Nice cabin review! My wife and I sailed on the inaugural cruise of the new SUN Princess (February 28th) in a Reserve Collection Cabana Mini-Suite and loved that our cabin opened directly onto the Cabana Deck. The main part of the cabin is smaller than a normal mini suite, since part of the space is taken up by the sunroom. My wife enjoyed reading out there on the mornings I slept in, but this is certainly a trade-off from a traditional mini suite. Our cabin was just aft of the forward elevators, but we didn’t find traffic or sound in the corridor to be a problem. The Cabana Deck was rarely used by many people since it was too cool to enjoy the deck on some days. We discovered that any cabin classified as Cabana Mini-Suite has access to this deck, not just the cabins facing it directly, so it might get crowded in warmer climates. We are booked in a similar cabin in January, so we shall see. The Reserve Collection Dining Room got crowded around 7:00 pm each night, but this might change once the theater is operational. Overall, we loved the layout of the new ship, and will hold our decision on the Cabana Mini-Suite until January.
@@mandywong1408 Our cabin opened directly to the Cabana deck. The sunroom portion of the cabin has double doors that open to a balcony (with two lounge chairs and a small table) and the balcony is separated form the Cabana deck by a railing with a gate. There are Cabana cabins that don't open directly to the Cabana deck. They gain access to the deck through doors at each end of the deck that is opened with their medallion. This feature was working during the inaugural cruise, so anyone could access the deck despite a sign saying "Cabana" passengers only!
I am sailing on the July 13th sailing. We are in a Cabana Suite on deck 9. I am assuming the Cabana portion is not air conditioned. We are traveling with family. We have 3 cabins. I'm more worried about finding shade! We are looking forward to it. I don't see why being on deck 9 would be noisy from your cabin. My bed and sitting area are closer to outside than the hallway. Thanks for your comments.
@@evahenry4981 If you are referring to the sunroom portion of the cabin, yes it is air conditioned. If you are referring to the cabana deck, no it is not air conditioned. It is an open deck!
@CruzerToo yes, of course, the "sun room" as you are calling it. OK good to know. I have watched a lot videos but, I don't recall anyone mentioning if it had A/C. Thanks.
We had a cove balcony on another line when on an Alaska cruise, and we loved it. Even when weather wasn't great, we could go out and see the beautiful scenery. Thanks for showing all the different categories.
You're the first with the Cove Balcony tour! Thank you! I snagged a cove balcony on the Transatlantic. Looking forward to being so close to the water. Cove balconies are perfect for solo cruisers who love their privacy.
Thanks for the cabin tours Don. I appreciate it! I have a question...my husband uses a rollator. It seems as though the entry will be way too narrow to enter, plus where do you park it once inside. Other Princess ships have a narrow doorway that prevents you from wheeling inside. I have to break the rollator down and carry it in sideways. Once inside it can go in the closet area. Is my analysis correct? If so, it seems as though this new ship isn't for us. Thanks!

