Having spent much of the late 90s watching video rental horror movies that eventually blurred together, the "haven't I seen this before?" feeling is real. Also, now I have to see this just for that dialogue. That's amazing.
On one hand, the intelligent zombies/mutants thing is refreshing, cause I feel like not letting the infected be intelligent is part of why so many zombie movies feel copypasted, On the other hand, boy did this movie need a rewrite or two lol.

I first heard of this movie and the *THE NIGHTMARE BECOMES REALITY* reference from Phelous's review of this movie from 2010. 4:15- Or it's a Decepticon in disguise. This is similar to the opening sequence in Transformers (2007) where Blackout attacks the military base. 4:49- At least I had the lasagna. 7:42- This movie's tonal shifts are more awkward than the ones in the theatrical cut of Justice League. 15:43- Holy shit, it's Abby Normal! 21:52- (Cut to the Nostalgia Critic saying *MAN* with dramatic stinger music playing) 22:39- Thank you for that, Brad. Love this film. First saw it on a VHS double bill tape (VTC label?) with Alien Terror (Alien 2 - Sulla terra) such a shame the original elements got damaged.
This was one of those movies I watched here on TH-cam when they had free movies (without ads, I think). I watched it under its alternate title "City of the Walking Dead". Yeah, this definitely not one of the good Italian horror movies, but it does have its moments that make it worth watching. Not to mention the make-up effects on the mutants were decent enough.
WOW! It's pretty funny that you've never done this one. I just assumed you had. I can't honestly explain why I love this one so much, but I do. I own it on Blu-Ray, and I even own the soundtrack on vinyl. Just for sheer balls, best ending ever. LOL.
Were these atomic zombie mutants also responsible for killing the crew on the ship in Jurassic Park 2? I mean if they can get anywhere.. and it definitely wasn't the T-Rex..
