Don't remember the Norse name for it but they were showing a type of single combat that was used to resolve disputes. Lovely reaction and like these guys a lot. Pray to the Hunter from the Elder Scrolls is another fantastic song and video. Also love their cover of Electric Callboy's Hypa Hypa.
@Tauri Reacts Hey Tauri, you said you've heard their cover of Dragonborn Comes. Presumably that was the fabulous music video? Did you know they also did an amazing acoustic version of that song? Gorgeous vocal harmonies. Well worth checking out!
Hi Tauri - I wonder whether you will still read this after so long. Just wanted to tell you that Saltatio Mortis just released a new song in a collaboration with Blind Guardian. It's called "Finsterwacht", and yep, it's German - but the Video tells the story anyways. If you liked "My mother told me" (which I think you did) and "The Dragonborne comes", and mayhap even "Pray to the hunter" - I am quite sure this one will be right up your alley.
Its german Band so you can definitely see the germanic tribe influence on this. Norse and Germanic had the same gods basically depending on the region in Germany now. Some is a little celtic some more norse and some a mix and in the south its totally different. Somehow the huge Walhalla Monument is in southern Germany south :D
good, if you are into metal....I think the more traditional version by Alina Gingertail appeals more to me.....plus, she plays ALL the repro ancient instruments herself, as well as singing the vocal......just my opinion.........not a criticism..........
Creds to Egil Skallagrimsson for writing this fantastic lyric over 1000 years ago.

It's called a Holmgang that's used to settle an argument and in this case the one who would draw blood from the opponent first would win. 😉
I believe this video depicts what’s called a holmgang which is used to settle disputes between people within the same clan
The Singer Alea learn Old Islandic for this Song
That is extremely impressive. I'd been wondering what the language was.
Great Reaction ! Is My Favorite Band ! Please more ! Check Saltatio Mortis - Pray to the Hunter :)
