I just felt it was a bit lacking in the catacomb's fight, where they CLEARLY mentions AND SHOW more than once there is a stream of holy water... and her being able to manipulate water and ice, didn't even think of making it rain all over the place, instakilling every monster and vampire in the room...
I felt like she didn’t use as many elements this season. She used air power in another season but i forgot which. Also, the way she uses water and ice in this season is not as creative. I would have to rewatch to confirm, but I feel that she only turns ice into daggers and let them fly and that’s it. In season 3 there were ice disks and ice balls, etc. She’s my fav, so I’m a bit critical, but overall I think the character design is superb.
@@AlejandroLamKhoa In the barracks scene she literally heats up metal spear heads using her flames and then uses ice to create a heat explosion that sends the spear heads into her enemy. I'd say thats pretty creative, pretty unnecessary, but creative.

I never thought it would be called that or even knew if it was armor. But yeah even one of her poses when she was fighting looked like that iconic Guts/artorias pose
I don't know what was more tragic, Saint Germaine's change from hero to villain, the lost love with Hector and Lenore, or that fact we still never got to see Grant Dynasty.
Actually, I think Saint Germain was never a hero nor a villain, he just followed his goal which he would do anything for and in the 3rd season it happened to be something that was happening at the same place where the actual heroes of the show were doing heroic stuff and in 4th season he did bad things for the same reason (he thought it will help him achieve his goal) He was never really doing good or bad things for the sake of being the hero or the villain, he was just a desparate single dude lol
I think Saint Germaine's story arc was more like him going from being a normal dude, to a hero, to a villain, and to a hero again, with a bittersweet ending Kind of a shame that he died, but i suppose there was nothing more in the world for him to do, he tried to fulfill his goal, and he uhh... suceeded and failed at the same time? I'm kind of unsure honestly, but i think it was interesting to see him go from a selfish good character, to a selfish killer for the sake of completing his goal, and then redeeming himself at the end.
The “angel demon” is Isaacs trust worthy devil type innocent devil, named Abel in the game curse of darkness. And they got it nailed down to the exact same look of the game in this show!
There's enough source material for it if they wanted to try. The Curse of Darkness entry in the game series has Hector as the player character, his wife burned at the stake thanks to Isaac, who lures him to Dracula's Castle to turn him into Dracula's new body. We'd need to see Hector move on with his life and Isaac fall from grace for something like that to happen, but it's doable. The question though is whether we'd actually want to see that after the way their stories ended
@@EditDeath I personally wouldn’t want to see that since I love Isaac, but it would be a really good continuation of the story if they ever did decide to do it
@@ultimatehope549 I agree wholeheartedly. It could make for a great story for Hector, sharing a tragedy with Dracula while still being his own person, but to get there would require Isaac to lose sight of so much of what he identified in that amazing monologue of his. I'd rather not put him through the sort of events that would break him down so thoroughly. Either it would be a tragedy, or it would be sewing Deadpool's mouth shut for the finale, in other words turning him into someone entirely different than we expect at this stage
Fun fact! We are getting multiple spinoffs of the show! So I don't doubt that we will get a forge master show, a show about Simon or about the two vampire ladies who left Carmela
@WolfsBane Styria is in southern Austria. Wallachia is southern Romania. Not the best excuse from the writers but yeah you're right, they are about 500km-ish apart.
@@asytippyy352 dude they have magic golden floating mirrors that literally teleport entire armies of demons from the middle of the desert to a freezing castle in the mountains, Distances are no problem at all.
My oh my god moment was trevor and sypha jumping through the distance mirror and landing besides Alucard right as he needed them and them just laying waste to vampires
Small gripe: The Death reveal had sufficient foreshadowing for fans of the lore and game series. You see a Death statue, you know he's the secondary antagonist, you know he's showing up at some point. Anyone who knows it's the series finale should've been ready for it. For people getting into it because of the anime itself, yeah, fine, point taken, but I don't mind writers prioritising the core audience their series is adapted from. Nice vid :)
@Martin Toledo to add to it, after the reveal I realized that since Death eats what's left after ppl die, of COURSE he would be in the place that Dracula completely devastated (and England which is also rampant with dead ppl by itself).
