to version 18.1.0 in the easiest way, without losing data.
All you need is to follow each step carefully, and you won't have any problems.

Hey, I have a question about RCM. What is the recommended way to inject? It seems a faff having to use the PC every time when the switch dies, but heard that the RCM dongle and android are not 100%. The RCM dongle seems the most efficient, what do you recommend?
I recommend RCM Loader. It is not expensive and you can always have it in your pocket. Its battery lasts for a couple of months, so you don't have to worry.

After succesfullly finished installing everything, can I delete the old.atmosphere, old.bootloader and Firmware 18.1.0 folder in the SD Card?
Yes, you can delete it. Those folders are just a backup in case something goes wrong.

i have a gen 1 factory switch. before when it was on the 17 series updates the website said it was hackable. is this still true for this current 18 series of firmware and where can i find the process? i wasnt able to mod it before because the jig didnt arrive in time and i forgot to turn off auto update. currently on 18.1.0

Make a backup of the old ones as in the video just in case and then copy the new ones.

I followed this update but now can't access the telsa overlay menu. I usually press L and DPad Down and push on the right joy stick. Has the combination changed?

Because the shop you used to get the games from got deleted, all you have to do is redownload it.
You have to add the shop you used again because you installed a new version of tinfoil

I cant connect to wifi, its always show error and need to reboot. is it because I fail to use RCM loader? because when I use it yes it show blue mines but switch not boot automatically, it still off till I need to turn on from power button
You can try several things. First, try to forget the wifi network and connect again. If that doesn't work, you can reset the switch to factory settings, but that will erase everything. If that doesn't work either, then it's probably a hardware problem.
I have an modded switch with chip. And I have many other programs under "Albums", will they all stay untouched after this upadate? Also when you launched hekate I didnt see OFW, when I launch hekate I see 4 options: cfw -emuMMC, Lockpick RCM, Tegra Explorer, and OFW. I see you dont have that. Can I update my systems using your method without risk losing anything?
This method will not delete anything. But to keep the Launch menu as it is, you need to save the hekate_ipl.ini file from the old bootloader folder and put it in the new one.

I think you skipped the step with server blocking (90dns). You have to do that to be able to use the internet.
My Firmware is 17.0 and I'm planning to update to the latest. I followed your instruction and i got a problem. When i inserted the sd card. A new 6.2.0 Hekate appear unlike yours that's not and automatic lunch into the OFW. Did i miss something.
Update:
When Hekate appear i jsut lunch tha Stock-sysMMC then connect to wifi and then update system. Wait till it says reboot. Then follows the procedure according to the video for daybreak.
Downside i can no longer use the themeinstaller. Need to wait for the update ver.
There is already an update. You can use hb appstore to update.
Hey, the tutorial is amazing but when I try to launch emuMMC for the second time in the video it won't launch and I get the error "An error has occurred Error Code: 2123-0011" any fixes?
You must quickly turn on airplane mode and do 90dns. I guess you skipped that step.

do I still need the hekate ctaer 6.2.0 bin something even though my modded switch doesn't need the jig in order to get to the Hekate 6.2.0 screen o-o? when I restart my switch it goes to that screen automatically as it should be.
Just put the files on the sd card and you're good to go. It will automatically launch hekate for you.
you got my sub and like everythings looking cool and DBI manager still good i use that to install updates and new games to my switch.

hi all, on the first boot after injecting the payload by starting "CFW - emuMMC" the console does not start emulation and returns the error: "emuMMC is forced but not enabled!".

You messed up the files. I guess you just pasted over the old ones. You have to do every step.

I purchased a modded switch about a year ago I never updated it I do have a RCM if I follow these steps will it update everything? Or do I still have to update something else? Just want to see if anyone might have any information I never updated it before but I'm thinking about it I'm just nervous.
Just follow the steps. This is the tutorial you need.
I have a v2 switch with a mod chip installed that is on version 17.0.0. I went into sysmmc to connect to the internet and update the console but before I could update I received an error code 2123-0011. This same code shows up a few seconds after I boot into sysmmc.
Did you launch stock or cfw sysmmc?

Did you organize the sd files like in the video or did you just paste over the old ones?

Try to download the tinfoil installer from the official site. The files may not have been downloaded properly.

hello , um i accidentally updated my nintendo switch to 18.1.0 ( when the message popped when i was playing i accidentally hit update ) and now when i launch CFW it gives me an error code " A fatal error occurred when running atmosphère " , so how am i supposed to update atmosphère now please help me cuz i've been crying since yesterday because of it

Bro. I am having a total headache with getting tinfoil to run. I follow this guide. And also did a complete wipe of my current cfw system. Even wiped the sd card with a factory reset. Used 2 different kind of sigpatches.
Now i have many times wiped my sd card.
But tinfoil can and will not boot. It said software cannot start.
And then a blank tile with never ending circles comes.
I am so annoyed😂

I’m getting the same message as someone else here with the cfw-Emmu giving me and error code. I followed all the steps so far
-Downloaded the AIO
-extracted files
-I didn’t see hekate on root of SD
-deleted tinfoil in switch folder
-renamed the 2 old folders
-drug and dropped all files from SD card folder and replaced everything
-made sure my switch was updated
-did the rcm step to get to the hekate menu
-then I try to launch CFW-emuMMC I get the forced but not enabled… help me please lol
Do you even have emuMMC? Last time you asked me about fusee.bin and I assume that's how you booted cfw.

Sigpatches are still beta. We have to be patient, the newest ones are currently in the package.

Go to settings tab and install the driver. You can also try a different cable.

You must have some extraction tool like winrar. If it is damaged, then download it again.

Not. Just update the switch to 18.1.0 and then jailbreak it. The video you commented on is for consoles that have already been jailbroken.

@vix00018 Tinfoil installer is included in the package. You just need to google for .nsp files... On my channel you also have a tutorial on how to use tinfoil.