The PHS and OS were accessible which means the layout is larger. I would like to see the size of the regular OS and PH suite. But thank you for the tour.
I am looking at doing a Princess Cruise around Australia next year. I have only sailed on Celebrity and Viking so hope I like Princess. I really like the open balcony. Are there any accommodations for solos. Thank you that tour was great
I see a lot of these fancier cabins are wheelchair accessible. are there regular balcony cabins that at least don't have the step up into the bathroom?
Great review! Very detailed and useful for people trying to choose the right cabin for themselves. Just curious about the cabana mini-suites. They’re similar in concept to the mini-conservatory suites of P&O. The conservatory space has no a/c and opening the door between it and the bedroom shuts down the a/c in the bedroom. Does the same thing happen with the Princess cabana mini-suites? Or is the cabana area considered outdoor space like the balcony?
Thank you. Wondering if you have any input on the balcony situation (view) for the for DF accessible cabins all forward on deck 9? Cannot find any pictures anywhere. 9101, 9102 etc TIA
I could handle the Owner's suite, as it has the table I love! I am a bit of a klutz so that table just works better then that silly little round table that I never liked. I even avoid coffee shops with round tables. 😂
I think I missed something. How is the Penthouse suite a step up from the Owners suite. It seemed smaller and lacks a seating area adjacent to the bedroom. Are there more amenities available in the Penthouse suite?
For me we always tend to go for a mini suite because we like the settee now it looks like we don't have to bother so so plus for us I will probably still go for the signature one for the etras. You can forget the cabana on busy days be like having a bedroom on the ground floor of 5th Avenue everyone walking past looking in.
Hi Don, we really appreciate your videos. We've been watching your videos since Covid and really enjoy all the hard work you put into your videos to inform us about cruising. Do you know if I can still purchase the princess plus package for 60.00 per person on my 2nd day of my 7 day cruise on the Sun Princess? Someone told me they will charge me a fee if I purchase the package onboard. Thanks in advance and have a great week.
I really like the mid-cabin curtain in the signature class balcony suite. Princess should just do it for all balcony cabins. I've always liked being able to change in the walk-in closet while my husband can open the balcony all day long.
YES, and it's about time they put OUTLETS next to the bed on both sides!! 😊😊😊 Not putting them almost all the way up towards the front of the room & 1 set only makes about as much sense as outting lace on a bowling ball. 😂
We have an inside booked for 21 days. We prefer inside and don't really care for any other. If I had to choose something else I would go with cabana or cove.
Try getting enough room for all your hanging space for two people on a 20 day cruise. It isn’t happening for us that’s for sure. I think the closest space is a waste. All those shelves without a place to hang shirts etc.
Also we were just on the Enchanted Princess and the balcony was huge. It had room for two chairs and two footstools plus a large round table. And that was in the regular balcony room.

Just wondering if your cabana balcony has a door to access the deck or do you have to go around to get to the deck?

Very informative walk-through Don. Something to dream about for me.
I like the cove balcony personally 😊…shade, protection from the elements and close to the water!
Beautiful presentation of all the cabins. If I win the lottery, I’d stay in the owners suite.
What the top of the line Signature Sky Suite?
We've booked a deluxe balcony for next February. Can't wait. Thanks for the tour!
Thank you, been waiting to see someone show all the rooms. You did it!!!! 3 of us staying in the Owners Suite 11 day cruise 2025. So excited!!!
Thanks for the cabin tours Don. I appreciate it!

Love love seeing the walk through of the cabins❤❤
Thanks for the tours, looking forward to the March group cruise
Thank You Don great cabin reviews and good information on all of them. I like the Sun Princess more and more as I see all the reviews
Great review on the cabins! Thanks for doing this!
Very very nice. Thank you don. Keep up the good work.
Loved this video! After watching it we just booked a cruise on Sun Princess 😁 Thank you Don!😊