@@FearNoSteel honestly his conversation with Reiko (I think that was his name) is really good foreshadowing in retrospect. The fact that he claims he only kept Reiko cause he's good at killing as well as knowing things about his past kills that Reiko claims to have been hiding. (I think can't remember the dialogue word for word)
I never played the games, but the Death foreshadowing was too on the nose in that single episode. The second they introduced the statue, i knew they were going to have to fight it. I didn't know it was also the Alchemist and Varney, but the Death fight was obvious even for those eho haven't played the games
Yes of course the ending felt cliché, but before St. Germain died you could see how he activated the key to open the corridor, he saved Trevor at the last possible moment, I don't think this is bad writing at all, it just felt like a rushed conclusion. I actually like that even tho St. Germain became an Antagonist, he found back to his good hearted nature in the end.
He may even have gone back into the infinite corridor himself. Idk if we can forgive Dracula for genocide I think we can give Germain a second chance at life.
Personally loved everything about this season. Thought all the plots were super interesting all the way through, had such an amazing script, the action was frequent and well done and the ending was perfect for me. good endings and fake deaths are super boring and predictable but for a show so dark and depressing, a happy ending is so much more effective. Honestly think my only gripe with the season was how casual sypha was about trevor being alive, but heck shes probably seen enough to not be that surprised at this point.
St. Germaine is literally just there to create this show's equivalent of the MCU. Portal to anywhere? Well looks like we can have as many crossovers as we want. I look forward to seeing Issac showing up in the Assassins Creed universe.
I kinda feel maybe there could've been another season, like this whole season could've focused more on Trevor and Sypha's relationship and adventures, maybe at one point trying to take a break from one another only to realise towards the end of the season how much they need each other and are willing to make permanent changes to themselves in order for it to work. That is a great lesson for any couple in a relationship, to learn that sometimes they must be willing to go with some changes in order to make things work. Bit of a missed opportunity here. I would have also liked to see Alucard slowly dive into his Vampire nature, almost like diving into madness, only to realise towards the end, he's turning out just like his father, so he decides to sober up and remind himself that he is his mother's son as well. Again missed opportunity people could have related too. I would have also liked to see Camilla's backstory, like maybe a few cut scenes of her past, how she rose up or what was the final result that drove her into becoming who she was in the end. I feel this season could've ended with these characters coming to terms, then the next season could've focused on the final battle. But that's just my personal thoughts. Then again it's a little concerning to see the pattern of what's happening with anime series's, like Promised Neverland. First season great, second season: Let's reach the finish line. Why are these animators rushing to finish the story? In my opinion, if you wanna make great memorable characters and build up the suspense, keep the story going as long as possible. I feel both these animes have fallen victim to time rush, which every artist knows you must NEVER rush art.
I think Alucard went through a condensed version of what you say. For me the best part of his character is just him willingly and trying to open up to people. its a subtle and slow growth and I think it works. idk, maybe coz i also am unsociable and shy that I like his arc. I'm sure theres going to be more stories about him, the producer said before he was interested in a alucard centered story like symphony of the night
Its because of Netflix. They cancel shows quite often, when the shows dont get enough exposure and Castlevania definitely needed more exposure. They rushed it, so that they could have an ending, instead of ending on a cliffhanger and then getting canceled
Man I want an uncensored true berserk adaptation. If anyone can do it, these guys can. AND they don't need to worry about the script. It's already flawless and ready for them.
@@orangesoda4535 same. I actually think starting with the black swordsman arc would be great. It's rather clunky but I feel they could polish it up nicely knowing what follows.
The angel demon that was with Issac is called the Innocent Devil/Demon and in the games it acts like his familiar protecting his and attacking his opponents.
@@RedBoy747 The Innocent Devil's name is "Abel", same as it was in the games. In this case, the Innocent Devil worked kind of like Isaac's "Stand" if we're making a Jojo comparison. He's essentially "in sync" with Isaac that they work together VERY well, so he's kind of like his #1, right hand demon when going into battle.
I personally headcannon that angel dude protecting Isaac is a transformed Flyeyes. After that whole conversation about their natures and how they’re not set in stone, it would be kinda cool if the very nature and form of the night creature changed into something new. And then spent almost the entire fight actively helping and protecting the master that opened their (fly)eyes. More than simply destruction indeed.
