is the ONLY we need! Once we wake up and realize that we are ONE, UNITED as brothers and sisters by the Love of God through Jesus, we will understand that our individuality just makes real sense by recognizing others as part of us, and loving each other is in our essence, in our spiritual nature!. There is where we will find the plentiness of fulfilling and eternal happiness. By loving and forgiving and helping each other with genuine empathy. Jesus is alive, here, today, with us, showing us the way! Let us stand up... and embrace the real LOVE that Jesus demonstrated (Father forgive them, they do not know what they are doing), let's get rid of hate, resentments, fears, insecurities, blaming others, etc. and ...our souls will heal. Then our emotions, minds, our biochemistry, physiology, and sometimes our bodies will regain balance and health. Or at least we can find inner peace and acceptance after having done ALL we can, and more. Fighting the good fight with peace and faith. Forgive ALL, tolerate ALL, and let us embrace compassion, empathy, and unconditional love, becoming also accountable of our behavior, and working smart and hard, with discipline and ethics to evolve toward the best version of ourselves. Like the parabole of the talents. Jesus shows us the way to become those who understand all and forgive all. Jesus' last words were of forgiveness toward those who betrayed him, tortured, humiliated, and ended up killing him with hate. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to grant us the capacity of offering others our extreme and unconditional love, even to those who hate us, as our enemies. As Jesus showed us. All we need is HIM. we do not need to reach that pool!! We can enjoy an unlimited OCEAN of infinite and eternal love with our brothers and sisters all around the world. From all backgrounds, colors, races, languages, espiritual beliefs, or other religions, etc. The LOVE of Jesus goes beyond religions. It united all of us. Because the Love of God, as shown by JESUS, is UNIVERSAL!! TO ALL. i love you all! Luis

Although this will sound a silly observation. This scene helped me realize why Jesus spent all his time with the poor. The rich have (less) doubts, less fears, less pain, less need. The poor are more likely to be broken. The God who created all things - just think of it. The heavens and the earth. The animals. The humans. The beauty. He sent himself in human form to earth and spent the whole time with the least among us. He witnessed their pains. Their suffering all the while he himself was experiencing human temptations. And after doing all this truly good work, we humans killed him. We murdered him in the most brutal of ways. Only for him to return, resurrected, and when he approached us humans they were frightened. And what did he do? He said he comes in peace. Shalom. I would desire to serve no other Lord.

I have seen a lot of movies depicting Jesus but this actor Jonathan Roumie looks like what i think my Savior would have looked like. This man was born to play this role. His voice is soft and sweet. Its lovely to listen to. Im telling you he was born for this and i am so grateful to Abba for this series. I give thanks everytime i look st it which is almost everyday.

This is my favourite part from Chosen so far💟, and by my humble opinion the strongest. Jonathan Roumie played this part amazingly 💟 It's like Jesus is looking at and speaking to us (everyone who suffered in this life for different reasons) in person, like he is looking through our minds and touches our souls. I cry every time I watch this scene.

I think my favorite part in the scene is when Jesus goes to talk to the man. And the man just says “Me?” Like he’s shocked that anyone would take any amount of time or care in talking to him, let alone God himself. I love how this series highlights how Jesus always zeroes in on the people who are the most broken and loves them.
My favorite 2 words that Jesus uses over and over in this series (and in scripture)..."I know"... just always get to me. They have such truth and weight and meaning behind them. Every impactful scene, those 2 words are there.
"Do you want to be healed?" This line was absolutely perfect. Jesus's words always cut straight to the point. The only thing standing in the way of our healing is ourselves. The choice was never taken from us.
My heart cried when the man said “ I tried! “ God replied, for a long time I know, and you don’t want false hope .The specific words hit me hard because I know exactly what the man is going through. It’s a struggle. I’ve been waiting for years for a partner, believing that I’ll find someone. In the end, my tears stop when Jesus said look at me. I’ll leave my struggles in gods hands. I’m blessed God thank you.

