My mp2x is my go to as well for the basics. Mine is fully loaded on the side of my tech pack. It's nice when you can unclipped it and get to work. I just got that firmgrip setup up there pushing and its hot garbage. Always trying to find the perfect setup. Unfortunately the mp2x can feel crampt but it stays in it's lane. What I can't do is do a Joey pouch with no seprate pockets and stay sane. I really do suggest a diamondback or atlas vest if you want to do a tool belt. I think the 701s are on sale for 160 for black Friday now. You even have the two pouches that I'd suggest for it and ussaly a set. Glad you got your forged wire strippers they are the 80%ers I still carry a tsunoda fujiya kurokin or marvel cross cuts for twisting 12 to 8g awg. I'm never rid of a linemens like product but at least my options are less bulky and alot lighter for the same performance.
@@MattHmm-rq6dn very true about the MP2X couldn’t have said it better. The Joey for me is only good in attic spaces. I had the chance to get a DB vest for $50 totally regret it.🤦♂️
Definitely a sweet setup! Have you went to the MP2X over the mini niko? I keep flipping back and forth between pouches and belt sets, depending on the task. Thanks for the video sir, always enjoy them 👍
@@bradw0535 like I said, I destroyed my mini Niko 🤦♂️ still salvageable! Just have to get around to fixing it. I like how spacious it is 👍 sometimes the MP2X can feel cramped
I've pondered a mini niko before. I have the az page up looking for used at a drastic discount. I got my mazo for 37 dollars looked like brand new. You should change setups from time to time it makes things interesting.
You gotta keep an eye out. I buy off the used options often if the price is dramatic. I got a mag 77 worm drive for 28 dollars came perfect not too long ago. I often but ocl badgers even some diamondback tool belts for 70ish % off. My badgers cost me 110 dollars ocl comerical electrican 125 dollars all used all perfect condition. The key is not to be picky about the size get anything that's cheap and use the pouches. Keep a few tabs open!
I got the knipex stripers with the hope that they’d replace my Kline lineman’s as a 2 in 1 but they aren’t as reliable when twisting wires for the wire nuts. I noticed the grip on the knipex wasn’t as good as my lineman’s but I’m curious to see how it works out for you.
I agree 14g sure stranded 12 maybe 10 sure. I have to carry a larger higher leverage pliers especially in some of thr ancient houses with cloth and 12g that's as thick as 8g awg.

@@MattHmm-rq6dn $37 is a sweet deal for a diamondback pouch. I didn’t know Amazon would have used pouches for sale

@@MattHmm-rq6dn on paper they really seem to be the greatest strippers ever lol
What about your belt? I’m using a belt for my pants and a thicker belt over top but it’s annoying to wear. I have the MP2X
