One of our boys was getting sent over.. we all wished him well and the best as anyone would... when he got there he wanted confrontation.... but... his hummer was hit with an IED.. he lost good friends in that explosion but he was lucky to only loose a leg... He was brought back and helps other troops who lost a lot more... I respect all of our vets in this country and wish our government would do more for them than the bare minimum.... god bless our soldiers!!!
This is my worry when my husband is on deployment. If he is safe. But I know now he is a hero. I thank God for him and the marine corps for giving the best that he is . I'm very proud wife. Those men are few and far between and are generally those who grew up with younger siblings. Its not something that can be explained in its entirety but there comes an instinct to protect even if it costs your own life. You don't even think, its not bravery its just action. Cause someone counts on you.

Oklahoma Angel I just happened to see your post. My son finishes AIT- Combat Medic training in 1 month. I've not heard one word in 2 WEEKS bc they are in the field. Ty for raising a fearless young woman who will not only rescue a fallen soldier, but under heavy fire... usually front line. When my son told me the job he chose and that he'd be at Fort Sam.... I cried out of pride and fear. May God stand to shield our children until all he has for them has been completed.

We have conscription army in my country. I served as military police. Our unit was the best 1999 in whole country. I was privileged to stand next to my warrior brothers who i would die for.. I salute all of you who did your time in army, no matter what country you live in!

When that soldier jumps on the grenade my heart stopped and though about his wife and kids. Everyone will remember him as a hero he fought to his finale breath and life saving. And that soldier who got shot over and over again he put his life on the line and did that for the soldier who jumped on the grenade. They have guts that I don’t have I love you guys

We have conscription army in my country. I served as military police. Our unit was the best 1999 in whole country. I was privileged to stand next to my warrior brothers who i would die for.. I salute all of you who did your time in army, no matter what country you live in!