I’m glad as a castlevania fan that people like u enjoyed the show. There’s so much that can be explored in the source material of the games. But breaking it down to a character driven story like this for a show adapted from games deserves all the praises it gets.
If I could say one thing about this season or the entire series of Netflix's Castlevania.....This Fucking score! The soundtrack i wish they could release it onto itunes alot of good tracks, remixes and such that i would listen to on repeat.
Soundtrack was great indeed, but I sure wish they had included more original compositions from the games. Half of the appeal of the franchise was due to the games legendary soundtracks !
This was just amazing my only complaint was that germaines change to villain felt just off and Greta didn’t feel like she had enough characterization or personality that was different from any of the shows other characters But everything with carmilla, Isaac, hector, Trevor, sypha and death just soooo good loved it I actually like the way the pacing was because having basically a second finale in season 6 was amazing wine really improved the show to me I thought the death god thing was very clear honestly the moment when varney said he liked the Russian dude because he was good at death and feeds on it which was like yeah he is death
The "Death Dagger" is literally the video game part of the story. You see throughout the season trevor collect the parts he uses to create the weapon in the end. It was a great touch.
@empty shogun Hmmm good point. It might be the additional souls were needed to specifically pull Dracula and his wife back from Hell while the key on it's own allowed Germain to enter and leave the Infinite corridor. Just speculation, haven't rewatched it to check.
@Jayy Menace 100% agreed. Although we want Trevor to live, we know deep down that kind of death works best in story telling. Especially with them pointing out Sypha was pregnant. DOUBLE especially knowing he has an epic bloodline of vampire killers down the line like Simon lol.
The angel demon is "Abel" from the Curse of Darkness PS2 game. It's lore accurate since it's his favorite Innocent Devil (PS2 Isaac often had Abel by his side in the custscenes).
The ending reminds me Of Final Fantasy 9 the cast fights the big built up boss but then have to fight the random insanely powerful out of nowhere enemy that may have been mentioned once.
Well to be fair on FF9, it did gives us clues or something related to the powerful being that was controlling all emotions into sad & despair and it wasn't the first Final Fantasy game that did that. FF1 and FF4 did it first.
loved Sypha... she was so crafty on the way she used her magic in combat and her personality was pretty good, she was OP. she adapted really fast to the battles and was flashy AF. blend between martial arts and magic. a bit like Avatar.
I felt like the stories all did connect fairly well, I loved this series, 9/10 for sure, I could see some issues but damn, give credit where credit is due, I definitely wanted more but for a “premature ending,” it was probably the best we could’ve gotten. I think the stories could’ve connected better, but what we got was good enough for sure!
I was okay with it up to the point of Trevor surviving, cause it was a 50/50 for me if he died at all, Dracula and Lisa coming back was a bit too much for me
I think they made that cliche ending because we are seeing an adaption of a videogame and is pretty rare in these games to see the hero die at the end, so i think that the end was a great touch from the studio
The story of S4 probably could have been two seasons. Prolly came down to budget constraints I’m sure. But honestly they went out with a bang and I thought they ended it pretty damn well.
Still, you can’t deny the show is still what a video game adaptation should strive to be. It’s good to see a good show after so many constant failures.
ACG. Agreed. So far, it's one of the best video game adaption show we had in an very long time and I hope they continue with this trend depending what video game they're making and how it represents.
The title says it all. The ending nosedived hard imho, but atleast it didn’t ruin anything really. But I wouldn’t rate it 10/10 like AJ for example.. 8/10 seems way more reasonable. That twist at the end felt sooo rushed and some character arcs ended unsatisfying. However it’s still a Show easy to recommend.
Honestly that final fight was pretty gorgeous to me, definitely going to rewatch that scene for probably years to come, felt like the perfect fight scene to cap off a series full of exceptional fight scenes.
I feel like it ended too soon as well! And that cliffhanger with Vlad and Lisa coming back, ugh I want more and I want to see more of what comes of Alucard.
Well they never introduced Maria which is his love interest in the game. And Trevor and Psyfer have a son named Simon who is the very first protagonist in the game series. So Sequel yes i think so
@@lucianoramirezpenilla6356 yes I agree I think they deserve a few more seasons! I keep watching it over and over. They did such a great job and to just end it like this is terrible
You're probably right about Alucard having the weakest story. I get what they were going for but I thought somebody was going to talk to him about the whole displaying bodies as warnings thing.
