One real space saver I schlep in the OT MC : a pair of Knipex Carpenters pincers , with a hammer face ( 51 O1 210 ) . Combined with a piece of scrap leather , it pulls nails very cleanly ( so scratches / divots ) . Anything you can’t pull , no worries , cut them off , set , and fill ! Can get you out of jams in old houses ! Sometimes you need to get behind trim / wainscotting , marks are not appreciated ! I did a lot of resi. Time , with some very picky clients !
Very smart setup , great power in a small package ! I dig the TP1 “ Orbiter “ ! I made a “ Rain Hat “ to keep out water , and frozen slush ( a semi major issue in Canada ). Well Done !
I think I’ll try your approach ; in re: my compact belt pouch , and just stash it in the OT MC . In re: small parts , I stash mine in Veto Zippered bags , or sometimes a Holstery Joey pouch ( has a nifty drawstring closure , plus a pretty solid belt clip ! I wear one of their Mod Belts , just to keep my britches up !
@@chrisfyfe9212 I use to keep a zipper bag in the center too instead of the container. Makes it more spacey in there. I’ll eventually try to get a fluke t5-1000 in there to once I get around to buying it
@@Blue-Electric For a few bucks more get the T6 1000 , more capable than the T5 . I’ve loaded out my OT MC , now I’m doing subtraction , & weight reduction . By way of example replacing long reach needlenose with a pair of long Hemostats ( I have a buddy who’s a Vet.) . Saves a pile of weight !
@@Blue-Electric You Sir are a thinker ( the kind of Tradesmen I’ve always preferred ! The thinker is often the guy who gets not only himself , but the rest of the crew out of jams ! One application for the TP 1, and TP2 etc , being as their pockets are large , the will quite possibly fit insulated tools . When I ran a TP 1 , I modified it to ride high ( keeps out rain / frozen slush , which can be an issue in Kanuckastan ! I also put a loop of Shock cord ( small calibre Bungi cord ) around it , keeps tools from falling out when you are in attics and crawl spaces ! My standard tool holster I’d tightly wet molded leather of my own making , works fine for standard handles , can be a problem with insulated stuff !
