OMG! There is no picking favorites from this batch! They were all just super gorgeous! That druzy layer of super sparkle over fossilized, agatized, shells! I mean, how can you choose one!?! So gorgeous! This was such an amazing video! The finds were phenomenal, and it had Derek the rock master in it! That just made it perfect! Wait no, perfect would have been if Alexis and Derek were in it, but this is darn close! Lol! The chert is pretty fantastic when you have the beautiful fossilized shells in it! But when you have it agatized over the chert, or complete mineral replacement, that's amazing! And then that same mineral replaced layer turned to a layer of beautiful quartz crystal druzy in all the vugs within the rocks, it becomes extraordinary! And the one you found with all the beautiful fortification banding is certainly a standout of the days finds! But they are all super amazing! Man nature gets a huge standing ovation for this batch of gorgeous! Thanks Theo for sharing your treasures you found, and your time with Derek, so we could all enjoy his knowledge on the natural process of the geology of his home state. Thanks Derek, and Theo❣️
Right!? Such an amazing spot!!! We were hoping for calcite coral, definitely was not expecting so much other stuff! But the druzy was the thing that blew me away😂 so much druzy!!! Absolutely love that material!
Wish you could have took a chisel and hammer or something to get a chunk of 1:04 and maybe gotten out 2:17. That little agatized fossil would have looked cool polished. It looks like it would have held that star on the top, I dunno. I loved everything you showed thought. It was just a beautiful sparkle fest for the eyes.
I know!!! That's exactly what we were thinking too🤦 we went out expecting to surface collect calcite corals so we didn't bring like any tools, then the moment we got there we kept finding agates and druzy and were beating ourselves up for not grabbing a hammer or chisel😂 such unique rocks out there!
That was pretty much exactly my experience coming to Florida until I met Derek, id find some interesting things but nothing crazy, it's absolutely insane how many amazing spots Derek has in Florida, every time I talk to him he's discovered some new amazing thing I had no idea existed 😂 there is so much more in Florida than I ever knew
I never had much success with a good polish on some agates with druzy pockets because some of the crystals will come loose during the fine polish and put nasty scratches across the face. So I started putting a cornstarch slurry in the druzy pockets and putting it in the vacuum chamber until it hardened right before the last 2 stages. Then, I steam the cornstarch out of the druzy's and give it a quick spritz with oxalic acid and hit it with a detail brush, followed by a quick rinse with distilled water. Then, another shot with the steam wand. They come out a lot better.
So awesome!!! Can you give away the location? I have a friend who lives in Tampa! I bet she would love something like this! Thank you all for sharing your adventures! Watching videos like yours and the "Montana Rock Mom" are better than the television! Keep rocking out!💎💎💎😎👏
What a fantastic hounding trip!! Thanks for taking us along with you. I would have never known about the incredible agates residing on Florida beaches. That black druzy piece you found is beauty!
Wow that black druzy sparkle though! ✨️I will definitely have to look for Agates in Florida next time I visit. There are also rare black druzy pockets here in Missouri, near the Haunted Ridge area where you visited. I found a 1 gallon bucket full back in 2020.
This looks like fresh water and wondering what part of Florida you're at, since I live in SWFL and only Gulf Coast emerald green ocean. I'd love to know if this is Lake Okeechobee ?? Please share with us ( others on thread have also asked). Great finds!
Florida suprises again. Beautiful specimens all. You might want to dunk a couple in some muratic acic for a minute at a time. Great job to both of you!
I used to live in Florida and I would love to know roughly where some decent spots for agate and Fossil hunting are located because I'd love to do that with my siblings!
I like your channel but your close ups work is terrible, actually makes me feel queasy. You really need to do better, light changing, zooming in zooming out, side to side. Really sloppy. I get that is kinda your style but come on man.😉

Where in Florida were you finding these agates?
Dude! Awesome finds. I never find anything that cool down there. I have found some cool stuff but nothing like what you two found.

Derek, you found some rock there. I don't think I could cut it. But i'd def be running home to wash and clean it. Congrats

I need to hound that location. I've never found a Florida Agate of that quality.

The slab at 17:50 is my favorite!
Wow gorgeous
Would love to see you take a trip to Colorado tons and tons of unique minerals and gemstones

That little sand dollar looks like a mini flying saucer coming in to abduct that scallop shell 😂
Those forams are huge

Put em under a blacklight see if any of them glow
Where are you looking for rocks? My sister is a rock maniac and is stuck in Florida.
foram?, fouram?
Foram, short for Foraminifer, I believe. Google has a long definition. Type of sea shells.
Interesting hunt, liked to see how much different there is at other places. Thank you for the tour.
Look at this weirdo watching a bird spoon 😂

What's with the use of the words freaking and flipping? Well.... just a nice way of saying the other word that starts with an F. It's so over used. 😒