He honestly has no character growth after season 1. He lives in his castle alone. Has a bisexual incestuous 3some. (That boi was pretty cute tho) then helps a random nearby village with monsters. And. Maybe. Gets with some chick?
Greta mentions that in passing. She mentions how he's a weird hermit and apparently there was nothing else to it. I would have expected more resistance but he really handled the betrayal in S3 like a champ with no bitterness or anything.
The first half was kind of a drag , with the Isaac and Hector timeline easing it. Thankfully, the last half of the seasin delivered. Wished we had another season but this was good
I hope they don't continue. I don't want them to somehow turn an already great show to an disaster one. An sequel, prequel or an spinoff would be fine.
Personally, I prefered the more realisitc approaches of the first two seasons when it came to fights. I still liked this season's fights a lot, but the other ones were far more memeorable.
@@undeadblizzard a spinoff would be great, but now that we have lost the lead wrighter I'm feeling nervous about it. Not defending the dude, but losing the head wrighter can kill a show.
Loved all of it!!! Seeing Carmilla getting her just desserts from Issac was just *chefs kiss* Trevor and Sypha were greatvascalways and hearing Sypha get angry for swearing was hilarious! Alucard FINALLY getting a happy ending made me smile ear to ear. But in agree the St. Germain stuff was just dull. Though I was very happy Dracula and Lisa get a second chance.
Very much agreed, it clearly wasnt rushed going by the animation, but the writers definitely stuffed every idea they had left into this last season. Was stupid fun to watch though
That makes so much sense about the voice recordings, thank you! Also while it wasn't clear, Trevor was slowly/secretly collecting the god dagger throughout the season but I can see how it would come out of nowhere since he pulled it out during the last fight at the last minute haha. The whole time though I was keeping a close eye on why he was collecting all those seemingly random artifacts since he seemed so surprised each time he found one
Normally I *HATE* the fakeout death trope but I was so attached to the main trio that I willingly bought the bullshit reason for Trevor surviving his fight with Death. *EDIT:* As for the Hector and Lenore thing, I'm not really surprised with the direction their relationship was taken. The concept of men being abused by women in relationships has almost never been taken seriously in most media and while I loved this show, i didn't really expect it to go against that.
Trevor vs Death was a 10/10 fight some of the moments where it shows Trevor and Death in the same shot showing how small he was compared to Death giving a man vs a god feeling was amazing also I like you am glad that Trevor lived because at that point him and Sypha deserve it and the fake out wasn’t terrible for me they have Germain move his keys hinting at him being able to do something allowing you to connect the dots and still leaving the chance open for you to be on the edge of your seat wondering if he will live or die also the thing about the dagger and us not knowing about it isn’t a big deal like they show him picking up the pieces for it he doesn’t have to explain it because like who would he explain it to if he told Sypha she likely wouldn’t let a suicide dagger be used by the man who will be fathering her child
My sister and I binged it yesterday. The scenes with camilla fighting were epic in idea, but the animation was wonky and looked rushed. Her fight scene against the hordes of night creatures got to the point where the animators were flashing a red line (her sword) over the screen and just transitioning from a whole night creature to a night creature that's been chopped into peices. There was enough blood to overflow her war chamber, but no bodies left lying around. At the start of the fight she is in a tight dress with long sleeves, by the end of it she is in a long flowy dress with no sleeves. And she didnt use any vampire powers until the very end. It was a beautiful story moment of a woman who wants it all to spite the men who wanted her, overreaching and losing it all. But the animation got so wonky and missed the mark so hard my sister and I just laughed at how cheaply it was done in a lot of parts. Almost felt like the camilla story was supposed to be in s5 after she had enough time to actually scheme as they say in the show but do to the writer getting cancelled they shoved it all into s4.
I 100% agree. I love season 4 but Trevor fighting death was weird to me. It didn't fit with the rest of the story. Best anime fight 2021: the trio vs vampire generals. Best scene: Issac boss walk to Camilla
Okay all valid but can we appreciate for a moment how the team did a John Wick for Issac and Carmila’s fight. Cloaking the main character (of that portion) entirely in blue, from his clothes to the background. Carmila with her red dress, blade just the metric shit ton of blood everywhere. And the entire scene basically having a blue v red vibe throughout which was very aesthetic to watch. Even the portion of issac parting the blood as he walks up the “Stairway to heaven” as I’m calling it parting the blood and then being all like I’m at peace let’s make shit now after the battle.
