      their high end laptops are made of the same crappy plastic. and use the same chassis design thought process, they suck, i can not stop telling people about this because of how disappointed i was by my ewaste. i paid 1500 euros for that thing and it was so much worse than anything i got from lenovo. but currently id only buy from asus.

      @@user-yx1qk4sk5t im not sure about the titan specifically, I've never been interested in this type of desktop replacement laptop. fuck it maybe I'm wrong right now and they actually changed material on their higher end stuff i sure as hell ain't checking because having to deal with a laptop that's literally falling apart from the hinges being shit and ripping the brittle plastic they used, not fun and they're not ever getting my money again no matter how good their products are, and i didn't even get tricked into buying a lower end product for more than it was worth at that time, that was pretty damn close to buying it straight off of them price wise. just so displeased with the quality of the material at that time, especially the hinges, if the material is bad it's fine. because if it breaks i probably dropped it, but i don't want it falling apart because they couldn't make hinges out of metal. or they were linked up with plastic like they did on the model i got back then

    Spoiler, not worth it. This laptop just makes zero sense to me. An 8lb laptop using a year old GPU and costs double the price of a desktop which would dominate it. Also, I know there's a trend to increase screen resolution, but I can't see that making sense for a "gaming" laptop.

    • @greebj
      @greebj 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      So don't buy it. I won't either as I don't think $8K is worth it, but MSI wouldn't keep bother making these if they didn't sell enough of them to make it worthwhile for them.

    • @Sgt.Hairclub
      @Sgt.Hairclub 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +31

      @greebj Not to mention, bitching about weight is kinda silly for a true desktop replacement. It's not like a person's going to be whipping this out willy-nilly on the subway or something. These wire armed wimps need to hit the weight room if 8lbs is too much.

    But I think you should include a power consumption section, like a wallplug measurement in idle, load and perhaps battery charging states.
    I have 6 (mainly tower) systems for my geek family, and combined consumption is now an issue, may be interested by laptop replacements to cut the costs.

    Just a update as someone who actually owns this laptop and have longer than probably most people. MSI released a update for the track pad and it's finally working correctly. You can now hold and drag for as long as you want. Thank God! Unfortunately, if you do the update. All your bios settings will be lose. You will have to redo undervolt, redo memory 5600 setting, and all that. It's kinda annoying because you have to go thru like 8 different settings for all this but oh well. Now the laptop is flawless except for the atrocious battery life of course!

      @@Arxgxmi not necessarily. If you're just looking for raw horsepower, MSI raider series has thicker heavier laptops, which cool better but are much less portable. I wonder why the results are so weak (relatively of course), considering the hardware and the temps it should outperform every other laptop, even the ones with the same specs since the increased tdp and yet it seems that sometimes it gets beaten by last year cpu with less power. I think there must be something wrong with the tuning or the softwer or the drivers in the titan series, maybe that's why the temps are so low (the cpu not going over 90 in a stress test with all that power it's wierd). Maybe the problem is just the ram, 3600 is very slow, other laptops reach 5200\5600 with ddr5 and unless you actually need large amounts of ram for specific tasks the speed of ram is much more important in gaming and application in general (you will never even fill 32 gb in gaming).

    • @Null-Ghost
      @Null-Ghost 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have same laptop
      To be honest, it has nothing to do with the memory clock
      The performance difference depends on whether BIOS advanced settings are used such as reducing voltage and turning off CEP / UVP / Core isolation
      I have tried increasing the clock speed of my 128GB DDR5 to 4600~4000MHz
      Although it can be turned on
      However, above 4200Mhz, it will fail the Windows memory check.
      The only 4000MHz can pass the stability check
      And the Cinebench results are not much different from 3600/4600MHz DDR5

Going through the list my current pick would be an ASUS Scar 17, but all 4090 laptops seem to be prett even in performance. I usually go for Intel + Nvidia but the current Ryzen is very good. But its not all about performance, I want some longevity, good features and a great but quit cooling solution.
