I agree to a point. I am a motovlogger, using a DJI OA3 mounted on my helmet, and following your videos, have recently bought the DJI mic adapter and lav mic. Although the audio is quite as good as my previous set up (Saramonic mic adapter and ancient Hama VSOP notebook mic), it looks neater when the handle bar camera is pointing at me. The DJI set up is a simple plug and play, giving good results up to about 50-55mph, after that it begins to distort. Also adding something on the front of the bike, like a screen, causing wind turbulence (dirty air), really does affect distortion. I didn’t want to go down the, now very popular, wireless set up, as it sounds too clinical, losing the atmosphere of riding a motorcycle. To me, you just can’t beat the simplicity, of “plug and play (record)”. Cheers
I think OA4 with DJI mic 2 connected wirelessly is about as plug and play as you can get! Yeah, it’s a touch clinical but you have to make a stand somewhere
2024 doesn't feel like a leap forward in tech. Its a gimmick year filled with AI. Its nice to have options but then the older stuff dissapears! New gear is enticing, and then we look at a samsung q2u and i still love using it on the daily! Right now it feels like we're returning from a tech high back to what is actually needed!
I strongly agree with you. Seems like we are stepping back and not moving forward in technology. My last wireless mic review I believe it was the Rode Wireless go. I sold it and bought it back, I still have it. Such a good device. Now days is to much 🤡 clowning. One day I will review again.
Think that, competing audio companies wanna be different from their competition & try to add-on little bells & whistles. In doing so, they Totally & Completely forget the KISS principle.....Keep-It-Stupidly-Simple

Thanks again for the super! Much appreciated!
Fully agree with you
I'm using the Rode Wireless ME and I like it for it's simplicity
Despite so many new things coming out just sticking with the simple bimple Zoom F2. At least for those tiny ones.
That mic is your brand now! 🎉

I stay away from any product that has to hook up to the cloud. I like my privacy.