I really love the season but since this is the last one I wished they explained how vlad and his wife got there normal bodies also I wish they were more in-depth how powerful the knife was
With the amount of souls used, that’s a lot of power to do stuff with. Might have been residual power enough to give their souls a physical form. Trevor did destroy the Rebis with holy water and a holy weapon. Best guess I can come up with.
What's going on youtube lately? I mean that type of quality content with fun narration from a guy speaking clearly with interesting POV and great energy deserve waaay more recognition! Glad I got to find this channel tho, can't to see what it will turn into!
The season finale was a big slap to me, a fan of Castlevania. Am I supposed to believe that Dracula, the embodiment of evil, suddenly turns good AND gets a second chance in life AFTER dying? Kiss my bloody a$$. Also, why Lenore? She was my favorite in the whole new cast!!!!! 😭😭😭
@@zapperil Exactly. You know how much more they could have done? Just follow the events of Curse of Darkness and you have 2 to 3 more seasons easily! I'm not saying copy and paste it. Just make it better in their own way. God I'm pissed off. lol
The guy was a monster, but he technically did die so his sins are cleansed. Our boys Isaac and Hector still have three cities worth of death to answer to but they're our heroes so they get a pass.
@@Suijen86 That's not the point. The point is that I'm talking about Dracula here. You know? The embodiment of evil? And I'm supposed to believe that he somehow turned good? Lol nope. It doesn't change the fact either that he killed hundreds of people. He should've stayed dead for that sole reason.
@@despair_ts1823 I think the embodiment of evil is Satan but I get your point. You want justice to be delivered because he architected a genocide that has resulted hundreds of thousands of deaths. The overall theme of Castlevania is not really justice, but about growing past the trauma and so I see why Dracula got a magical 2nd chance to learn to move past the trauma. I personally don't like it especially when Lenore was the only one who didn't make it but I get where they were going with this.
Absolutely fantastic show, but I really wish that this season had been divided into two and everything before and including Isaac's conquest of Carmella's Castle was made its own season so that the events leading up to that story beat could be better fleshed-out and be allowed to better hint at Future plot points. For example, imagine if there was simply one scene where Barney finally exploded at someone and we started to see a glimpse of the power he actually held, or imagine if Trevor had gotten the chance to go more in-depth when describing death and we got one line where he described " some random shithead from Britain" that turned himself into death. Just something so that the final reveal didn't feel like it was coming entirely out of left field.
Only thing I wish that would've included and something I feel they've made a little more time for was a explaining a few more of the "magic" elements. I got kind of irritated with how much screentime they took up talking about Hector's forgemaster skills without actually telling how it works, or when he learned, and what restrictions there are. The same for Issac, Sypha, and why do certain Vampires have massive explosions when they die is it a Power level thing, the amount curse energy, progenitor genetics. I'd assume it's based off how " Damned " or how much negative karma they accumulated but I'll never know.
I liked how the plot worked. This show is hard to describe in that the slow and fast parts just happen, and I've learned that I simply enjoy them as they come, and don't expect anything more. The action scenes are exciting and the calm scenes are calming, and if we take Trevor's perspective, this is all just a bunch of stuff that's happening. I don't really even see any reason to explicitly link the plotlines because it all just works. The episodic nature is not just temporal but spatial. Now that a series is binge-able, plotting can be a bit more like a book. Episodes lengths are probably more based on traditions, or perhaps commercial sales, than anything else. I had zero problems with pacing, zero problems with any subtlety of things being introduced. Plus, I suppose if any non-linear things come out of nowhere, they can just say, "oh this is an homage to Simon's Quest where you pray here and a tornado comes out." :) :)
This final Season had Game of Thrones vibes And a lot of references, not only from Berserk, but from JoJo as well Yeah, it was rushed near the end, but not to the point of not making sense I really hope more game series and movies take notes from Castlevania, Netflix just nailed everything and made a spectacular show from one of the most simple games of the series
I noticed occasionally the characters would sometimes repeat themselves, that was kinda weird. And I'm not sure what they where going for with Zamfir (and her strangely modern haircut) beyond providing a way's for the two to reach Alucard. Then there was the moment when Varney and the Russian vampire showed up and took almost a full minute before the heroes to react to them, that just seemed like an excuse to show some extra gore against people. Those are just things that bothered me about the season.