I have a vascular necrosis in my femur bones and haven't been walking well for the last year. I cried my heart out watching this. And I made an about face totally changed my life in big ways. In the last 10 years I quit drugs, in the last year I have quit alcohol, I was a functioning alcoholic, I quit smoking cigarettes, 2 packs a day. I quit drinking 2 16 ounce redbulls a day. I've quit cursing. I slip up on that every now and then but I'm trying. I picked up my Bible and read it. And I pray many times each day now. And my pain isn't totally gone but it's more tolerable. Im walking without my cane now. Life is good and I am happy for the first time in a very very very long time!!!!

The healing at pool of Bethesda hasn’t been every portrayed in a representation of the the Gospels. John 5:1 has always been a great inspiration for me when reading the Bible. It seems ironic but many people start turning to religion in their early thirties wherever they are in life in terms of career, relationships, family planning and marriage.
If anyone reads this your not alone and you are loved. When the whole world persecutes you remember you are not alone. Do be tempted by fear, shut those feelings look to Christ. I have epilepsy and autism and have been suffering so long like this man. Christ came into my life. Death does not scare me because christ will be with me everyone who believes in him and guide them. Everyone talks about the actor who portrays Jesus in this series, who's really good, but the actor they chose for the invalid in this scene is amazing... the pain, anguish, yet wonder, and questioning he has on his face throughout it's just awesome because it shows all the emotions he's going through in about a minute and a half to 2 minutes span!!

One of my most favorite scenes. This touched me to my core, as I was that man. I had been suffering the effects of the trauma from severe abuse I experienced in childhood that went on until I was 18.I am now 69 years old. I had made attempts to overcome it with therapy, medication, and alcohol abuse. As I watched this scene, hearing Jesus repeat "do you want to be well" I realized I had not truly wanted to get well. I had so much buried guilt and shame I thought I did not deserve to be healed. Also, I was thinking that someone else was going to "fix me", when all along it was Jesus I needed. The Chosen series is one of the main things that helped me realize this and I since turned back to the Lord after wondering around in a spiritual dessert most my life. Now I feel as Mary when she said, "I once was different but am no longer the same" (not sure of exact words)

In general I'm not a very religious person (because of bad events and trauma my relationship with God is very rocky), but seeing this video gave me a deep feeling of comfort and happiness, hearing the words spoken between the two and seeing the possibility for a new beginning. It hit hard especially because I'm going through a really hard time right now, and something about this video just gave me the strength to keep going because I feel something coming for me. Something good.

God never gives you more than you can handle. He gives you the strength for the turbulent times. Many claim that God is with them because they live with little to no problems. That’s not when God comes through. God comes through when you are in a hardship like you’re having or the blind man by the pool. Please continue to believe. Please attend a church of your choosing and listen to the word. God is always there for you. Try and live the Word. You won’t be disappointed. I was once a know it all college student. I thought I knew the answers to everything without God. I blamed God for everything. Now I’m a practicing Catholic married to another amazing practicing Catholic and we have 2 kids. A good life is not easy to attain but if you put in the work, you can get it.
You know what, even Jesus was temped but he never gave up. Sometimes thing really go bad on you to test your faith but if you keep that faith, obviously things will come to huraaayyyyyy so don’t turn away from God be a of hardships. When the first man sinned God stepped behind and gave us a free will but the problem is when God stepped back chaos erupted to the world. And guess what, if God gives us everything we need, no one will still worship him, we as human will say “ I have everything I need in life, why should I worship?” And that is why becoming a Christian will require a strong faith. Majority of rich people no longer worship God, they are materialistic

I love when Jesus gets as excited for a person who gets healed by the miracle Jesus himself performed. We always look at Jesus as a greater being but “The Chosen” reminds us that he is also human. This series does a great job of humanizing Christ, we see his fear, excitement, joy and share his pain and disappointment. Yes, he was sent down to give us a second chance but when he breaks into a sweat, sheds a tear or simply smiles, we are reminded that not only is he our savior, he is also a beautiful human being. I really like this series and what they have done with it.
This is so powerful. To really be able to see Jesus personality come to life. Powerful.
I watched this again and the words from Jesse, “I have no one to help me into the pool when it’s stirred up, and when I do get close, the others step down in front of me.” Those words stick to me, but it’s regarding an entirely different matter. Not about being paralyzed and wanting to be healed from that.