Amazing cabins, one of these days…I like the cove idea. Thanks for the very informative video ⚓️
Thank you Don!! Beautiful
I’m in the owners suite in August. Like you, I’m trying to lose 30 pounds and very excited for my cruise! Thanks for the video.
Beautiful rooms we will be in the cove balcony in Dec. Looking forward to it. ! Jeff & Sandy Brooklyn N.Y.
we will no on the Sun in Dec also on her now and it is an amazing ship, it is classic Princess in a new and awesome package.
Thank you for the very informative tour!
Really enjoy room tours, very informative.
Very useful video with detailed comparisons. Thank you.
Lovely tour. Thank you!
Good review Don. Nice and succinct.
The PHS and OS were accessible which means the layout is larger. I would like to see the size of the regular OS and PH suite. But thank you for the tour.
Nice review, can’t wait for December!
Looks
Wonderful !
All are gorgeous!
Cruise ship reviews like this is where Don excels. I wish his cruise news had this level of detail.
Looks wonderful
Great tour, would love to sail on this ship.
Love the glass shower door hurrah
A lot of options. WOW!!!
It depends on your budget.
I wouldn't mind staying in any one of those cabins!!
Keep up the good work!
I am looking at doing a Princess Cruise around Australia next year. I have only sailed on Celebrity and Viking so hope I like Princess. I really like the open balcony. Are there any accommodations for solos. Thank you that tour was great
The Sun has a few solo cabins but not many. It's the only ship with some.
Beautiful cabins
I like that you can pick the best design for you. We prefer the couch by the balcony
Really nice cabin
Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks for the tour. Is their any of the bathtubs that can be used as a jacuzzi?
They all look nice ,
Nice cabin Don!
Would have loved to have seen the balcony on the Sky Suite!😊
The staterooms look beautiful.
Those cabins are beautiful. We are looking at the Havana mini suites
Great video ❤❤❤❤
I have a comp Signature Penthouse Suite in January for 14 days 🙌🏽 I can't wait!!
IThose are nice cabins. I hope I have the opportunity to try Sun Princess. 👍
I like it that Princess has subtle differences in their balcony cabins. They are all finished so well.
I see a lot of these fancier cabins are wheelchair accessible. are there regular balcony cabins that at least don't have the step up into the bathroom?
Thanks for the review 😊
Great video, thx ! This ship is not for us ! We love the Royal class ! 😍
i wish i could find a review of an interior accessible cabin.. at least before November when i will see it for myself!! :)
Great review
Hi Don, hopefully you can answer my question. Do you think a mid ship balcony cabin on the deck 17 would be noisy thanks
Great review! Very detailed and useful for people trying to choose the right cabin for themselves. Just curious about the cabana mini-suites. With the cove balconies being on deck 6 is there a noise factor with deck 7 being mostly restaurants and bars?
Sweet suites
Are there any pictures with twin bed set up?
The signature state room is favorite
We really liked our balcony cabin but it was a bit tight near the door/closet area with 2 people.
The cabana cabins are great - but any of them would be wonderful.
Is the Signature suite the mini suite?
It hard to choose. I like them all.
I could handle the Owner's suite, as it has the table I love! I am a bit of a klutz so that table just works better then that silly little round table that I never liked. I even avoid coffee shops with round tables. 😂
Cove balcony for us.
Do they have the mini suite. I would have love seeing one of them. I will be staying in one on the Star in December 2025.
I think I missed something. How is the Penthouse suite a step up from the Owners suite. It seemed smaller and lacks a seating area adjacent to the bedroom. Are there more amenities available in the Penthouse suite?

Do u think Alaska would be fun in May or August ?
What type of balcony furniture did the S9 (mini suite size) with Signature benefits. That wasn’t shown on your video.
Did the second bedroom in the Sky Suite have it's own bathroom?
Yes, they each have a bathroom.
@@travelingbeyondboundaries thank you
Nice

I really like the mid-cabin curtain in the signature class balcony suite. Princess should just do it for all balcony cabins. I've always liked being able to change in the walk-in closet while my husband can open the balcony all day long.
Do you have one of a Mini Suite?
I wish you would have shown an inside cabin with the new changes.
Just a standard balcony cabin for us. 😊
I couldn't afford any of those. Just a standard balcony for me and is good enough😊
YES, and it's about time they put OUTLETS next to the bed on both sides!! 😊😊😊
Not putting them almost all the way up towards the front of the room & 1 set only makes about as much sense as outting lace on a bowling ball. 😂
You didn't notice the extra TV set? Very useful if you use the bed for sleeping, not for watching TV.
We have an inside booked for 21 days. We prefer inside and don't really care for any other. If I had to choose something else I would go with cabana or cove.

We are doing 21 days in an inside cabin with 3 people. We aren't worried about enough storage space at all 🤷🏻♀️
Beautiful rooms but we have never stayed in an inside but with the new ships maybe not looking like a shoe box.