I feel like they threw away alucards issues with his mental health. It was there but it wasn't explored enough to my liking. Also I felt like Lenore has wasted potential.
This is probably my favourite animated show. Animation, story, voices, character development, I couldnt get enough. That said, the ending is way too "happy ever after" for my taste. I have to admit, I do like it when a little darkness is woven into endings in general (because too happy I find too unrealistic and a little "darkness" enhances the weight of happened events), but it seemed to fit for this series to have a bittersweet ending. Comparable for me to GoT (only in this regard) where a too good to be true ending makes me feel like I wachted a fairy tale all along.
This was a slow cooker for me. I binged all seasons in 1 day. Started out as a hard 6/10. Stayed there right up until the last 3 episodes. Then wen’t up to a 8/10 and stayed there. Incredible. They really wrote and animated the final story and fights with a insane finesse.
My favorite part of the Isaac vs Carmilla fight is that Isaac doas not just send demons until Carmilla dies. He actually gets in on the stabing. Keep in mind Isaac killed Godbrand who was a vampire general. My boy can hold his own ageinst the strongest vampires.
Overall i like the story but the pacing is akward since they had to cram 1,5 seson into the final one, if season 3 and 4 were one final season we could space thing beter.
Death is not a God in the show. They explained it. Its not Death itself, its a being that feeds of death. Thats why Belmont calls it "just a thing". Thats why it had to scheem its way through. And was that powerful in the end due to Dracula's and his wife soul.
Last episode: - final boss of whom we never heard about - final battle that was uncalled for - magical super blade that kills death but was not explained except for one line in the epilogue - bam - pregnancy - bam - main hero died-not died. Teleport power! - bam - parents ressurected - but no they are not - but not they are. Because teleport power! - everyone gets epilogue, except for the very person who led all their lines to the final battle, resurrected and teleported people and has unfinished business. It is awfully frustrating how good this show was and how bad is writing of last episodes.
This entire season felt like they'd crammed two full seasons of content into it. And it's a little annoying to my literary senses to not have the big climax have nothing to do with all known plot lines. That being said, Isaac? He is awesome. Strongest storyline and character arc in the whole show.
This show, Kid Cosmic and Amphibia are right now my favorites animated shows this year (Invincible and Pacific Rim the Black been the closest follow in), this season of Castlevania was freaking amazing, still I would say season 1 and 2 (counting as a solo season because..they kinda were) are my favorites seasons overall, but this season was much, much better than the last.
My big issue is mostly with structure. Before the trailers, I had expect for everyone's plots to coverage so they can take on Carmilla, but with Death and Drac's resurrection in the mix, that was never gonna happen. Still, I enjoyed the season despite the flaws.
Honestly, my favorite part of this season was the monster design. In the first season it was just kinda your classic winged ghouls, but this season had those weird spider monsters, those lobster men at the beginning, and just the sheer amount of creativity with their vampires, like the hammer guy.
While the Trevor death was a cop out we did see a frame where Saint Germaine touched his key while dying as Trevor fought with death opening the infinite corridor so it’s not completely outta nowhere

And they got it nailed down to the exact same look of the game in this show!

@@cronoluminara6911 no problem
It's over? Feels like Issac and Hector have basically just gotten to arc 2 of their stories.
It feels like that for Hector but Isaac had a great arc if you ask me.
I wasnt expecting for the Isac and Hector story to never connect with the rest.

The fact that Carmilla went out with "I am Carmilla of Styria and F*CK YOU" is just amazing
Yeah she badass and it almost made forgot how evil AMD sexist she was
My oh my god moment was trevor and sypha jumping through the distance mirror and landing besides Alucard right as he needed them and them just laying waste to vampires
Nice vid :)
@Martin Toledo ridiculous, no one suspected Varney as Death. Stop playin
@Martin Toledo to add to it, after the reveal I realized that since Death eats what's left after ppl die, of COURSE he would be in the place that Dracula completely devastated (and England which is also rampant with dead ppl by itself).
