Interesting. My dad was a USGS agent on the milk river and I inherited his massive collection of agates. Many of them are dark, but some are light. He also got agates from little tributaries. Some of them are from north of the border.
Omgosh I’m dying laughing right now. The one agate your left cord, I said “did you just lick it” and right after you said “ I did just lick it” idk in my head it was funny. I spit on my finds. 😂 I rockhound while hunting. I probably pay more attention to the rocks then I do whatever I’m hunting. So much so our elk hunt in October my husband and son was ripping my butt for not elk hunting. Nice video thank you for sharing.
Great to see you again. I'd love to see more videos of cutting or collecting rocks. It's fun to see you with a nice saw. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I LOVE your posts! You are always so excited and positive. You find very "cool" rocks! Your videos make me feel happy knowing someone like you is out there hunting and loving every minute of it. I enjoy your family when they're along too! HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you and your family....and Kip too!
I found so many amazing agates while deer hunting this year. We were a couple miles from the river though, but still super amazing. It will be nice to go up there while the river is in runoff.
That agate was bigger in the saw than I thought it was when you picked it up. Great water line agate. It is amazing just how spread out the agates are from the river. Those are some of the best ones I've seen you find. Catch you in the New Year.
This was an amazing find whilst on a hunt. Love the rock cutter you have set up. Again im a Billings Local who enjoys the amazing world of rocks. I dont have any set up to cut nore polish my rocks and only have a 200$ tumbler. But we all start somewhere right lol. Great finds thanks for sharing
Why do you wear camo gear if you have to wear an orange vest while hunting? seems like a contradiction. Just asking as a non hunter. Love your channel.
Breakout floods from the yellowstone headwaters/watershed probably wouldnt have helped, either- all that water held back by glacial and volcanic detris, before something gave way and sent massive floods down river
If we were living back in the day, I think a lot of us rockhounds would starve to death. Everytime we would go hunting for food, a pretty rock would catch our eye, and it would be over. The game would just smile & wave as it strolled on by, wondering why we're hunched over just staring at the ground. Jk
Glad I'm not the only one who finds rocks while deer hunting
That's really cool. You're out hunting, but still check for rocks. That's a true rockhounder! Love it!!
What beautiful agates! The next question... did you get your deer? 😊
Fabulous winter water scenes on the slabs.❤
That waterline is wonderful.

Cool job for a rockhound, I'll bet he found a few projectile points as well
04:04 😂😂😂😂😂 Fellow rock licker here! Sometimes you just gotta

Hunting, fishing, disk golf is in nature. Rocks are found in nature. It's a win/ win.

You’re not in the mountains. You’re in the timbered breaks above the Yellowstone….
