Those are sooo cool looking Kurt... I'm guessing these are different from the Warring State Agates (mined in only one spot in China)? They frequently have the yellow to red to orange banding too, and also are sky-high price wise. Enjoyed the video of you cutting these 'Fighting Blood Agates'.👍👍
@@jayburkhart1781 so agates and Jasper are both a type of chalcedony. Normally agate is translucent where jasper is opaque. The yellow in this particular stone is agate. Normally when you see the two together it’s called s Jasp Agate. Chert/flint is Also part of the chalcedony family but made up of different minerals. Chert/Flint forms in limestone where Jasper and agates form In basalt.
