Looking good! 👍🏻 Keep up the hard work! I’m planning a similar cage for my Comanche. But I’m a long ways away from that step of my build.
Thank you. I got a lot to do on mine as well. I'd say I'm a little over half way done. I can only work as fast as I make "extra money". Something that's hard to ome by for anyone these days.
I use the Lennox brand from Lowe’s. They last a good while. We used two for a really extensive cage on a Cherokee and was very happy with that
It's possible I'm doing it wrong. It's just easier for me to blame the tool.
Love the manche build. Next time you're having issues with sleeves and bent tubing, relief cut the sleeve in 2 places and bend it inwards. Allow for the bent tube and you don't have to cut your sleeve so short.
That's brilliant! I'll give that a try next time. I'm gonna try to not have to connect bends in the future, if I do, that will come in handy.
It takes me close to 60 to 80 notches before I even think about replacing my holesaw. I only run milwaukee holesaws. Maybe more force and less speed, add some WD40. I use my drill press and I know it's spinning much slower than what it looks like your hand drill is doing.
I speed up the cuts in editing, but I'll for sure try slower speed, more pressure. Wd40 is a good idea. I was having trouble getting cutting oil where I needed it
Milwaukee man. The only holesaws ill use. When i did my cage on the chief i used 1 holesaw. Btw i go by steve davis on the fb group. Business reasons.
I know you!! I'll buy one Milwaukee ones this week before I head back home thanks for the tip👍🏻
You gotta treat holesaws like huge drill bits and slow down those rpms!
@@jjbowen80 I'll try that too.