@Martin Toledo he also smelled bad d:
It did feel a touch rushed id say.
However, I’m living for the entire set piece of carmilla dying
That is how a vampire queen dies.
Never playing the games I expected just a quick slash not that beast of a boss fight
@@jjcameron0096 honestly, just a quick slash would be quite underwhelming. She is a great character and a prominent villian afterall.
I didn't buy it.
Alucard and Isaac's arc is my favorite. their endings feel earned and natural.
Now thier free to do whatever they want and pursue thier goals and desires
Personally loved everything about this season. Thought all the plots were super interesting all the way through, had such an amazing script, the action was frequent and well done and the ending was perfect for me. good endings and fake deaths are super boring and predictable but for a show so dark and depressing, a happy ending is so much more effective. Honestly think my only gripe with the season was how casual sypha was about trevor being alive, but heck shes probably seen enough to not be that surprised at this point.
Glad you mentioned the dialogue. The long, interesting conversations between characters has been the highlight of this show from the start.
St. Germaine is literally just there to create this show's equivalent of the MCU. Portal to anywhere? Well looks like we can have as many crossovers as we want. I look forward to seeing Issac showing up in the Assassins Creed universe.
I actually thought they were going to tease Devil May Cry or something in season 3. Even though that's Capcom and this is Konami... let me dream...

Can we tall about the most underrated character in this show? That black horse was 💫💫💫💫
Man I want an uncensored true berserk adaptation. If anyone can do it, these guys can. AND they don't need to worry about the script. It's already flawless and ready for them.
I only hope that they reach back to do the lost children arc.
@@orangesoda4535 same. I actually think starting with the black swordsman arc would be great. It's rather clunky but I feel they could polish it up nicely knowing what follows.
if you didnt know already the producer behind the Castlevania adaptation actually had offered to make a Berserk adaptation.
@@unoriginalname9556 I heard something along the line. I wonder if Netflix turned it down or the company that owns berserk.

The angel demon that was with Issac is called the Innocent Devil/Demon and in the games it acts like his familiar protecting his and attacking his opponents.
Was it purposfully created by isaac to be the perfect familiar or was it just by chance?
@@robertharris6092 call it coincidence call it random bulshit all I know is it happened in games so the creators had to make a reference to it.
Awesome theory actually
I’m glad as a castlevania fan that people like u enjoyed the show. There’s so much that can be explored in the source material of the games. But breaking it down to a character driven story like this for a show adapted from games deserves all the praises it gets.
Finally,a Castlevania fan that doesn't blindly hate the show for being unfaithful
This was just amazing my only complaint was that germaines change to villain felt just off and Greta didn’t feel like she had enough characterization or personality that was different from any of the shows other characters
But everything with carmilla, Isaac, hector, Trevor, sypha and death just soooo good loved it
I actually like the way the pacing was because having basically a second finale in season 6 was amazing wine really improved the show to me
I thought the death god thing was very clear honestly the moment when varney said he liked the Russian dude because he was good at death and feeds on it which was like yeah he is death
I'm glad we finally got a dark show that ended with a happy ending
The "Death Dagger" is literally the video game part of the story. You see throughout the season trevor collect the parts he uses to create the weapon in the end. It was a great touch.
The wow scene for me was the snap by Isaac, unleashing his night creatures against those vampires.
That was just beautifully epic
It wasn’t a fake out, you could see Saint Germaine move his keys before it happened. Don’t call it a fake out because you weren’t paying attention.
Yup, pretty evident in the scene what happened
@@Xzilerating I think I noticed it. I was going to say fake out until I remember St. Germaine twitching his hand.
@empty shogun Hmmm good point. It might be the additional souls were needed to specifically pull Dracula and his wife back from Hell while the key on it's own allowed Germain to enter and leave the Infinite corridor. Just speculation, haven't rewatched it to check.
@Jayy Menace
100% agreed.
Although we want Trevor to live, we know deep down that kind of death works best in story telling. Especially with them pointing out Sypha was pregnant. DOUBLE especially knowing he has an epic bloodline of vampire killers down the line like Simon lol.