The pool can mean money, "success," a job, or a better job, a house, a relationship, a medical treatment, a trip, a prosperous business, etc. and we think we will find "what we are looking for"! ....if we reach that. And sometimes we complain and suffer when the system or others don't allow us to reach "the pool."
However, deep inside, we know that the plentiness of fulfilling happiness is not there.
Jesus, who shows us the way of unlimited and unconditional LOVE, and FORGIVENESS! is the ONLY we need!
Once we wake up and realize that we are ONE, UNITED as brothers and sisters by the Love of God through Jesus, we will understand that our individuality just makes real sense by recognizing others as part of us, and loving each other is in our essence, in our spiritual nature!.
There is where we will find the plentiness of fulfilling and eternal happiness. By loving and forgiving and helping each other with genuine empathy.
Jesus is alive, here, today, with us, showing us the way!
Let us stand up... and embrace the real LOVE that Jesus demonstrated (Father forgive them, they do not know what they are doing), let's get rid of hate, resentments, fears, insecurities, blaming others, etc. and ...our souls will heal. Then our emotions, minds, our biochemistry, physiology, and sometimes our bodies will regain balance and health. Or at least we can find inner peace and acceptance after having done ALL we can, and more. Fighting the good fight with peace and faith.
Forgive ALL, tolerate ALL, and let us embrace compassion, empathy, and unconditional love, becoming also accountable of our behavior, and working smart and hard, with discipline and ethics to evolve toward the best version of ourselves. Like the parabole of the talents.
Jesus shows us the way to become those who understand all and forgive all. Jesus' last words were of forgiveness toward those who betrayed him, tortured, humiliated, and ended up killing him with hate.
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to grant us the capacity of offering others our extreme and unconditional love, even to those who hate us, as our enemies.
As Jesus showed us.
All we need is HIM.

We can enjoy an unlimited OCEAN of infinite and eternal love with our brothers and sisters all around the world. From all backgrounds, colors, races, languages, espiritual beliefs, or other religions, etc.
The LOVE of Jesus goes beyond religions. It united all of us.

This is the best series ever. I was skeptical at first. I didn’t know if it would be biblically accurate but every time Jesus speaks, it comes straight from the Word!!

Although this will sound a silly observation. This scene helped me realize why Jesus spent all his time with the poor. The rich have (less) doubts, less fears, less pain, less need. The poor are more likely to be broken. The God who created all things - just think of it. The heavens and the earth. The animals. The humans. The beauty. He sent himself in human form to earth and spent the whole time with the least among us. He witnessed their pains. Their suffering all the while he himself was experiencing human temptations. And after doing all this truly good work, we humans killed him. We murdered him in the most brutal of ways. Only for him to return, resurrected, and when he approached us humans they were frightened. And what did he do? He said he comes in peace. Shalom. I would desire to serve no other Lord.

I have seen a lot of movies depicting Jesus but this actor Jonathan Roumie looks like what i think my Savior would have looked like. This man was born to play this role. His voice is soft and sweet. Its lovely to listen to. Im telling you he was born for this and i am so grateful to Abba for this series. I give thanks everytime i look st it which is almost everyday.

This is my favourite part from Chosen so far💟, and by my humble opinion the strongest. Jonathan Roumie played this part amazingly 💟 It's like Jesus is looking at and speaking to us (everyone who suffered in this life for different reasons) in person, like he is looking through our minds and touches our souls. I think my favorite part in the scene is when Jesus goes to talk to the man. And the man just says “Me?” Like he’s shocked that anyone would take any amount of time or care in talking to him, let alone God himself. I love how this series highlights how Jesus always zeroes in on the people who are the most broken and loves them.

"Do you want to be healed?" This line was absolutely perfect. Jesus's words always cut straight to the point. The only thing standing in the way of our healing is ourselves. The choice was never taken from us.
This man describes my life of struggle. I had a miracle happen to me when I was kid alone and many health issues and he saved me.
My heart cried when the man said “ I tried! “ God replied, for a long time I know, and you don’t want false hope .The specific words hit me hard because I know exactly what the man is going through. It’s a struggle. I’ve been waiting for years for a partner, believing that I’ll find someone. In the end, my tears stop when Jesus said look at me. I’ll leave my struggles in gods hands. I’m blessed God thank you.