The Berserk reference...my heart is aching

Netflix was going to cancel the show after S4, so a rushed ending was inevitable. :/
@@Lee-lm2bn They never planned to cancel it. Warren Ellis had a lot of accusations against him that caused him to be removed from the series.
Ellis mentioned that he wasn't sure if he was going to get an S5 so he played it safe and mashed everything in one season. It really did feel rushed.
Probably the best CGI in cartoon animation in our era. Dayum

I knew they wouldnt but was really hoping hector would pull a uni reverse and turn lenora into his ass slave.
I enjoyed the show very much, I became a fan through it 💀 it makes me sad to see it’s over but at least we’ll get another series
I loved this show beginning to end rest in peace for now
Trevor vs Death was a 10/10 fight some of the moments where it shows Trevor and Death in the same shot showing how small he was compared to Death giving a man vs a god feeling was amazing also I like you am glad that Trevor lived because at that point him and Sypha deserve it and the fake out wasn’t terrible for me they have Germain move his keys hinting at him being able to do something allowing you to connect the dots and still leaving the chance open for you to be on the edge of your seat wondering if he will live or die also the thing about the dagger and us not knowing about it isn’t a big deal like they show him picking up the pieces for it he doesn’t have to explain it because like who would he explain it to if he told Sypha she likely wouldn’t let a suicide dagger be used by the man who will be fathering her child
After 2 seasons of feeling bad for Dracula, I needed that final scene!
The final fight felt the same with Trevor duel wielding and the trio vs dracula.
I really love the season but since this is the last one I wished they explained how vlad and his wife got there normal bodies also I wish they were more in-depth how powerful the knife was
I think when the knife destroyed their prepared vessel, Vlad and Lisa's souls were set free, possibly a reincarnation. We'll never know for sure. :(
With the amount of souls used, that’s a lot of power to do stuff with.
He did get reincarnated , but that's MUCH later.
Him being good too early just shut off the chance of Belmont's descendant dealing with him.
3k likes great job also ngl the animation they did on it was amazing
I loved it, my only problem is that in the last battle, when Trevor went to fight, I could only think "My guy, just walk away"
I’m glad the show ended on a great note despite a few shortcomings. Honestly, I really did enjoyed Castlevania.
Same, I would like to watch more shows like it
This final Season had Game of Thrones vibes
And a lot of references, not only from Berserk, but from JoJo as well
Yeah, it was rushed near the end, but not to the point of not making sense
I really hope more game series and movies take notes from Castlevania, Netflix just nailed everything and made a spectacular show from one of the most simple games of the series
@WolfsBane maybe spinoff then?
Carmilla's fight and death were a 10/10. You are soooo wrong on that one.
The only problem I had with season 4 is that the big three should have fought death together not just Trevor.
I'm still trying to decide if Malcolm McDowell as Death saying the F-word is awesome or dumb.
I love the Trevor vs death fight scene, it was epic for the whole house🤗
Death is not a God in the show.
They explained it. Its not Death itself, its a being that feeds of death. Thats why Belmont calls it "just a thing". Thats why it had to scheem its way through.
And was that powerful in the end due to Dracula's and his wife soul.
Last episode:
- final boss of whom we never heard about
- final battle that was uncalled for
- magical super blade that kills death but was not explained except for one line in the epilogue
- bam - pregnancy
- bam - main hero died-not died.
Thank you lol. I kept rewinding because I was so confused on how everything was moving, without being fully explained nor explored.
My boy Isaac got everything and that's all I wanted for him.
7:58 small correction, it’s Malcolm McDowell.
The best part of the season where the "death's" dialogue and the berserk pilot. That was AWESOME
In the first season it was just kinda your classic winged ghouls, but this season had those weird spider monsters, those lobster men at the beginning, and just the sheer amount of creativity with their vampires, like the hammer guy.
something I noticed lol, the teleporting ax vampire has the same sound for his teleports as Cold War zombies has for the end of a trial sound
man the only thing that i want now its that figths with more frames, like perfect
MUCH better than season 3 for sure. didn't like some things but overall enjoyable.
Death appearance was a highlight for me. As a fan of the games, I really digged that Final Boss kinda fight.
While the Trevor death was a cop out we did see a frame where Saint Germaine touched his key while dying as Trevor fought with death opening the infinite corridor so it’s not completely outta nowhere
